AEW Dynamite got a sight new look. The question is, did it help in making the show better than NXT this week?  Nah. AEW Dynamite wasn't good in my opinion and so was NXT, for the most part. In other words, I pick neither show.  A few images via WWE.com NXT    Highlights. Santos Escobar vs Jake Atlas For The Cruiserweight Championship.   Holy crap, what a match.  Atlas showed some serious aggression in this bout.  Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to capture the cruiserweight due to a modified death valley driver of some sort from Santos Escobar.  Io Shirai And Rhea Ripley Prime Target.  This video promo was, to no one's surprise, fantastic.  Loved the connection NXT made between this feud, that triple threat match at NXT Takeover: In Your House and Rhea's big L against Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania.  The championship bout is happening next week and it should be a good encounter.  Some Other Things That Happened. The black and gold brand just made a come back this week thanks to their Halloween Havoc themed episode.  NXT delivered this morning (last night your time) with unique matches and moments that filled those 2 hours pretty well in my opinion.  (Shotzi Blackheart was an awesome host, by the way).  For that, I gotta go with NXT. AEW Dynamite, however, was okay.  Nothing too mind-blowing happened besides a great main event.  some images via WWE.com NXT    Highlights. Damian Priest vs Johnny Gargano For The North American Championship. Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal.  During Johnny Gargano's entrance, he destroyed the inflatable pumpkin on the entrance stage area. No heart and soul indeed. Johnny, you monster.  Thanks to the wheel, the match was a devil's playground match which is pretty much a falls count anywhere match.  Side note, loved the Sting inspired gear from Damian Priest. If this was a match between AEW Dynamite and NXT, it ended with a squash.  Because AEW Dynamite DESTROYED NXT this week with an absolutely fantastic episode.  That is not to say that NXT was a terrible show. It was not. But, comparing it to AEW Dynamite, it has no competition.  some pictures via wwe.com NXT   Highlights. Legado De La Fantasma vs Isiah Swerve Scott, Ashanti Adonis And Jake Atlas.  This entire bout was very impressive. I swear to God, Isiah Swerve Scott is so f'ing good. Give the guy ALL the titles if you have to.  Joaquin Wilde did a dive and Atlas turned it into a Spanish fly that made both men land onto all the participants in the match.  The encounter ended with of course a win from Legado De La Fantasma.  Killian Dain Loves The Mean Streak From Drake Maverick.  The odd duo got to face Ever-Rise again but the match ended via a DQ because Drake used the chair to hit on both members of Ever-Rise.  Like what the titl...
