WWE Smackdown 24/4/20 | A Coherent Review.

This week's Smackdown show was decent but it wasn't as strong as the previous weeks and *hits his head a few times* here's why.  The New Day Celebrates Their Title Victory. The show kicked off with the now 8th time WWE tag team champions, The New Day and like the title above, they were celebrating their big title win last week (No sh*t, Omar).  During the segment, Kofi mentioned that there's nothing wrong with pointing out that they have more title reigns than The Hart Foundation, Edge and Christian, Demolition, The New Age Outlaws etc because it's them being proud of their accomplishments.  Out came Lucha House Party, The Miz and John Morrison and they pretty much said that they deserve a title shot. The Forgotten Sons showed up to tell The New Day, Lucha House Party and every other tag team watching that they will never be forgotten.  They lived up to that statement as the Forgotten Sons destroyed Lucha House Party and The New Day.  ...

WWE Smackdown 17/4/20 | A Coherent Review.

Ever since the build towards Wrestlemania 36, Smackdown got better with their stories and this episode proves that opinion to be true.  This year's Money In The Bank ladder matches are going to be different, to say the least. It's taking place in WWE's main headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut where the main objective of the match is to grab the briefcase all the way up on the roof of the main headquarters which was apparently filmed. This could either be the greatest thing of all time or the worst.  I will give them credit, it is something different. They're definitely taking a risk with not pursuing the traditional Money In The Bank formula that we're used to seeing and honestly, I appreciate that.  Also, rest easy Howard Finkel. Definitely the GOAT of ring announcing.  The Moment Of Bliss. Special Guest, Braun Strowman.  The man that just pulled out a "you being poor is your fault" speech, Braun Strowman complimented the hosts for winning...

WWE Smackdown 3/4/20 | A Coherent Review.

I made fun of the blue brand for months on end for being the current face of the word "mediocrity" but as of late, Smackdown has been doing an excellent job on building tomorrow's most anticipated show, Wrestlemania. Awesome job, Smackdown.  Miz TV. Special Guest, The Usos? The Usos showed up before the host did to state their reasons why they'll climb the ladder and win the SmackDown tag team championship.  The New Day disagreed as they believed that they will capture the tag team championship of the world to which Usos and New Day teased a brawl between each other.  The Miz and John Morrison basically were baffled at the idea that they might lose the belts which led to a bit of shenanigans between all three teams.  Not the best way to produce the final segment before the upcoming tag team title match but it wasn't offensive so there's that.  Naomi vs Tamina vs Lacey Evans.  After Tamina takes the W with a superkick on Na...

WWE Smackdown 27/3/20 | My Coherent Review.

via WWE A good episode of Friday night Smackdown that did a good job on furthering the storylines from the blue brand side of things for Wrestlemania.  Look, I've expressed my displeasure for Smackdown whether it's a series of lame jokes of mine or just stating the reason why for months.  However, I feel like Smackdown has improved with baby steps as of late. Maybe that's due to Wrestlemania being right around the corner but whatever the creative team is doing, they should do it more.  Bayley And Sasha Address The SmackDown Women's Championship Match At Wrestlemania.  The SmackDown women's champion, Bayley and Sasha Banks talked about how their road to Wrestlemania is a nightmare as they're facing each other among other opponents they have to deal with.   Out came Lacey Evans then Naomi and they basically said that they'll become Smackdown women's champion.  Tamina showed up and she said that action speaks louder than words...

WWE Smackdown 28/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

A surprisingly noteworthy episode of Smackdown and that is not the norm for the blue brand.  The question is, was it good? Nah. This is a show that only delivers 3 to 6 out of 10s and this week, it was a 6.  At least it wasn't a train wreck like Super showdown which you can click here to read my whole thoughts on the show.  Goldberg Starts Off Smackdown As The Universal Champion.  The intro for this week's show was sacrificed by a 54-year-old Goldberg who by the way, is one of WWE's top champions (I can't believe I actually said that in two thousand and twenty). Goldberg said that there's always who's next after he was booed outta the building.  That next is Roman Reigns who grabbed the mic and told Goldberg that he's next. First off, thank God that Reigns moved on from that awful feud.  Secondly, Boston doesn't like Goldberg which is understandable given that awful ending on Thursday. This was a good segment. It was quick...
