WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.

Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.

There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."

The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.

The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.

Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.

Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.

You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.

Maybe I'm ignorant as to how popular he was?

The segment didn't do anything for me but I didn't hate it so.

Lars Sullivan vs Jeff Hardy.

Hardy was stunned that Lars got out of the twist of fate and Lars grabbed him to nail the freak accident and won the match.

Meh.

The New Day vs Sheamus, Cesaro And Shinsuke Nakamura.

Before the match, The New Day had a heartfelt promo about the 6 years as a trio which I enjoyed.

On the commentary desk, Corey Graves talked about the ring rust of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and yet, we just saw them take the blue belts away from Cesaro and Nakamura.

Huh? What ring rust? Anywho, the bout was decent. The New Day wins with the midnight hour.

Otis beats up Sami Zayn because of the way Zayn talked about him. Is the Otis lawsuit story with The Miz wrapped up or not?

Daniel Bryan's First In-Ring Promo Inside The Thunderdome.

Bryan cut an enthusiastic promo about how excited he is to work with guys like Kevin Owens and many new Smackdown stars.

Out came Seth Rollins and he asked Bryan whether he's going to be part of the right side of history or not.

Bryan criticized Rollins saying that his "leadership" isn't good.

Rollins responded with an attack on Bryan but the leader of the yes movement fought back.

Daniel got some back up in Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik. Murphy also helped the family by beating up Seth.

After Murphy showed his respect to Rey and Dominik, they left him hanging.

I thought I was going to see a fresh feud between Seth and Daniel Bryan but after the Mysterio family and Murphy showed up, I was like *major sigh*.

The Street Profits vs Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

The match didn't even start because a brawl happened.

I would be complaining about Ziggler and Roode getting a tag team title shot but WWE barely has tag teams on all 3 brands so….

Bayley vs Sasha Banks Hell In A Cell Contract Signing.

So, Sasha Banks did sign the contract but Bayley didn't. Why?

Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ba……… I mean, Smackdown.

I did like the promo Sasha cut about how she helped keep Bayley's championship throughout her run.

Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman For The Universal Championship.

Again, what is the use of giving a championship opportunity to a superstar from another brand if he or she is going to lose?

By the way, is that Keith Lee in the virtual crowd area?

As Strowman tried to pin Roman, the chief hit him right on the balls which the ref did not obviously see.

Despite that, Roman Reigns won the match with a submission.

Jey Uso slowly walked to ringside and Reigns warned him that the beating he gave to Braun Strowman will be the same to Jey at Hell In A Cell.

Reigns then gave Jey Uso the opportunity to hit him with a steel chair.

However, Jey didn't hit him with a chair but rather with a straight right hand and then a superkick and then a chair shot.

Roman got back up and nailed him with the superman punch and that's how the season premiere of Smackdown ended.

The emotion when Jey attacked Roman Reigns was *chef kiss*. I felt that not gonna lie.

Everything about this ending enhanced this storyline.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The New Day promo, Sasha Banks' promo in the contract signing, The ending.

Didn't like: The predictability surrounding the Universal championship match because a RAW guy faces a Smackdown guy for the blue belt, nitpicking but Corey Graves' commentary on the 6 man tag match.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
