WWE Smackdown 17/4/20 | A Coherent Review.

Ever since the build towards Wrestlemania 36, Smackdown got better with their stories and this episode proves that opinion to be true.

This year's Money In The Bank ladder matches are going to be different, to say the least. It's taking place in WWE's main headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut where the main objective of the match is to grab the briefcase all the way up on the roof of the main headquarters which was apparently filmed. This could either be the greatest thing of all time or the worst.

I will give them credit, it is something different. They're definitely taking a risk with not pursuing the traditional Money In The Bank formula that we're used to seeing and honestly, I appreciate that. Also, rest easy Howard Finkel. Definitely the GOAT of ring announcing.

The Moment Of Bliss. Special Guest, Braun Strowman.

WWE Photo

The man that just pulled out a "you being poor is your fault" speech, Braun Strowman complimented the hosts for winning the tag team champions.

Bliss asked him about Bray Wyatt and Braun said that Wyatt will get these hands. The current universal champion then saw a present that he thought it was from Alexa Bliss but of course, it wasn't.

Braun opens the present and inside the present was a black sheep mask obviously a call back to his days with Bray Wyatt as a unit.

I've been waiting to see those two guys interact for years now and I'm glad it's happening.

Their history writes the story itself. By the way, Bray is facing Braun, not as The Fiend but rather his Firefly funhouse character. Bray hasn't wrestled as his Mr Rodger side since his match with The Miz (No sh*t, Omar).

Tamina vs Sasha Banks.

WWE Photo

Surprisingly, this encounter was good. Thanks to Lacey Evans putting Bayley down with a forearm from the steel steps, Tamina strikes not one but two superkicks on Sasha to win this match.

Evans in an interview with Charly Caruso said that she's eyeing on her target which is revealed as Sasha Banks. Cool.

Sheamus vs Denzel Dejournette.

WWE Photo

A squash match from Sheamus which is honestly getting tiresome but hopefully, he's going to be part of an interesting feud. Oh, and he was mad at Micheal Cole for talking about Jeff Hardy instead of himself. I'm sure all the people that hate Micheal Cole loved that spot.

Naomi vs Dana Brooke. Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

WWE Photo

Dana Brooke actually picks up the big W for the first time in years with a roll-up and I'm happy for her.

Whenever I watch Brooke in a match or a segment, she looks as if she wants to bring something different that the fans will enjoy like that moonsault on RAW last year I believe so I’m interested as to what she does in the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Mandy Rose Has Some Words With Sonya Deville.

WWE Photo

Sonya Deville showed up and called out Mandy with tears in her eyes. Sonya got her wish as Rose tried to explain herself but Sonya Deville tells her former bestie that Mandy is a selfish person who would rather hang out with a guy like Otis then actually focus on being a tag team.

WWE Photo

Ziggler rushed to the ring and told Mandy that what they had as an item was real and didn't want to screw Mandy. Deville knocked Mandy out with the right hand and out came Otis to the rescue.

I guess the story continues. Deville was by far, the highlight of this segment and she alone makes me want to see how this unfolds.

Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro. Men's Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

WWE Photo

During the match, a video was played with highlights of various tag teams like the New Day, Miz and Morrison (hey, hey. Hoo, hoo), Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. The video ended saying, "the truth will be heard".

Is that person eyeing for the tag team division? Should be interesting but back to the qualifying match. Cesaro nailed Bryan with a vicious uppercut on the outside.

Another thing that was vicious to look at was when Bryan delivered the roundhouse kick. The match concluded with a yes lock and Cesaro tapped out. A fine match.

Meanwhile, backstage, Elias was supposed to air his signature concert but King Corbin attacked him really bad. Damn Corbin, you brutalized Elias as if he made fun of your mom or something.

Big E vs Jey Uso vs The Miz For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo

Not as great as the other singles triple threat match for the titles at Wrestlemania but this was aight. Miz and Jey Uso took out Big E for a while with a double suplex through the announce table but that wasn't enough because Big E led his team to an 8th-time tag team title win. Meh.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, Tamina vs Sasha Banks, Bryan vs Cesaro, Sonya Deville promo.

Didn't like: Nitpicking but wished that Sheamus would be part of a storyline again (could happen though).

Be in the lookout for The 5 News Week tomorrow given that it's a different edition then you're used to seeing.

WWE RAW 9/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...
