WWE Crown Jewel 2021 | A Coherent Review.

First off, apologies for not reviewing RAW and NXT this week. Blame this thing called "productivity".  Secondly, the 2021 edition of the Crown Jewel PPV is actually watchable as well as you know, GOOD!?  I swear to God, their marketing didn't get me. The Usos defeated the Hurt Business in a solid tag team bout. This may sound repetitive but God, I'm so happy that The Hurt Business are reunited and guess what? It feels so good.  Images via WWE.com Seth Rollins vs Edge In A Hell In A Cell match.  We kicked things off hot (get it? Because it's taking place in Saudi Arabia).  The only time I can recall Edge being inside Hell In A Cell was when he went straight to Hell thanks to a chokeslam by the Undertaker (no sh*t, Omar).  The question is, did the same lose fate happen to Edge? Nah. The dude prevailed in the end with a stomp on Seth Rollins while the chair was on the mat.  I enjoyed the hell out of this encounter (pun intended). The ending was a fitting ...

WWE Super Showdown 2020 | My Coherent Review.

Super showdown 2020 was dull, boring and even frustrating at times. The two previous Saudi shows from last year were surprisingly okay but this was just a flavourless taste in my mouth and this is coming from the resident WWE shill. By far, the worst PPV of 2020 so far.  PRESHOW: The Viking Raiders vs The O.C. In Luke Gallows And Karl Anderson.  A skippable match that we've seen for the gazillionth time. Yay for unwanted repetition! The O.C wins. Cool.  MAIN-SHOW: AJ Styles vs. Andrade vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Erick Rowan vs. R-Truth vs. Rey Mysterio. Gauntlet Match for the Tuwaiq Trophy.  R Truth and Bobby Lashley started off this match and Truth wins via a roll-up. Lashley then attacks R Truth (like we've not seen that spot before) to which out came the second opponent of the night, the returning Andrade and the way that encounter ended was odd yet somehow not horrible.  Both men hit each other with their heads and Truth pins the guy to keep fight...

WWE Super Showdown 2020 | My Coherent Predictions.

Via WWE.  Since I've not done a predictions piece in many moons and how this episode of RAW was one big meh, I thought it would've been an appropriate time to write down my predictions for the first Saudi show of the year.  Now, how was the build for Super Showdown 2020? It was 50/50. The RAW side did a decent job while the current face of the word "mediocrity", Smackdown's build was skippable at best and uninteresting at worst. Without further ado, here are the predictions.  The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) vs. The Miz and John Morrison For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  As much as I enjoy both tag teams, this wasn't a good build and a great example of me not caring anything on what's going on the blue brand. Who do I think grabs the belts? The answer is in the Dirt sheets.  I Predict: The Miz And John Morrison.  Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin In A Steel Cage. The train of uninteresting Smackdown matches continues as I'...

WWE Crown Jewel 2019 | My Coherent Review.

An okay effort by WWE even though I was expecting a lot worse but then again, SuperShowdown was also okay so I shouldn't be that surprised. I haven't seen the pre-show so I can't talk about it.  Also, WWE has made an announcement hours back that the Survivor Series warfare between two brands has now added another brand in NXT and I'm very excited but also curious. How does the upcoming NXT Takeover show affect this? We shall wait and see very soon.  Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez For The WWE Championship.  So, Bork Laser won the match with the Kamura lock and then Mysterio tried to stop Brock (so that's his real name) from letting go of the submission hold, however, Rey ate an f5 to which he challenged Brock to a match in his backstage interview with Bryon Saxton.  I mean, Cain wouldn't take the title from Brock in his WWE debut match so it is to be expected. Oh, and the match was not good like really not good.  20 Man Tag Team Turmoil Match To D...

WWE Super Showdown 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Today was a weird day for me. I saw the movie X Men: The Dark Phoenix and Super showdown hours later. Both the movie and the PPV were surprisingly okay with some problematic moments. Life goes in mysterious ways sometimes.  Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin for the Universal Championship.  Rollins rocking the Avengers: Endgame time travel gear pretty well I must say. The crowd in Jeddah were into the match even though the match was fine. During the match, Corbin did a spinning slam of some sort to Seth but the champ kicked out.  The match ended with Baron arguing with the ref which made the ref pissed off. That led to Seth pinning Corbin with the roll up and won the match. A finished we've seen before but rarely do we see it in modern day WWE and it was alright. After the match, Brock was gonna cash in the championship but Seth countered it with a low blow, series of chair shots on Brock's back and a stomp on the briefcase.  Brock, you should've cashed in ...
