A PPV that is not needed yet last year's show ended up being the most popular PPV review on this site so……?

This is one of those shows where it isn't bad upon viewing it but didn't miss much if you haven't seen the whole thing if that makes sense?

I've not watched the pre-show matches so I can't give my thoughts on it.

Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak.

WWE Photo

This match-up in concept is not worthy of PPV time but the execution? It says otherwise because that match was fantastic. I'll go as far as to say that it is one of my favourite matches in 2020 so far.

The first half of this match was nothing but submissions and it took them long enough to nail a punch. As a technical wrestling geek, I certainly don't mind it.

Gulak delivered a quick but brutal suplex to Bryan. Daniel then hits a suplex of his own which was a dragon suplex. Drew Gulak nailed a suplex again that had Bryan land on his neck.

WWE Photo

Gulak did a top rope cutter of some sort that was immediately turned into a dragon suplex however, Daniel Bryan reversed the hold and locked in the rebel lock to win this match.

Is it the most exciting match? No, but I did enjoy it for how different it is to a typical opening match.

Kalya Braxton interviewed Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode and while they're talking about their win, in the monitor it had a bright circle that we've been seeing on Smackdown for weeks now (it could be Mustafa Ali given that he has a circle on his glove for his entrance so?).

Andrade vs Humberto Carrillo For The United States Championship.

WWE Photo

Why's the Intercontinental title got a makeover and not the US title? Just nitpicking but I would be lying if I wasn't bothered by it. Anywho, how was the match? It was aight.

Started off with a kick from Andrade to Humberto that led to an immediate pin but Sean Ross Sapp's favourite wrestler kicked out.

They eventually fought outside and even an almost hammerlock DDT attempt on the exposed concrete.

WWE Photo

Carrillo brought some excitement in this match with a disaster kick and an avalanche hurricanrana. After both guys did a series of quick pins, Andrade out did Humberto with a pin using the tights.

Don't be surprised if a multi-man match for the US title at Wrestlemania is scheduled between Rey Mysterio, Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza and Andrade.

AJ Styles is confident in an interview with Charly Caruso that he'll beat a very lonely Aleister Black.

John Morrison And The Miz vs The Usos vs The New Day vs Lucha House Party vs Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship Inside The Elimination Chamber.

WWE Photo

The Usos and The New Day started this Elimination Chamber match and both Big E and Kofi tried to hit a double electric chair drop into a clothesline but one of The Usos got out of it.

Lucha House Party were next to get out of the pod and Metalik did a senton on both New Day members from the top of the pod.

The clock counted to 10 and it was now the current tag team champions' turn. Gran Metalik delivered a highlight once again with that hurricanrana from the top of the pod (Morrison sold it like the champ he is).

WWE Photo

Heavy Machinery's pod was unlocked because it's their turn duh. Heavy Machinery put everybody in this match down for a while until every person in this match ganged up on Heavy Machinery.

Lince Dorado then pulled out a John Morrison from 2011 with a crossbody under the Chamber roof. Heavy Machinery nailed the first elimination of the night with the compactor on Gran Metalik.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode were the last people to enter the match and Otis somehow successfully fight Ziggler and Roode by himself.

WWE Photo
Buuuuut, Otis wanted to run through the pod on Ziggler but the show-off got out of it and Otis instead ran through the pod, out of the cage.

If I'm not mistaken, that spot never happened in the history of that structure. Roode got rid of Heavy Machinery officially with the glorious DDT but The New Day quickly eliminates Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Kofi missed a splash and The Miz pinned him to eliminate The New Day.

A pretty good back and forth between The Usos, Morrison and The Miz later and the champs did a double pin move on Jey Uso to retain the championship. Not the best Elimination Chamber I've seen but it was fun though I must say.

Aleister Black vs AJ Styles In A No DQ Match.

WWE Photo

A match I was looking forward to and it was solid. Styles sends Black on the german announcers. AJ then tried to deliver a suplex on the table that was set up near the ring but Black reversed it and delivered the double knee through the table.

WWE Photo

All the members of The O.C were relentlessly beating up Aleister Black but the gong sound hits and The Undertaker nailed the chokeslam on all O.C members which led to a black mass to the phenomenal one and Black stood tall as the winner. I don't know where this leads but I hope it's intriguing.

The Street Profits vs Seth Rollins *coughed once* The Monday Night Messiah vs Murphy For The RAW Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo

This match opened like a typical match. Rest holds, arm drags you know the thing. AOP were beating up Montez Ford without the ref's witness and thanks to The Viking Raiders showing up, the tag team championship match is now even.

Angelo Dawkins made a huge comeback with clotheslines and splashes on the corners to Rollins and Murphy.

The Street Profits prepared themselves with a double superplex to Murphy and Seth carried both men that turned into a powerbomb superplex move.

WWE Photo

Kevin Owens came out from the crowd area and he threw pieces of popcorn on Seth Rollins outside and Dawkins pushed Rollins on the barricade hard.

Montez Ford delivered the frog splash on Murphy to keep the gold. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Kevin Owens nailed the stunner on Seth Rollins. A decent match for what it was.

Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura And Cesaro For The Intercontinental Championship.

WWE Photo
Why does Zayn look like Sam Roberts from the distance?

I didn't know that great liberators rock a terrible outfit as well as a hair that's desperate for a haircut. Shinsuke Nakamura's attire, however, is the exact opposite. Cesaro? At least better than Sami.

The heels win with a suplex into a helluva kick and Sami pins the big man to capture his first singles title in the main roster.

I love the fact that Braun was shouting on Zayn saying that he'll get this son of a b*tch even though he's on the stage area like Strowman, beat up the guy. He's right in front of you.

I have no idea why Strowman won the championship in the first place but whatever. A skippable yet pretty bad match if you ask me.

Asuka vs Sarah Logan vs Natalya vs Liv Morgan vs Ruby Riott vs Shayna Baszler Inside The Elimination Chamber. Winner Gets To Face The RAW Women's Champion At Wrestlemania.

WWE Photo

Natalya and Ruby kicked off this match and the queen of hearts applied the sharpshooter immediately but Ruby got out of it with a mini hurricanrana on the pod glass.

Speaking of that glass, Sarah Logan was next and she immediately attacked Natalya on the glass pod. Logan then delivered a crossbody on both Natalya and Ruby Riott from the top of the pod.

WWE Photo

It was now Shayna Baszler's turn and Baszler came out of the pod dominant with two eliminations with the kirifuda clutch on both Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan.

Shayna Baszler nailed the 3rd elimination in Natalya after a series of attacks on Natalya with the pod door.

WWE Photo

Liv Morgan's pod door was unlocked which means it's her turn and Shayna Baszler viciously attacked Morgan and Shayna delivered another elimination with the kirifuda clutch on Liv Morgan.

Asuka was the last person to leave the pod and two former NXT champions brawled. Asuka applied the Asuka lock on Shayna Baszler but Baszler got out of it.

WWE Photo

That transitioned into a kirifuda clutch and Asuka was knocked out, leading to a win from Shayna Baszler and will face Becky Lynch for the RAW women's championship at Wrestlemania.

While the match was meh, I did like the fact that WWE portrayed Shayna Baszler as a destroyer. In other words, this match should've not happened.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Daniel Bryan vs Drew Gulak, Smackdown tag team championship, Shayna Baszler booked like a beast in the women's Elimination Chamber match.

Didn't like: Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura And Cesaro.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
