Wrestling Publications And Web Design.

The internet is home to over 50 billion websites and within the pro wrestling niche, there are 60+ established sites that fans click into on a daily basis for news, editorials, reviews, interviews and other exclusive content.  Those websites have four key critical tasks. One, the content obviously. Two, the design and functionality of said sites. Three, just copy what Dave Meltzer said. And four, just make sh*t up.  Creating a site is a different beast. Some use Blogger like this site while others use square-space, Wix, or even code a site from the ground up.  The problem with developing a web page from scratch is that it's time-consuming and you have to learn some mark-up languages like HTML and CSS.  It's essentially a great skill that isn't worth it if you want a site in minutes. Now, the main question is, why am I writing this article in the first place?  When you learn a skill, you tend to have a different view on a product that is connected with the skill you're s

WWE Royal Rumble 2022 | A Coherent Review.

Royal Rumble 2022. Sponsored by a Logic song from 9 years ago, you know, before his corny arc.  It's my 4th year reviewing the annual Royal Rumble show and so, a question you may be wondering (you weren't but for the sake of it), how does this PP…….excuse me, premium live event hold up compared to the recent Royal Rumble shows?  It was just kinda there. Other than the opening contest, the program didn't do much for me.  Images via WWE.com Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins For The Universal Championship.  What a way to kick this PLE (doesn't have a ring to it) with this absolute banging of bangers.  While yes, the bout ended via a DQ due to Roman Reigns still locking on the guillotine, the context of the story being told with Rollins wearing the Shield attire and the way the former universal champion disrespected the current universal champion last night, made a whole lot of sense.  In other words, I thought the entire thing was f**king brilliant storytelling if you ask me.

WWE Smackdown 28/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown before the 2022 Royal Rumble was pretty f*king skippable. Nothing too major happened which is, unfortunately, to be expected these days.  Images via WWE.com   Legit Royal Rumble Winner!?  At least that's what the entire opening scene implied based on Sasha Banks standing tall in the end after the likes of Aliyah, Natalya, "holy sh*t, Aliyah is getting more of a push than I do" Shayna Baszler and "I'm still here" Shotzi.  I guess the ending was one big stan fan cam so that's cool, I guess.  Ricochet And Cesaro vs Sheamus And Ridge Holland.  Yay! A rematch from the Day One show. The big bruf pinned the Swiss superman to win the tag team bout. Coolirnos.  Naomi vs Sonya Deville.  Oh, my pog of all pogs. This was a fun encounter. I guess the groundhog day of wrestling segments benefited in the end? Not really.  After the glow queen defeated a certified Susan, Sonya Deville, the current WWE official decided to include herself in the women's Roya

Top 3 BEST Distraction Finishes EVER!

Distraction endings to a wrestling match in WWE depend on one another if you think about it. It's like the peanut butter and jelly or the chicken and the basmati biryani rice or Dan Lambert and sexism.  "Why top 3", you may ask? Because one, I'm different and two, well, I'm different, so be gone to the mofos that think it's shorter than Brock Lesnar's bout with Kofi Kingston.  (WARNING: This piece is mostly sarcasm).  Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus. Wrestlemania 28.  I know this made your eyebrows raise as high as Rocky Maivia but think about this. The kiss from AJ Lee that led to a brogue kick from Sheamus, has in some way, led to the general audience seeing how Daniel Bryan should be WAY higher in the overall arc than where he was at that time.  Also, this was also the year where Bryan showed off his comedic chops with his "NO" catchphrase and his tag team run with the big red conservative, Kane.  If anything, this distraction finish was a great chara

WWE RAW 24/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Monday Night RAW had the "it's not bad" type of episode this week. That's it. That's my take on the red white ropes brand.  Kid Brock Looking Like A Cowboy, Baby!  Massive apologizes for that headline above that is referring to a man that appreciates his "southern heritage".  This opening act was an actual weigh-in for both men. The WWE champion also weighs in on how Bob isn't walking out of the Royal as a 2-time champion because Bobby WHO!?  I enjoyed the way Paul allows Brook Laser to embrace his antics by letting the big man talk. It's actually a fresh way to spice up Heyman and Lesnar's overall chemistry.  Bianca Belair vs Queen Zelina Vega.  Why has this match lasted for more than a minute? I have no idea since Belair could've easily defeated one half of the women's tag champion with ease.  At least the EST won the match with the KOD so that does it, I guess?  Kevin Owens vs Damian Priest For The United States Championship.  Fina

A Few News I Guess: AEW's Presence INCLUDED In The Royal Rumble!?

Since this week's news is as slow as a Monday Night RAW episode, I decided to showcase a few news, I guess?  AEW's Presence INCLUDED In The Royal Rumble!?  With talks of the "forbidden door" especially pertaining to Mickie James' upcoming Royal Rumble match appearance as THE knockouts champion, rumours have been circulating regarding AEW's presence on one of the big 4 that could make AEW fans' cholesterol increase. Fortunately for the showerless individuals, they can rest now if they believe what Dave Meltzer of thewordmarkislikethenword.com has heard from his snitches.  In the Observer Newsletter (from WrestlingInc ), Meltzer specifically mentioned that there is NO AEW involvement whatsoever this coming Saturday.   I, for one, love the idea of breaking down the "forbidden door" because it benefits the industry as a whole whether it's for the people working in the business or the people outside of the sector that are just fans.  Fingers cross

WWE Smackdown 21/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another time Pat McAfee shows me why he's better than Corey Graves. Both in the ring AND on the commentary table.  As far as how I feel about this week's episode, it ain't good, people. It ain't good.  An Image via WWE.com   Sethy Mane Wanted A Tag Partner So….………. That he faces The Usos later in the show and if drippy Jesus wins, 2 out of 3 members of the Bloodline are barred off ringside in the blue title encounter (in case you were wondering, Kevin Owens was Seth's tag partner).  BUTTTTTTTTTTTT! The tribal chief had other ideas. He proposed a pitch where if the "burn it down" man loses the tag match, the Rumble match is gone, FINITO!  Bully Ray probably saw Seth Rollins' uttering Jox Moxley's name and reacted, "HOW DARE YOU!! BLASPHEMY!"  Fortunately for SR The Drip Mane, he got what he wanted via a DQ finish thanks to a superman punch from Roman Reigns. While the ending did protect the tag champs, the consequences of i

THE Coherent AEW Take: God, all the lead, I'm Jon Moxley!

Apologies for avoiding talking about AEW's flagship shows this week. Luckily, my avoidance of sorts wasn't as bad as when my man Hangman Page took the blackout from Lance Archer on top of the chair.  That's a Will Smith type of pain that I just cannot handle because back pains are the worst.  I did enjoy what the elite brand had to offer this past week so let's get to it.  Rampage.  Highlights.  Adam Cole vs Trent Beretta.  I bet Cole looked at Trent's military buzz cut and said, "thank God it ain't me."  What I would bet on is this match because it's the best encounter of the entire episode.  The person calling himself "TheChugs" on Twitch, won the match with the last shot.  Some Other Things That Happened.  Shawn Spears sends a message to CM Punk - Wait, Spears' alive!?  Leyla Hirsch, Kris Statlander and Red Velvet lost to Nyla Rose, The Bunny And Penelope Ford - It doesn't include a monarch character with a bad oie bruf accen

The 5 News Week: An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.

WE'RE BACK LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND NB! Now, what did I miss from the several week hiatus?  *Scrolls down at the news feed* a billionaire said something stupid. Monday Night RAW is still duh and uninspired. Mass release of talent by WWE.  So……. Same old sh*t? Figures.  For those unaware (pretty much everybody), The 5 News Week is where I showcase 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have the time to do separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 News Week.  An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.  I kick things off with an interview from a guy that I'm hoping (as a musician) appreciates Brie Bella's theme song because my music tastes suck, musician John Kiernan.  If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you’re listening to a podcast that loves shouting out the names John “loose cannon” Lopez and ‘Beast Mode” Brock Joseph at the beginning.  Kiernan has composed and straight-up killed it in the pro wrestling music space for over a decade in

WWE Smackdown 14/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

WOAH, WOOOOOAH *Insert drums* BURN IT DOWN *insert more drums* Don't know why I just quoted Seth Rollins' theme song. Probably because I'm bored and have nothing else better to do on a Saturday afternoon (which explains the Smackdown review).  Now, how was the show? It was aight.  The Viking Raiders vs Angel And Humberto Carrillo vs Jinder Mahal And Shank vs Mansoor And Cesaro. Winner Gets A Blue Tag Belt Opportunity.  The best part about all of this was The Usos introduction of all 4 members. Gotta say, they're pretty natural at this and wouldn't mind them doing ring announcing full time.  The only thing they should avoid is threatening somebody with WWE lawyers.  The Viking Raiders won the whole thing and all I can say is, finally! No more Viking Raiders vs Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss matches.  Why WWE Be Messing With Sami Like That!?  That "InZayn" stunt show is sad to watch. He should've been doing so much better than trying to do knockoff Jacka**

WWE RAW 10/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

You would think because I posted a RAW review early, the episode is actually good, right?  I yawned twice instead of 4 or 5 times so that's nice, I guess.  Images via WWE.com   Brock and Brocker Walked Near A Tree. At The Rumble, We're Going To See The One Two Three.  What I was trying to say is that both Lesnar and Lashley interacted with each other for the very first time. And the WWE champion wasted no time to roast Bob (kinda like the Distraction podcast every week).  Side note, Bobby said before all of this that the Hurt Business is no more to which my question is, why did they reunite the stable several months ago? Just like the Kevin Owens pie incident, we'll never know the answer to that question.  To confirm that the Hurt Business is DELETED off of their narrative hard drive, Lashley took out both Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.  All I can say about it is, utilize your f**king talented performers, world wrestling entertainment!  RKBRO vs Alpha Academy For Th

WWE Smackdown 7/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Are you ready for a GOOOOOOOOD time!" Well, not really since I found out about my workin…….. I mean productivity schedule.  Enough about my sad adult life, how was Smackdown this week? It was surprisingly enjoyable considering how mediocre Smackdown has been as of late.  Images via WWE.com Brick Laser Beam Approach The Tribal Chief For A Title VS Title Match.  And the universal champion was like, "We'll do this my time" aka it's happening.  The Brook man questioned the way Heyman praised the blue champ which led to a superman punch from Roman to the WWE champion.  I don't hate this idea. Bring it on, I guess?  Rick Boogs vs Sami Zayn.  You know Zayn has been underutilized when he got a jobber entrance. Rick wins the match. Oh, and Johnny Knoxville threw Sami over the top rope. Again, WHO!?  Charlotte Flair Show Us The Participants For This Year's Women's Royal Rumble Match.  I can't believe WWE did this. Summer Rae is coming back and all I can say
