AEW Full Gear 2021 | A Coherent Review.

Apologies to my 4 viewers that this review is shorter than the last time I did an AEW PPV review which was Revolution (big f**king yikes, Omar. Fake wrestling fan).  It's just that TK is killing me with the 4 hour long PPVs but at this point, my complaints on how long the show would last are getting old so let's get into how this show ABSOLUTELY F'ING RULED LIKE A MONARCH! (For the most part because nothing is perfect).  MJF vs Darby Allin.  While I believe MJF's character is a walking dummies article on how to be a heel, the guy can wrestle his a** off as seen by the opening contest with Darby Allin.  MJF made my favourite wrestling bruf William Regal proud due to the fact that he used the brass knuckles to win the match.  Where does Maxwell go from here? I can't believe I'm saying this but I could see him wrestling Sting and the worst part about this statement is that I wouldn't mind it. 2019 me would've slapped the sh*t out of 2021 me.  The Lucha Brot...

AEW Full Gear 2020 | A Coherent Review.

While Full Gear was a big improvement compared to All Out, the pacing in their PPVs still needs a LOT of work.  I was yawning way too much in the 2nd hour even though I had a 9-hour sleep yesterday.   With a card like this, it doesn't need to be 4 hours.  Oh, and that Serena Deeb and Allysin Kay match on the pre-show was decent.  Kenny Omega vs Hangman Page. AEW World Championship Number One Contender's Tournament Finals.  Hangman Page doesn't have time to play "sportsmanship" as he's nailing Omega with some brutal elbow strikes throughout the first 10 or so minutes.  Speaking of brutal, Page delivered a devastating powerbomb on the stage ramp to Omega and then a sitout powerbomb in the ring to a near fall.  Unfortunately for Hangman, he was taken out with the one-winged angel from Kenny to win the entire tournament.  An enjoyable opener although it could've been just a tiny bit better but I'm nitpicking.  The elite brand will have an an...

AEW Full Gear 2019 | My Coherent Review.

There's an old saying of "one look is worth a thousand words". Well, this PPV held in Baltimore, Maryland is a great example of that proverb.  AEW once again has planned and executed a great show and that's all thanks to everybody that worked this PPV.  If this is your first time reading this then you'll definitely not know that I don't talk about the pre-show match not because I purposely avoid them but rather I always miss them for some reason and this show was no except.  The Young Bucks vs Santana And Ortiz.  The team from NYC locked in a double team submission (yea, you read that right) that included a camel clutch and a Boston crab. Nick Jackson then plants Santana with an elbow drop.  The Rock & Roll Express were on ringside and helped Matt Jackson go back to ring action and my goodness he did.  Matt delivered a northern lights suplex to Santana and Ortiz at the same time (the only appropriate time for a "this is ...
