I've been enjoying NXT for the most part since the show moved its date to Tuesdays.
But, with the mass release that happened this past Saturday, the way Karrion Kross' has been written (can't forget about Dakota Kai losing to Aliyah on Main Event) and how mediocre last week's episode of NXT was, the yellow brand is getting the opposite of the word "momentum".
And this episode kinda proved my point. This is, by far, one of my least favourite episodes of NXT in recent memory.

Sarray vs Dakota Kai.
Not a fan of Sarray losing here. Should've had someone else take the pin instead but to be fair, the NXT roster was thanosed.
After Kai's win, Raquel Gonzalez showed up and warned the number one contender that she'll tear Dakota apart. Like I said in my previous NXT review, they should've done the "friendly exhibition" route instead of the sudden turn from Dakota.
This rivalry almost feels like I've seen them wrestle way too many times before which explains how generic this storyline is. I'm sure both women will deliver a solid match at Takeover: 36.
In a promo filmed inside of a truck of some sort, Hit Row let Legado De La Fantasma know that they shouldn't mess with the culture. A decent promo is all I'll say.
Pete Dunne Interrupted Ilja Dragonov.
Ilja was talking about his upcoming second encounter with Walter at Takeover (which I cannot wait) until his speech was interrupted by "what m8" Peter Dune himself.
Dune reminded Dragonov that he put NXT UK on the map to which Dragonov challenged him to a match on this very episode and he accepted it.
The match itself was solid but that ending was one confusing booking decision. The number one contender for the UK title lost in the middle of the ring just like that.
Walter failed his sneak attack as he was thrown out of the ring by Ilja.
NXT pulled a Monday Night RAW with that finish.
That ending might signal the possible title victory for Ija so that he has a first challenger for the title?
Either way, it was a head-scratching moment right there.
LA Knight wasn't a fan of Ted Dibiase giving false hope to Cameron Grimes so Knight challenged Grimes to match once again with the stipulation that if Grimes loses then Ted Dibiase will be LA Knight's butler.
So, is Grimes going to be a free man or not if Knight wins again?
WWE always stretches their storylines way too thin but this one should've been the exception.
In other words, the announcement of the rubber match was way too quick. It's barely been a month, guys. Let it stretch out!
Amari Miller vs Gigi Dolin.
Gigi Dolin wins with an impressive looking signature move that I haven't seen before.
Msk isn't too intimated with Imperium's words regarding their chase to the NXT tag team gold. Meh.
Odyssey Jones advances to the NXT breakout tournament by defeating Trey Baxter.
Meanwhile, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae ruined Indi Hartwell's date with Dexter Lumis (f**king a**holes).
That segment rendered the Gargano and Lumis match last week absolutely meaningless if you ask me.
And Boa defeated the former 205 GM, Drake Maverick. Cool.
Kyle O'Reilly And Adam Cole Picked Their Stipulation For Their 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match.
2 out of 3 falls. How 2019 of you, NXT!
Kyle O'Reilly picked a normal singles bout as the first fall because he thought that Adam Cole losing to a straight-up match would shatter Cole's ego.
The former NXT champion, however, picked a street fight and he'll make sure that O'Reilly is defeated 2 to 0.
That led to a brawl between both guys because of course, they did. Oh, and the third fall will take place in a salad steel cage.
Don't have many thoughts on this segment other than the fact it wasn't offensive to me.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.
Like: Ilja Dragonov vs Pete Dunne (the match itself).
Didn't like: The ending of the Ilja Dragonov and Pete Dunne match, the Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez rivalry, the Cameron Grimes and LA Knight rubber was announced quickly, the Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis dating segment rendered the "love her, lose her" match meaningless.
