WWE Smackdown 31/1/20 | My Coherent Review.

I said in my Smackdown review a few weeks back that this show is quote "has improved bit by bit as of late but not drastic as I hope it would be."  I don't know what kind of drink I consumed but this episode was the exact opposite of "improved". It was an episode that made me question myself if I actually like wrestling or not.  Will have to tune in next week if the return of "The Dirt Sheets" and a Daniel Bryan live segment convinces me otherwise.  Roman Reigns And King Corbin Have Some Unfinished Business That Frustrates Fans (Like Moi).  The heading above sounds like a Kayfabe news article but it was not my fellow wrestling fans.  Roman Reigns and The Usos opened about the big dog's win at Royal Rumble to which King Corbin and his gang challenged him to a 6 man tag team match and Reigns accepts but adds a stipulation that the loser of the match eats dog food.  This reminds me of when you're friend challenges you to a

My Late Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Worlds Collide 2020 Recap, AEW Bash At The Beach And Rock And Wrestling Rager Recap (Mostly).

If you can't tell from the headline above, this is a late Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays post as I missed over 3 weeks of television on both NXT and AEW Dynamite due to a project I was working on that has nothing to do with this site that I apparently said on Twitter was "personal issues" for some odd reason (and yes, it is still in "pre-production" to use movie lingo).  There will be an actual "My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays" review tomorrow talking about the current episodes of both NXT TV and AEW Dynamite but for now, here are my Late Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays.  NXT        A Worlds Collide 2020 Recap.  Since the NXT shows were building towards this show, I might as well talk about it. This was a fun 2 and a half hours of pro wrestling.  The opening match with Balor and Dragunov was solid. The fatal four-way cruiserweight championship match was outstanding. Undisputed Era vs Imperium and the NXT Championship match between Rh

WWE Royal Rumble 2020 | My Coherent Review.

via WWE First off, rest in peace to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. I'm not the biggest fan of basketball but I do recognize his impact in the sport and how he puts out a show like no other. It is a devastating day indeed.  My friends over at Daily DDT tweeted about this whole thing best especially as a wrestling fan going into the biggest pro wrestling show of the year. Wrestling can be the greatest escape sometimes, and tonight is one of those nights where many of us need an escape. So I hope everyone enjoys tonight's Rumble. The surprises, the returns, the feel-good moments...let's all enjoy it together as one community. 💜 — Daily DDT (@FanSidedDDT) January 26, 2020 Now, let's talk some wrestling. Royal Rumble 2020 was a great show as a whole. Both Rumble matches were tied on being the best of the night while a fantastic universal championship strap match came in second.  Also, I actually watched the entire pre-show. Yayyy. For those n

WWE RAW 20/1/20 | My Coherent Review.

A mediocre final Monday Night RAW episode before the 2020 Royal Rumble event. Nothing on that show was even good other than two matches. Also, I've skipped most of my thoughts on the backstage interviews and that's due to it's unseasoned, skippable aspect of those segments for the most part and that tradition will continue even on the Smackdown and the PPV reviews.  Seth Rollins Overjoys About His New Disciple.  The self-proclaimed messiah of Monday nights thanked the fans for showing him his true purpose and also thanked his new disciple Buddy Murphy for embracing his fate. Out came Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe and they wanted less talking and more fighting. Rollins basically replied by telling them that it is not wise to fight the 4 of "us" in himself, AOP and Buddy Murphy.  Joe verbally countered that saying that he and Owens are not alone and they brought up the RAW tag team champions, Viking Raiders leading to a brawl.  This was a decent way to s

The 5 News Week: Bret Hart. The Next Guest On Stone Cold's Broken Skull Sessions?, WWE Made How Much From YouTube!?

We're back. Well, I'm back given that I do this all by myself but in any case, The 5 News Week has returned to your feeds wherever ever it may be. In case you're new here, basically, in one article I share the 5 major or minor news of the week. Now, there were a lot of news that I've missed in 3 weeks including a story of a WWE shareholder suing WWE and Vince McMahon (how the hell didn't I report about this?).  I'm rambling on so without further useless explanations, here are the 5 News Week.  Bret Hart. The Next Guest On Stone Cold's Broken Skull Sessions? Steve Austin has interviewed some of the wrestlers he has faced over the years on his Broken Skull Sessions show with the exception of Goldberg other than a few stare downs in a feud that everyone wishes to forget.  Another person that is no stranger to the rattlesnake is the hitman himself Bret Hart and he's reportedly the next guest. From PWInsider and Mike Johnson, Bret was in the City

WWE Smackdown 17/1/20 | My Coherent Review.

I thought this episode of Smackdown was fine. It wasn't boring other than one segment and it wasn't offensively horrendous in the eyes of a fan like myself either. Smackdown on FOX his improved bit by bit as of late but not drastic as I hope it would be.  Kane Announces His Role In The Royal Rumble Match.  Nothing says that WWE is now moving forward by starting off an episode with Kane. The big red machine tells his story in his record in the Royal Rumble match.  Bray Wyatt showed up via the firefly funhouse and he mentioned that he never forgot Kane while showing videos of Bray's first major feud in WWE with the big red machine almost 7 years back.  The Fiend rose from under the ring and Kane looks at Wyatt saying that he never forgets. That line from Kane was for Daniel Bryan to hit the running knee to The Fiend only for the alter ego to disappear once more.  Bryan in an interview with Kalya Braxton, challenges Bray Wyatt for the universal champio
