WWE RAW 12/7/21 | A Coherent Review.

This week's Monday Night RAW episode marks the end of the Thunderdome as we know it. I'm not gonna lie, when I think of the "Thunderdome era", I think of two things.  Roman Reigns and the worst series of episodes of Monday Night RAW I've ever covered on this very site. I'm sure that once the episodes will be conducted in a live setting again, the red brand will be so much better to digest, right?  Maybe according to Pete Roseburg but not me, I'll tell ya that much!  This week's RAW had its usual mediocre and predictable setting with a few highlights.  Images via WWE.com   Bobby Lashley vs Xavier Woods.  Not as solid as their Hell In A Cell match encounter a few weeks back but it's fine, I guess.  Woods pulled an inside cradle to win the match clean as a whistle. Making your champ lose a week before a PPV is pretty lame in most cases but seeing the final segment of the night, kinda enhanced the storyline Or, they might "plant the seeds" fo...

WWE RAW 5/7/21 | A Coherent Review.

The build for the Money In The Bank show continues as the red brand is surprisingly delivering a decent job at it so far.  The question is, did this episode continue its solid build towards the next PPV or nah? Not really.  While the episode was as a whole, pretty average. It does have its highlights and here's why.  Images via WWE.com   The Miz. Special Guests, Feels like Everybody. This segment was basically The Miz and John Morrison being interfered by Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles (along with Omos) and the piece of dogsh*te himself, Riddle.  Riddle was sitting on top of the ladder throughout the entire segment just talking about getting high or something to which Omos and later AJ Styles, further damaged Riddle's knee.  This opening act was as basic as it gets. Ricochet's mic presence is so mediocre, he makes Dana Carvey look like an Oscar contender in the process.  It was just one long "meh" that feels like I'm going through the motions....

WWE RAW 28/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

This episode isn't all that great. However, it wasn't offensive to my viewing eyes. Simply put, The show was passable.  I will say, the episode didn't feel like it dragged on, which is ironic because that is by far,  the red brand's biggest weakness.  Images via WWE.com A Battle Royal Match To Determine The Participant In The Last Chance Triple Threat Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.  Riddle sent Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville a letter that "was written by Randy Orton" so that Riddle can compete on the battle royal on Randy's behalf.  The decision-makers were in favour of that idea so Riddle's in the match.  A short entertaining scene is all I'm going to say.  The match itself wasn't really noteworthy other than the fact that Riddle was victorious in the end.  In an interview with Kevin Patrick, Styles wasn't happy that the match is a triple threat match and how Omos has to overwork himself to oversee the entire bout. Cool.  Nikki Cross v...

WWE RAW 21/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

Holy f**king sh*t! This week's episode of Monday Night RAW was pretty enjoyable? In other words, the resident WWE shill is back, baby! Such a shill in fact that I avoid watching NXT UK, 205 Live and WWE Main Event.  Images via WWE.com   Kofi Kingston Challenges Bobby Lashley To A WWE Title Bout At Money In The Bank.  In MVP's VIP Lounge, The New Day showed up and Kofi Kingston challenged Bobby Lashley to a match for the big championship at Money In The Bank.  And with no hesitation, Bobby accepted the challenge. Xavier Woods has a match challenge of his own for Bob Lashley.  Woods wanted the encounter to take place inside Hell In A Cell and Bob was like,"Yea, I accept. Cool."  The thing I love about Lashley's run is his confidence. His confidence in that he can beat up anybody because he's God damn powerful in the ring.  WWE could've easily made him execute a typical heel move and say, "no" to all types of challenges but they didn't.  And tha...

WWE RAW 14/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

I, as usual, had an expectation for this program that was lower than Pluto Nash's box office records.  However, coming out of watching the go-home show for Hell In A Cell, I was extremely surprised by how inoffensive this episode was for the most part.  Images via WWE.com The show opened with the usual hoekie shite from Alexa Bliss. Nia Jax showed up at her playground and Jax challenged her to a match.  And, the match happened later in the night and it ended with the worst-selling of a DDT I've ever seen by Jax followed by the twisted Bliss but Reginald interfered in Alexa's pin and that's how Bliss won the match (That entire match got me shouting, "BOOOOOOOOOOO!").  I'm all for professional wrestling embracing the scripted nature of the industry because the creative liberties that the business has as a result of embracing the scripted nature of the industry are high.  This is why part of me respects what WWE is trying to do with Alexa Bliss.  The cinemati...

WWE RAW 31/5/21 | A Coherent Review.

I was recently reading my RAW reviews from 2019 and the thing that is common in all of those reviews was that while I had some issues with those episodes, the shows were decent as a whole.  2021, however, is, of course, a different story. Ever since the fall of last year, I've been consistently getting terrible episode after terrible episode that is giving SNL a run for its money.  At this point, criticizing Monday Night RAW is a God damn routine.  Images via WWE.com   The Miz TV. Special Guest, Charlotte Flair.  As told by the headline above, the show opened with Miz TV. A segment that literally nobody looks forward to.   You had John Morrison legit wearing a necklace that is covered in garlic for protecting himself from any supernatural thing appearing which was PEAK CRINGE.  Charlotte Flair stated that she'll send Rhea Ripley to hell in 3 weeks (by the way, this is still a weird decision to move the Hell In A Cell show in the summer but whateve...
