WWE Smackdown Live 30/10/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live yesterday was a skippable show other than the opening segment and match in my opinion. Now usually on my RAW/Smackdown Live review, I break down what's good, what's ok and what's bad. For the first time, I'm only gonna tell you what's ok given that this show was again a skippable show and here we go.

WHAT'S OK

The opening segment

… but Bryan says there’s no need for apologies and acknowledges the respect he has for Styles.
This is the probably one of if not most noteworthy moment this week mainly because as you might know, there were reports going around that John Cena and Daniel Bryan were out of Crown Jewel and the reports are indeed true and it makes sense, especially for John Cena considering that he's an actor now and he needs to maintain his PR status. The segment itself was decent. Loved both guys' intensity and that segment leads to a WWE championship match and speaking of which.............

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles

Decent match. Expected a better from these two but again, decent nevertheless but it did have a great end sequence. Bryan did a triangle submission then Styles immediately carried Bryan and delivered a styles clash followed by a calf crusher and just like that, Styles retained the WWE championship.

After the match, Samoa Joe outta nowhere attacked AJ Styles and choked out not only AJ Styles but also Daniel Bryan with the kokina clutch. For some odd reason, I'm smelling a fatal four-way match for the WWE championship between Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and The Miz at some point.  Will see how the match between AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe for the WWE championship play out at Crown Jewel.

Trick Or Street Fight Between Cesaro and Big E

First off, hearing Gangrel's theme song playing on that show was great. The match itself was meh. Big E wins with the big ending.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs R Truth

Shinsuke Nakamura, where you at bro? Anyways, this was predictable but okay nevertheless. Nakamura wins here with the Kinshasa.

Becky Lynch promo

Lynch reminds everyone that she won, despite getting folded up like an accordion.
It was a basic promo. Nothing really memorable but I am looking forward to this match. who's the better champ in this? Will have to wait until Survivor Series.

Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio vs The Miz and Randy Orton

Another meh match. Not the best way to end SmackDown Live to be honest. The match ended with Rey delivered the 619 to Miz followed by a Swanton Bomb from Jeff and won. After the match,  Randy outta nowhere hit an RKO to Jeff and a great RKO to Rey from the top rope.

Well, that's all folks I hope you enjoyed my coherent review and if you did then follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions and comment below on what do you think about Smackdown Live last night? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

Wrestling With Whiteness | A Documentary Sorely Needed.

Here's the thing. My 2 viewers will know that I've been a wrestling fan for 15 plus years but what they do not know is that I've been a Somali (aka a Black Muslim person) my entire life so talking about this documentary is going to be a little more personal, to say the least.  And look, I know this is the part where I insert my usual wit and fart jokes but you're not gonna see less of that because this is a serious topic (and you know it's serious when I mentioned my ethnicity) about representation and the shared struggle across every single black performer featured in this documentary.  From the press release, Wrestling With Whiteness "focuses on sharing the stories of Black folx and their experience in the wrestling community. Using a combination of interviews with Black wrestlers and Black content creators, Wrestling With Whiteness uncovers the unique experiences of Black people in the industry and the rise of representation for performers and fans around th...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...
