WWE RAW 27/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

The red brand this week was just okay. It wasn't as good as last week's edition but I didn't hate the show as a whole (except the RAW women's championship).  And yes, I did miss reviewing last week's show so apologies.  Randy Orton Verbally Brought Up The WWE Champion.  So, this program kicked off with, you guessed it, Randy Orton and he passionately says that the greats like The Rock and Steve Austin can't compare to his consistency and longevity in WWE.  He then, like the title tells, verbally brought up the WWE champion, Drew McIntyre and Orton challenged him for a match at SummerSlam for the prestigious title in the history of wrestling.  A great promo from the legend killer and honestly, anybody can see that match happening from kilometres away.  We got from one in-ring promo segment to another as Nia Jax mentions that she wants the RAW women's title.  Out came Shayna Baszler and she said to Jax's face that nobody

The 5 News Week: There Was Supposed To Be A New Nation Of Domination Stable!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. Why Did The Sasha Banks And Asuka Match Have A Head Scratching Ending? The boss and the empress of tomorrow had a match of the night at Extreme Rules this past Sunday but the ending is a different story.  So, why did an over-complicated type of an ending like this was written into the PPV?  Well, good old Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez stated on Wrestling Observer Radio (From Cagesideseats ) that the finish was layed off like that so that the rematch (which was announced on the recent episode of Monday) will happen.  The hope for that is to "pop a number" in the ratings.  In other words, it was a reported marketing decision (no f'ing sh*t, Omar). Hey, at least we're getting a rematch, right?  Mike Bennett On Contemplating Leaving Pro W

WWE Smackdown 17/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

This recent instalment of Smackdown was decent.  The women, for the most part, was the standout in this program and it honestly carried the show from a meh to a decent watch.  The show started off with Jeff Hardy and Sheamus talking about the upcoming bar fight which you can scroll down to read my thoughts on it.  Sasha Banks and Bayley Gives Us A New Perspective Of The Word "Greatness".  The so-called "golden role models" were praising their greatness to which Nikki Cross was furious about the way she lost at Extreme Rules.  So, Nikki wanted a rematch for the SmackDown women's championship and Bayley accepted that bout if Nikki faces her best friend, Alexa Bliss to determine the number one contender.  That match started immediately after this segment and it was a good opener.  Bayley and Sasha Banks were entertaining in the commentary as per usual.  When Corey Graves brought the fact that Bayley didn't want to hit Bliss

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Eddie Kingston Debuts At AEW, Keith Lee Relinquishes The North American Title.

I thought the pacing for NXT this week was better than Dynamite. However, who delivered the better show this week?  That was something I had to think about for hours after my consumption of NXT and AEW had ended because It was a battle in my head essentially.  After long hard thinking, I have to give the edge to the Elite.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  An Announcement Regarding The NXT North American Championship.  The double champ, Keith Lee gave huge news about his other championship that he's holding, the North American title.  The news is that he's going to relinquish the championship so that he could give the roster an opportunity.  So, the NXT general manager, William Regal had an idea.  That idea is hosting a series of triple threat matches and the winner of each match will face each other for the North American Championship at NXT Takeover: 30 on August in a *Dario Cueto voice* A LADDER MATCH!!   K

WWE The Horror Show At Extreme Rules 2020 | A Coherent Review.

Another show that ended in 2 and a half hours? WHAT IS THIS, THE EARLY 2000S!? Overall, I thought the horror show at Extreme Rules wasn't a horror show pun intended.  It was a good show but not without some of the typical head-scratching moments that come with the main roster PPV programs.  PRESHOW: Kevin Owens vs Murphy.
