I know it's something you've heard a gazillion times but it's true.  We are on the road to Wrestlemania which is f'ing crazy to think about.  While this year's Royal Rumble PPV had its moments, the show as a whole was just fine.  By the way, the show was almost 4 hours but it felt like 2.  As usual, I can't talk about the women's tag team title match at the pre-show simply because I've not seen it.  Images via WWE.com Drew McIntyre vs Goldberg For The WWE Championship.  When Goldberg hits the jackhammer, I almost had a heart attack but thank God the Scotsmen kicked out.   Oh, and Drew McIntyre won the match in a meh opening match that was shorter than the Immortals Fenix Rising demo (the most specific reference I've ever made).  They showed some respect after the match.  At least Drew McIntyre won, right?  Sasha Banks vs Carmella For The SmackDown Women's Championship.  Carmella almost killed herself with that sick looking suic...

If this was a match between AEW Dynamite and NXT, it ended with a squash.  Because AEW Dynamite DESTROYED NXT this week with an absolutely fantastic episode.  That is not to say that NXT was a terrible show. It was not. But, comparing it to AEW Dynamite, it has no competition.  some pictures via wwe.com NXT   Highlights. Legado De La Fantasma vs Isiah Swerve Scott, Ashanti Adonis And Jake Atlas.  This entire bout was very impressive. I swear to God, Isiah Swerve Scott is so f'ing good. Give the guy ALL the titles if you have to.  Joaquin Wilde did a dive and Atlas turned it into a Spanish fly that made both men land onto all the participants in the match.  The encounter ended with of course a win from Legado De La Fantasma.  Killian Dain Loves The Mean Streak From Drake Maverick.  The odd duo got to face Ever-Rise again but the match ended via a DQ because Drake used the chair to hit on both members of Ever-Rise.  Like what the titl...

For the second week in a row, All Elite Wrestling has knocked it out of the park in their premier pro wrestling show while NXT is cooling off the steam creatively that is Takeover: Portland. Hopefully, the yellow brand picks back up next week.  NXT       Highlights.  Broserweights vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch.  That dialogue when Riddle said that they partied so hard in Portland that Pete Dunne failed the wellness policy was hilarious. The champions are immediately getting back to work after that great performance this past Sunday.  Also, this is the return of Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan so it's great to see those guys. The champions are still strong thanks to that knee strike from Riddle to win this match. Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 News Week where I usually report on the 5 major or minor news of the week but I'm not doing that here if you can't tell from the graphic I made (you're welcome, by the way).  But Rather, all throughout December, I'm going to look back at some of the news that came out in 2019. Without further ado, here are the 5 News Week Look Back.  Bianca Belair And Sam Roberts' "Beef" With Each Other.  We are kicking this off with an opinion that made a lot of people angry.
