WWE Hell In A Cell 2020 | A Coherent Review.

WWE is continuing the streak of shorter PPVs and as a guy that lives overseas, I don't mind WWE doing this even if the fans come back to arenas.   Also, The 2020 edition of Hell In A Cell had a decisive and conclusive ending. Hell In A Cell I Quit Match.  I gotta say.  It is so weird to hear boos that WWE adds in the background for Roman Reigns given the history they've had in altering actual boos from the crowd many years ago.  It is also weird for WWE to open this show with a match that main evented the previous PPV. The question is, was it worth it? Heck yeah, dude.  Both men hit each other's finishers not once but twice and it wasn't enough for Reigns and Jey Uso to quit.  At one point, the match was turned into a strap match of some sort because Roman and Jey tied themselves with that strap. WWE Wrestlemania: Backlash 2021 | A Coherent Review.

Wrestlemania: Backlash or as I like to call it, Backlashimania, gets an enthusiastic thumbs up for me. I enjoyed the hell out of this PPV overall.  Images via WWE.com The opening intro was narrated by the greatest of all time, Batista and it was straight badass despite the fact it was pretty much a promotion for Zack Snyder's new film, Army Of The Dead.  If you've read my about page, then you'll know that I ain't talking about Zack Snyder movies because his fans are…… never mind.  Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka For The RAW Women's Championship.  Charlotte with the Cruella De Vil inspired ring gear was to quote Dolph Ziggler's old theme song, "perfection". The opening bout was fast-paced, high octane action that didn't have a slow/dull moment.  All of these women utilized quick grapples and strikes to their advantage.  Charlotte was this close to capturing the title but she was pushed to the outside, nailed the riptide to Asuka and that...

The Obsession With Ratings. Warranted Or Not?

(Just a bit of a heads-up, this article contains a lot of the word "ratings").  Rating. Rating. Rating. It is a word that you see or hear many times throughout your wrestling fandom but why is that?  Well, it's interesting to see how your weekly consumption does by the numbers every week.  However, that conversation can turn the other way.  The toxic, " logic-filled" , gatekeeping way that is (you see why I muted the word "rating" on Twitter?).  Fans have been talking about TV ratings for years but that discussion has skyrocketed once AEW Dynamite and NXT airs on the same night every week ya know because wrestling fans am I right?  Before I answer the question of whether the obsession with TV ratings is warranted or not, I'll first have to briefly describe the Nielsen rating (which is an American TV rating system.
