NXT this week wasn't as bad as last week. It was still kinda average overall but I didn't have a sense of boredom throughout the show.  Images via WWE.com   Kay Lee Ray vs Dakota Kai In A War Games Advantage Ladder Match.  Aka the *Scottish accent* Glasgae vs The kiwi in a solid opening match.  Kay Lee Ray climbed up and grabbed the briefcase to win the War Games advantage.  If I was taking part in the match, I'm hoping the war games advantage contract included me not wrestling and standing there like a battle royal match or something.  Cameron Grimes vs Andre Chase.  This match and what happened after it was meh.  After Grimes' defeat over Andre, Duke Hudson showed Grimes the bald version of the North Carolina native and like all people with hair that isn't receding, it pissed Grimes off.  Msk finally met the shaman at least that's what I've concluded based on the smoke coming out of the room and the bright a** light.  Do I care about t...

NXT and AEW are going head to head once again…………. In a recap that averages the same as NXT's in the sense that the numbers are low and nobody really gives a sh*t.  But, it was just an excuse to briefly note about NXT and AEW Dynamite since I haven't seen AEW Rampage as of writing this.  And well, Dynamite was by far the better show out of the two.  NXT has become a hit or miss show ever since its relaunch a few months ago which hasn't been this way even as recently as this past April.  NXT   Highlights.  Cameron Grimes Goes Off About Duke Hudson.  The promo pretty much sounded like this, "I may be a rich Redneck from bumf**k town in the South but I never forgot where I came from."  All lame jokes aside, this was by far, the best thing about this episode and it hints at a potential big babyface character in the future (that is if WWE can do it properly) because his entire dialogue showed his humbleness as someone who understood what it's like...

I haven't reviewed NXT in two weeks and holy crap, I didn't miss much at all.  This week's show was BO. RING and I'm trying to make this interesting by adding my lame a** humour and you know you f'd up when I have to rely on my jokes to make this week's NXT discussion somewhat engaging.  Images via WWE.com   Tony D'Angelo vs Dexter Lumis.  The scary white man vs The spicy white man. WHO WILL SURVIVE!?  The answer is my favourite POC wrestler currently, Tony D'Angelo (that joke will never get old).  Johnny Gargano came to check on Dexter Lumis after Camelo Hayes and Trick Williams destroyed Lumis' hand.  Minutes later, all three guys in Dunne, Gargano and Hayes announced a triple threat match for the North American championship.  Should be a good match, is all I'm going to say about that.  Odyssey Jones And Jacket Time vs The Diamond Mine.  First off, Jacket time isn't a good tag team name. The 2021 edition of NXT's Halloween Havoc event didn't live up to last year's show which is why the show felt like an episode of Smackdown back in 2013/2014 with Halloween decorations. This ain't a Halloween Havoc show without the presence of Chucky (aka Chunky if you're grammarly.com) and pretty much, he just gave the rundown for the show's match card.  Images via WWE.com Toxic Attraction vs Io Shirai And Zoey Stark vs Persia Pirotta And Indi Hartwell For The NXT Women's Tag Team Championship In A Ladder Match.   An enjoyable opening match although Io Shirai took a nasty fall on the ladder that was set up between the announce table and the ring. Hoping she's fine and well.  NXT continues to build the so-called "momentum" for the Toxic Attraction as Gigi Dolin climbed up the ladder to win the tag belts for the very first time.  I mean, considering the division has no tag teams, why not give them the belts besides Zoey Stark and Io Shirai are be...

  NXT: Mid 2000s watermark edition was a solid 2 hours of wrestling this week although the program is showing main rosterisms in its worst of ways sometimes.  Still getting used to seeing the overall presentation due to the fact that, as mentioned previously, the stage reminds me of Wrestlemania 27 and for that, I'll be a picky POS and put it in my "don't like" section of the review.  Also, what in Joe Pesci's universe was Parker's new look? "Toxic Attraction" is a great podcast name for podcasts starring white dudes that rant about WWE given how they basically hate-watching something that they're a fan of.  Mandy Rose was honestly the highlight of the match. She stood toe to toe with a great performer like Ember Moon.  Rose defeated Ember with an impressive looking kick.  While I'm not the biggest mark for this new stable, I will give Mandy Rose ...

NXT 2.0 or as I like to call it, NXT "I'M DIFFERENT" edition.  Let's get the positives out of the way. I like the set and the way it compliments NXT's new water multicolour look. In a world with main roster WWE and its giant screen, the presentation definitely stood out.  The entrance stage set also gave me a bit of a Wrestlemania 27 vibes and because of it, I'm always going to remind myself of that dogsh*t of a PPV so that's definitely a negative.  The main question is, Was the inaugural episode of NXT "third times the charm" edition any good?  Yes. Rose "had a broken face" and was escorted to the backstage area while the ref counted to 10.  As a result, Sarray won the match via a count-out. I wouldn't mind a rematch between those two women.  Kyle O'Reilly vs Duke Hudson.  Call me shocked but I never knew before last week or so that Duke is an Aussie. I assumed that he's a Floridian or something (did you just assume that all tanned white dudes are from Florida? That's problematic, Omar!).  Hudson tapped out of the kneebar from Kyle O'Reilly.  The next few weeks should be eye-opening given the NXT as we know it, might be dead after those taped episodes.  Depending on how NXT going forward is being presented, I may end my run of reviewing the yellow brand.  Will see what happens but for now, the question is, how was NXT this week?  I thought it was decent but it didn't blow me away either.  Images via WWE.com Cameron Grimes Celebrates His Million Dollar Championship Victory.  The title above pretty much described the gist of the opening act other than some cash was thrown around the CWC that has Grimes' face on it.  The true babyface move is to give out some actual 100 dollar bills but y'all know that WWE can't write babyfaces properly.  Overall, this was fine for what it was.  Ridge Holland vs Timothy Thatcher.  A short but solid encounter.   The leaf isn't looking too green for NXT as reports emerge that the brand is going back to filming episodes and apparently, the USA network ain't too happy with the decision. If that doesn't scream, "I'm kinda screwed" I don't know what is.  Now, Last week's episode was probably the worst NXT episode in recent memory? The question is, did the ties change this week? Not really.  It wasn't bad but at the same time, it wasn't noteworthy either (besides one particular moment).
