NXT Takeover: 31 was a step up from the disappointment that was Takeover: 30.  By the way, the set from the now called Capital Wrestling Centre is clean. The lighting was especially on point.  pictures via wwe.com Damian Priest vs Johnny Gargano For The North American Championship.  During the match, Gargano pulled Damian's arm that had the big man land on the outside floor.  That led to Gargano pushing Priest onto the steel steps. In other words, Johnny has been targeting Damian's arm throughout the match  (No f'ing sh*t, Omar).  Priest then delivered the Razor's edge to Gargano on the ring apron (rip Johnny's back).  After he reversed the one final beat from Gargano, Priest nailed the reckoning to retain the North American title.  Not the most mind-blowing opener of all time but it was a decent match.  Kushida vs *ugh* Velveteen Dream.  Velveteen Dream dressed as Dr Emmett Brown because GET IT? NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  And yes, It is a bit too early than the usual time that I post but I got things to do so why not, right? Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. A Brand New NXT Championship Is Coming!?  This past week's episode of NXT saw Keith Lee winning the NXT title, ending Adam Cole's 403-day reign as NXT champion in the process.  And now, Lee is a double champ and according to Belt Fan Dan (a reliable piece of news when it comes to wrestling title belts), he pretty much said that the NXT Championship will be bigger but with the same design.  It kinda fits especially for a guy like Keith Lee based on my imagination regarding how the title will eventually look like. NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. " This is a Takeover show so expect not to be disappointed" is something Triple H would tell everybody backstage before the show airs which would be surprising if he doesn't say something along those lines.  This is not a huge surprise when NXT always delivers their Takeover shows every single time on the WWE Network and the Portland, Oregon's edition of the fan acclaimed Takeover special is no exception.  Keith Lee vs Dominic Djakovic For NXT The North American Championship.  During the match, Lee catches Djakovic after he did a corkscrew moonsault (F'ing awesome spot).
