WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

WWE Smackdown Draft Day Night 1 | A Coherent Review.

Itsssssss draft time and it kicked off on this episode on this week's episode of Smackdown (no f'ing sh*t, Omar).  Looking at the archives, I've not covered last year's Draft but I did cover the last ever Superstar Shakeup (and thank God it was the last).  So, how was the 2020 WWE draft night one?  There were some picks that I liked but there were a few that bothered me the most.  As a whole, Smackdown was a decent show.  pictures via WWE.com Round one.  RAW: Drew McIntyre.  Smackdown: Roman Reigns.  RAW: Asuka.  Smackdown: Seth Rollins.  RAW: The Hurt Business.  I like the picks. Seth Rollins moving to the blue brand is a nice new scenery because I am done with the Rollins/Mysterio family rivalry (check out the round 3 picks, Omar).  Big E vs Sheamus In A Falls Count Anywhere Match.  During the bout, Sheamus shoved Big E some flour and eggs in the catering area (it's gonna be a long day in the bathroom for the big man)....

WWE Smackdown 2/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

Yo, Smackdown this week flew by real quick.  It felt shorter than any NXT episode when it aired exclusively on the network.  That doesn't mean the episode was great. It was good though.  Pictures via wwe.com The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns Called For A Rematch With Jey Uso At Hell In A Cell.  The speaker for the Tribal chief, Paul Heyman, puts over Roman Reigns.  However, Reigns doesn't want Heyman to recognize him as the Tribal chief but rather he requested Jey Uso to acknowledge him instead.   Speaking of Jey Uso, he came out to tell his cousin that he showed his true colours.  Reigns played the victim saying that it was the worst night of his life and how he just wanted to help him.  The universal champion then gave Jey Uso the opportunity to face him at the Hell In A Cell.  What a way to kick off this program. The storyline is at its highest level right now.  By far, the best thing about Smackdown other than Alexa Bliss and her s...

WWE Smackdown 25/9/20 | A Coherent Review.

Sorry for missing The RAW Review and The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays. Long story short, I had to deal with family shenanigans.  But, you ain't here to read my apologies, do ya?   You're here for THE coherent review for the blue show and my overall thoughts?  It was decent. At least I wasn't bored watching and yawning throughout most of the show (I'm talking to you Monday Night RAW).  pictures via WWE.com AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy And Sami Zayn Face To Face Confrontation.  We're kicking this off with the Intercontinental championship side of things.  Pretty much, all three men state their case as to why they will walk out of Clash Of Champions as THE undisputed Intercontinental champion.  This ain't a face to face confrontation without a brawl, right? Zayn attacked both men with a ladder.  As a consequence of that action, Zayn will face Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles, making the opening match a triple threat bout.  AJ Styles vs Jeff Hardy vs Sami...

WWE Smackdown 18/9/20 | A Coherent Review.

Other than a few nitpicks, I thought the blue brand this week produced some decent programming and here's why.  Pictures via WWE.com The Dirt Sheet.  So, what's going on in the Dirt Sheet?  Well, they mostly talked about Mandy Rose's trade to Monday Nights and how Miz is trying to help Otis focus on cashing in the contract.  The big man had enough as he and his partner Tucker Knight laid waste on them.  Oh, and Miz was stripped down by Otis that had Miz exposed his "tighty whiteys".  We're starting this show with a feud that I don't give two sh*ts.  That ending especially was cheap lame humour.  "Haha, look at Miz wearing undergarments you know, like everybody else".  Cesaro vs Gran Metalik.  This was a decent match.  The rest of the Lucha House Party were kicked out of ringside by the referee.  A babyface team getting kicked out instead of a heel team? Well, that's rare.  Cesaro won the match clear as glass with the neutr...

WWE Smackdown 11/9/20 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown is decent this week.  But, I will say, they (Smackdown) have been by far the interesting show going into Clash Of Champions, unlike Monday Night RAW.  pictures via WWE.com Roman Reigns' Wrecking Everyone Is Paul Heyman's Spoiler (no sh*t, Omar). Heyman started the show saying that Roman Reigns accomplished his goal to not only beat up people but as well as taking the championship that Reigns never lost.  Heyman called out Jey Uso and Uso brought up the history between Jey's family and Paul Heyman.  The history he was referring to was the fact that Paul Heyman managed The Usos' father, Rikishi back when Rikishi was part of the Head Skrinkers aka The Samoan Swat Team.  King Corbin and Sheamus came out pretty much talking smack (see what just I did there?) about Jey Uso as number one contender.  Uce then challenged the bad guys to a tag team match against himself and the big dog later in the night.  T...
