  The leaf isn't looking too green for NXT as reports emerge that the brand is going back to filming episodes and apparently, the USA network ain't too happy with the decision. If that doesn't scream, "I'm kinda screwed" I don't know what is.  Now, Last week's episode was probably the worst NXT episode in recent memory? The question is, did the ties change this week? Not really.  It wasn't bad but at the same time, it wasn't noteworthy either (besides one particular moment). Dragonov won here (thank the lords) with an uppercut to which he calls out Walter (bro, you just wrestled a brutal match and the last thing you want is a beating. I've been enjoying NXT for the most part since the show moved its date to Tuesdays.  But, with the mass release that happened this past Saturday, the way Karrion Kross' has been written (can't forget about Dakota Kai losing to Aliyah on Main Event) and how mediocre last week's episode of NXT was, the yellow brand is getting the opposite of the word "momentum".  And this episode kinda proved my point. This is, by far, one of my least favourite episodes of NXT in recent memory. Images via WWE.com   Sarray vs Dakota Kai.  Not a fan of Sarray losing here. Should've had someone else take the pin instead but to be fair, the NXT roster was thanosed. After Kai's win, Raquel Gonzalez showed up and warned the number one contender that she'll tear Dakota apart. Like I said in my previous NXT review, they should've done the "friendly exhibition" route instead of the sudden turn from Dakota.  This rivalry almost feels like I've seen them wrest...

NXT this week was a good show. It's just that it isn't as good as the previous ones.  Images via WWE.com Samoa Joe Requested 3 Things From William Regal.  In this segment, Samoa Joe was like, "Regal, sign these 3 contracts. One, I leave NXT management. Two, I join the NXT roster once again and three, I face Karrion Kross for the NXT championship at NXT Takeover: 36".  And the GM replied with a, "fine". I mean, this is an outcome that pretty much everyone saw coming and I'm fine with it.  Joe coming back to the squared circle is probably the most intriguing part about this whole thing.  In other words, Karrion Kross is getting a demotion in officially joining the main roster after Takeover: 36. Tommaso Ciampa And Timothy Thatcher vs Pete Dunne And Oney Lorcan.  A fine match for what it was. The bad guys picked up the clean victory to which the returning Ridge Holland showed up and literally took out both Ciampa and Thatcher with a shoulder tackle like it...

How about the L that magician jujitsu master took last night, am I right?  Oh wait, that wasn't even mentioned other than his appearance on RAW and not the ending?  Can't say that I blame NXT for that.  This episode is really good, which is usual with the yellow brand.  Images via WWE.com Samoa Joe Calls Out Karrion Kross.  NXT is starting off hot, people!  Now, this is how the segment went. Samoa Joe was like, "I want to beat the crap out of Karrion Kross" to which NXT gm Willie Man said, "Uh, no. You're not allowed to do so because Kross attacked Samoa Joe the referee and not Joe the NXT management".  After that statement from Regal,  Joe replied, "Nah. I'll find that piece of sh*te himself".  Towards the end of the show, Samoa Joe came back to the ring and called out the NXT champion.  Karrion Kross did respond via the titantron and proceeded to show a down and out Steve Regal.  Joe tried to chase the champ but Kross quickly got ...

I was supposed to post this review yesterday but because I forgot to even do that (thanks laziness), the NXT review wasn't on its usual Wednesday.  It's pretty odd to publish a review the day of AEW Dynamite (a good show, by the way) but whatever (don't worry my 2 viewers, the AEW Dynamite reviews will be back).  As far as how I feel about this show, the episode wasn't as great as the previous weeks but it was as a whole, a passable piece of programming.  Images via WWE.com Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai.  Both women showcased their version of "team kick" by literally kicking the crap out of each other.  The word "Intensity" comes to mind after seeing this match.  Kai is victorious with the go-to kick which is one of my favourite wrestling moves right now.  Post-match saw Xia Li setting her eyes on Raquel Gonzalez's women's championship and Gonzalez was on board with the title match.  A random scene out of a WWE 2K universe mode but I don't hat...

Does NXT continue to be the best weekly episodic wrestling show out right now?? Yes.  Images via WWE.com   Shotzi Blackheart And Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai And Raquel Gonzalez vs Io Shirai And Zoey Stark. Winner Gets An NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Opportunity.  This multi-person screams the sentence, "quick-paced chaos". This match didn't have a dull moment and that's what differs from the rest of the program that features multi-person tag team matches, ya know what I mean?  Io Shirai's beautiful moonsault on Dakota Kai, led her partner Zoey Stark to victory along with a championship opportunity which should be a fun bout.  Johnny Gargano attacked Karrion Kross from behind. Later in the episode, Kross called out Gargano inside the CWC. The champ was sidelined with an attack once again by The Way's Austin Theory and it was followed by a brawl.  Don't mind the idea of this feud because I know for a fact that they'll pull off a very enjoyable matc...

You know a wrestling TV episode is good when it feels short. My mind after watching this episode was like, "Wow, wow, wow".  With the back to back enjoyable episodes of NXT, the "NXT of old" might be back beside the dull crowd, of course.  Images via WWE.com Johnny Gargano Says That NXT Needs A New Face.  Gargano called out the current NXT champion, Karrion Kross and stated that he has out-wrestled the big man.  Pete Dunne showed up and disagreed with Gargano's arrogant words. Later in the night, Pete Dunne teamed up with Oney Lorcan to face The Way's Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory.  Now, the match was an example of fast-paced action that some people in the community that shall not be named will definitely look at this match and say, "what a bunch of vanilla midgets, bro".  Gargano got a clean as glass finish with the one final beat to Lorcan.  It was a great way to protect Dunne while also further legitimizing Gargano's argument as to why he...
