WWE RAW 1/8/22 | A Coherent Review.

With Triple H making some changes for the overall WWE creative process and the end of the "Jeff Jarrett weekend", I gotta make some changes as well (at least for the site) because this is going to be the last solo RAW review since I'm going to combine both of my thoughts on RAW and Smackdown called "the cohesive WWE perspective".  So yeah, how was RAW? Well, It was one of the best episodes I've seen in a VERY long time. I guess no more, " RAW Is as insane and bad as the current season of Riverdale" jokes, right?  Becky remembered who she was during her encounter with Bianca Belair.  That promo ruled and as a guy that didn't like her heel run all that much since her comeback last year, I gotta say that I'm glad she's going back babyface due to the fact that heel Bex was so vanilla for my liking.  After Bianca showed some respect to the man, the new trio known as Io Sky, Dakota Kai and Bayley attacked Becky's injured shoulder.  They a...

WWE RAW 11/4/22 | A Coherent Review.

12345, Monday Night RAW still sucks me dry (that was terrible but not as bad as Gudda Gudda infamous "I got her grocery bag" line).  This show had so many tag team matches, I thought for a second that Teddy Long was running the program.  Brock Lesnar Showed up, Spoke To Paul Heyman And Then Destroyed Alpha Academy.  Headline said everything. The line of "the one streak that Brock can't compete" referring to him not ending Roman's 700-day reign at Summerslam was perfect. As A matter of fact, that entire promo from Heyman was, no shocker, pretty good.   Damian Priest Called Rey Mysterio Old And Wanted Eddie's Son To Join The Judgment Day.   Not gonna lie, Finn Balor's promo on Rey being a bad father was the exact opposite of Heyman's promo in the opening segment.  Balor then faced "the bad father" Rey Mysterio, and it was fine.   The man with, unfortunately, the black tights won the match with the coup de grace.  No Shocker, A Becky D...

WWE RAW 20/6/22 | A Coherent Review.

RAW was okay. That's it. That's the intro.  Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley for the red women's belt ain't happening!?  The reason being is that Rhea Ripley isn't medically cleared to compete so a fatal five-way number one contender's match was set up to determine the new number one contender (spoilers, it's Carmella).  A decision I do not mind or flat out hate.  My 1 and a half viewers will know that I've been critical of WWE's series of rematches but considering it was one of the best matches of the year (yes, I'm talking about Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch), why not run it back one more time?  Riddle vs Omos. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.  Y'all are about to be so surprised when I tell you that Omos won a match again.  Omos wins with the double chokeslam to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match.  Seth Rollins showed up (used the "forehead loser sign" like every uncle in the 90s to Riddle), stated that he'll be the ...

WWE RAW 6/6/22 | A Coherent Review

Hell In A Cell was surprisingly a good PPV mainly because it didn't go for two hours after seeing 2 matches.  As far as Monday Night RAW is concerned, it was surprisingly prettay, prettay, pretty good.   Also, some guy named John Felix Anthony is coming to RAW in a few weeks. Don't know why exactly but we'll find out soon.  SETH ROLLINS ATTACKS A WHITE ALLY IN 4K.  Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame. This was an acceptable way to write off Cody Rhodes so I'm hoping for a speedy recovery from the American nightmare.  I will say, the main event scene for the men is looking as empty as the movie theatre after Morbius' re-release.  I'm hoping WWE has somewhat of a decent plan to counteract that but I highly doubt that.  Becky Lynch is sick of the 24/7 championship stuff.  Becky hates that division so badly, that she faced Dana Brooke in a match and lost thanks to Asuka holding one of Becky's legs so that Brooke goes for the quick pinfall victory.  I...

WWE RAW 30/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Is Hell In A Cell next week? Yes.  Am I excited about the show? Hell no.  Does my "productivity" increase while getting paid in pennies? Yes, yes and yes.  Is this episode really good? Ah…...No. Expect some "cool" and "this match was aight" because nothing really noteworthy happened which is Smackdown's middle name. "The nothing show" with bad creative.  Bianca Belair vs Asuka.  Now, you may think that RAW started off with a match (you know, like NXT before the skittles phase) but nope. The show actually began with the usual arrogant Becky promo that led to a brawl between her, Belair and Asuka.  This is a Wrestlemania main event worthy match and it kinda sucks that it's happening on a random forgettable episode of RAW. However, at least I enjoyed it for what it was.  Belair's defeat over Asuka was followed by an immediate beatdown from Becky Lynch.  Ezekiel (or as Kevin Owens would say "Ezekiel") Rey And Dominik Mysterio vs...

WWE RAW 23/5/22 | A Coherent Review

You know that time has passed by when Doctor Strange has been in cinemas near you for 3 weeks and the Naomi and Sasha walkout situation is a week old.  Meanwhile, my hairline is still receding so time hasn't changed all that much. But, at least this week's Monday Night RAW episode didn't piss me off (that would be a lie, my guy).  Look At Riddle Supporting His Friend, Randall.  Hey now, Riddle will probably do something devious. After all, he is a POS. For real though, it does look like Orton's back issues are real based on a few news articles I've read. Wishing Randall Keith Orton a Reverse-Flash level speedy recovery.  Riddle then teamed up with the Street Profits to face The Usos and Sami Zayn and it was fine. Riddle stood tall in the end as he led his team to victory.  Bobby Lashley said, "Hey, MVP. Me And You In A Match Tonight."  Headline once again doing God's work describing a 10-minute segment however, headline missed one key point. And that i...

WWE RAW 16/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Oh boy. The entire situation of Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out is literally the thing people are talking about the show even though it's not a work.  The thing that we all should take away from this is knowing our value and if anybody doesn't see it then to quote Rick Ross, "F**k EM!"  Oh, and RAW was aight, I guess. The thing that I appreciated about the episode is that it had some sense of direction in certain aspects which WWE has lacked for a minute now.  Omos vs Bobby Lashley In A Steel Cage.  My man Bobby is struggling inside a salad steel cage. And so was Cedric as he fell from the top of the cage. Lashley escaped the cage which means Bob the destroyer is the winner.  The match was surprisingly enjoyable.  Mustafa Ali vs Veer Mahaan With Special Guest Referee, The Miz.  Once again, The Miz screwed Mustafa over and as a result, Veer took it as an advantage to tap Ali out and win the whole thing as a result.  When will Mustafa slap the sh*...

WWE RAW 9/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w...

WWE RAW 2/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Holy crap, it's already MAY!? Better yet, Wrestlemania Backlash is next week!? I'm feeling like Dr Manhattan because time is an illusion at this point. Oh, and RAW was like a breeze if that breeze was 3 hours long.  RKBRO And Drew McIntyre Didn't Acknowledge Roman Reigns.  A brawl ensued after Roman Reigns uttered the sentence "acknowledge me" which has been the only thing Roman Reigns has said in what feels like an eternity.  WWE getting rid of their tag title unification for Backlash is a sign that they're saving it for another show or something which screams WWE booking.  Either way, the writing going into Wrestlemania Backlash is like eating Subway in that it kinda sucks.  The Street Profits And Ezekiel vs Alpha Academy And Kevin Owens.  A mediocre backstage segment led to a decent 6 man tag team match, playas! The babyfaces did lose this one but at least, Chad Gable actually pinned somebody for the win, right?  Veer Mahaan PROVES That He Is Once A...

WWE RAW 25/4/22 | A Coherent Review.

We all have been saying "RAW Is Bore" for too long and now (at least for this week) it's "RAW Is Decent"?  Legacy Reunion Minus Ted Dibiase.  That was one part of the entire Randy Orton's 20th career anniversary aka the "superstars interrupting a champion" cliche but without the champion in question.  After Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Ezekiel and The Usos showed up to the ring, Adam Pearce decided to schedule an 8 man tag team match, playas!  That tag match (which was fun not gonna lie) saw the babyfaces in Cody Rhodes, Randal Keith, Riddal and "2022's Mr America '' Ezekiel as the winners of the bout.  Side note, why was The Usos talking about how they've watched Randy Orton as children like they haven't been with WWE for over 12 years (you know, the pre-career-threatening injury Edge)? Bianca Belair vs Sonya Deville For The RAW Women's Championship.  A match that I thought would happen two weeks from now but unsurprisin...

WWE RAW 18/4/22 | A Coherent Review.

How was Monday Night RAHHHHHH this week? It's the same old, "it's not great but better than last week".  Seth Rollins Was Like, "MY Wrestlemania Loss Against Cody Rhodes Was A Fluke."  Why? Because according to the man himself, Drippy Jesus wasn't prepared for a big comeback match so he proposed a rematch against the white savior in nature, Cody Rhodes on this very show and Cody responded with, "Yessir. Imma finna beat you a** my G".  The match didn't happen (a good decision on their end) so instead, Cody faced Kevin Owens (because Seth later pulled out of the match) and the bout itself ended via a count-out due to the fact that Owens basically said, "F it. I'm out."  Ever since Rollins lost against Cody, I knew we were getting a rematch. I just didn't expect Seth to portray as somewhat of a heel rather than a full-fledged one, ya know.  It's still the only feud that's worthy of my interest going into the Backlash ...

WWE RAW After Wrestlemania 38 | A Coherent Review.

The RAW after Wrestlemania where for a while, we're told that we cheer the bad guys and boo the good guys.  Not gonna lie, last year's RAW after Wrestlemania was one of the worst of all time and I'm happy to tell you that this year's show is nowhere near that.  That doesn't mean it was spectacular spiderman levels of good, it was just decent for what it was presented.  Cody Rhodes Is Going To Win Titles As A Thank You To The American Dream As Well As The People.  The headline pretty much described the entire segment other than the fact that SR The Drip Mane, Seth Rollins interrupted the guy and shook Cody's hands.  I'll tell you this, it's far better than his Anthony Ogogo promo last year. The more I don't talk about that moment, the happier I'll be. Sasha Banks And Naomi vs Rhea Ripley And Liv Morgan. If Rhea And Liv Win, They Face Banks And Naomi For The Women's Tag Team Championship.  Ah, yes. The "beat the champion in order to get a ...

WWE RAW Before Wrestlemania 38 | A Coherent Review.

There it is. My 3rd time covering the RAW Before a Wrestlemania and like the previous years, it's pretty skippable and the reviews have the same amount of viewers as every lifetime movie on TV in that nobody watches or really cares about it.  And how was this week's episode of Monday Night RAW? To my surprise, it was pretty decent honestly.  Roman Reigns And Brock Lesnar exchanged a battle of the "I'm going to beat you at WrestleMania" line.  And who won that game? It's Brock obviously due to the way he said, "Welcome to Monday Night RAW" in the way only Lesnar can. Mike Rome looked at that and said, "I need to be the ring announcer that stepped up."  Both guys did a decent job of hyping this match and there's nothing to go further than that.  Akira Towaza gave a diamond ring to Tamina signalling a marriage of sorts (no sh*t, Omar) after they took down flippy Reg and his white friend. Cool.  Rey Mysterio vs The Miz.  Lucha Logan? More l...

WWE RAW 21/3/22 | A Coherent Review.

We’re a few weeks till the so-called, “show of shows” and this has been by far, the weakest build I’ve ever covered. It’s so bad, I'll bet your "MyGm" playthrough in 2K22 had a better build.  And this episode proved my point. It isn’t the worst RAW I’ve seen but it’s definitely one of the most mediocre ones out there.  At least Veer is finally COMING! My man should talk to Sean Ross Sapp for a blue chew sample because it took him forever to come.  Kevin Baldwens!?  BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THAT WAS AWFUL!  Owens, dressed as the rattlesnake himself, decided to mess with the audience by mocking Steve Austin (and no, it's not because Austin is apparently a fan of the Backstreet boys).  I will give Kevin credit here. He's trying to make this arc work but honestly, I'm not a fan of the execution mainly because the rivalry will lead to one big talk show segment at WrestleMania and NOTHING ELSE (could be wrong though).  Seth Rollins Wanted Styles To Take ...
