WWE Smackdown 21/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another time Pat McAfee shows me why he's better than Corey Graves. Both in the ring AND on the commentary table.

As far as how I feel about this week's episode, it ain't good, people. It ain't good.

Sethy Mane Wanted A Tag Partner So….……….

That he faces The Usos later in the show and if drippy Jesus wins, 2 out of 3 members of the Bloodline are barred off ringside in the blue title encounter (in case you were wondering, Kevin Owens was Seth's tag partner).

BUTTTTTTTTTTTT! The tribal chief had other ideas. He proposed a pitch where if the "burn it down" man loses the tag match, the Rumble match is gone, FINITO!

Bully Ray probably saw Seth Rollins' uttering Jox Moxley's name and reacted, "HOW DARE YOU!! BLASPHEMY!"

Fortunately for SR The Drip Mane, he got what he wanted via a DQ finish thanks to a superman punch from Roman Reigns.

While the ending did protect the tag champs, the consequences of it were just confusing especially since Reigns "wanted a vacation till Wrestlemania" and it indirectly gave Rollins a leg up.

The entire structure of the match going into it, had both RAW superstars being victorious which made the bout badly predictable.

As a guy that loves the idea of Rollins facing Reigns at the Royal Rumble for the blue belt, the booking of this feud, so far, has been unappetizing.

Madcap Moss vs Kofi Kingston.

Hey guys, I may be sick of this match happening twice but at least the other side in Kofi Kingston won the whole thing, RIGHT!?

Aliyah vs Natalya.

Speaking of meaningless rematches. Natalya's series of stomps onto Aliyah, cost the match to end via a DQ which gave Aliyah the win.

Xia Li came to save Aliyah from a beatdown by Natalya.

Wait, is Xia Li's character basically the white Knight because all she's been doing since her main roster tenure is literally rescuing people.

The Viking Raiders vs Los Lotharios.

A decent match for what it was. The raiding men from somewhere in Scandinavia won the match with the Viking Experience (side note, Thor's hammer was a way better name but I'm just nitpicking).

Susan Messes Over A Black Woman. In Other News, The Colour Of Blood Is Red.

Do I really have to explain why!? A match is happening between Deville and Naomi next week so we will see what happens.

Sheamus vs Ricochet.

The only thing I enjoyed about this episode. Sheamus emerged victorious because who didn’t besides the people that convinces fans to “let it play out”.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Sheamus vs Ricochet I guess?

Didn't like: The writing of the Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins feud so far, the meaningless rematches.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
