Fastlane 2021 was…. Good? It had a disappointing start but after 2 and a half hours, I came out of watching this show with a somewhat satisfying feeling.  Oh, and I'm finally glad to see that Retribution is no more.  Images via WWE.com   Sasha Banks And Bianca Belair vs Nia Jax And Shayna Baszler For The Women's Tag Team Championship.  A match that didn't need to happen but alas. The build for the Banks and Belair bout at Wrestlemania is disappointing, to put it nicely.  The women's tag team championship wasn't needed for Banks and Belair to create some miscommunications between two opponents.  As far as the match itself, I thought it was aight.  Thanks to Banks and Belair's lack of communication, Baszler quickly pinned Banks to retain the tag belts (yay for the women's champion getting pinned).  After the match, Sasha Banks slapped Bianca Belair, calling the 2021 women's Royal Rumble match winner a "rookie".  At least the focus of the build ...

The 2021 edition of the Elimination Chamber show was fine for what it was.  The only good thing about this show was the opening match and the rest was filled with mid type of matches.  And of course, I’ve not seen the pre-show match which was a number one contender’s bout for the United States championship.  Images via WWE.com. Last spring, I wrote an article about how to critique pro wrestling better aka "a guide on how to improve wrestling criticism" . I got some positive takes on it but the question is, why did I produce the second edition?  Well, you have to thank the awful videos and articles that I, unfortunately, consumed but at least, I wrote down some notes that contained the number of bad critiques that I was passionately blasted down on.  Like I mentioned in last year's piece, I am just an average fan that doesn't claim to be an expert in any form of criticism because YouTube will definitely give you the "I'm right, you're wrong" type of content.  This is just a learning process for not only the viewers reading this but myself as we all are trying to get better.  Without further explanation, let's guide you  to a better critique in wrestling (at least I hope so) numbra dos.  #1. A PPV that is not needed yet last year's show ended up being the most popular PPV review on this site so……?  This is one of those shows where it isn't bad upon viewing it but didn't miss much if you haven't seen the whole thing if that makes sense?  I've not watched the pre-show matches so I can't give my thoughts on it.  Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak.  This match-up in concept is not worthy of PPV time but the execution? It says otherwise because that match was fantastic. I'll go as far as to say that it is one of my favourite matches in 2020 so far.   The first half of this match was nothing but submissions and it took them long enough to nail a punch. The show under the head of Paul Heyman as executive director but did it enhance the show in any way? In certain aspects but I can't really tell factually if it was Heyman or not. What I can tell is that this show was decent and I'm curious as to how WWE puts together in the go home show next week (man, time passes by so quick).  Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley. Falls Count Anywhere Match.  When it comes to those types of matches, you expect some brawling in the ring, outside the ring, in the stage area and a shoulder tackle onto the LED board (not typically but you get it).  That spot was so brutal that Corey Graves started to curse on a PG show. If they went a bit longer then I would've enjoyed this match a ton but overall it was decent.
