WWE Smackdown 11/9/20 | A Coherent Review.

WWE SmackDown Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from Sept. 11 | Bleacher Report | Latest News, Videos and Highlights

Smackdown is decent this week.

But, I will say, they (Smackdown) have been by far the interesting show going into Clash Of Champions, unlike Monday Night RAW.

Roman Reigns' Wrecking Everyone Is Paul Heyman's Spoiler (no sh*t, Omar).

WWE Photo

Heyman started the show saying that Roman Reigns accomplished his goal to not only beat up people but as well as taking the championship that Reigns never lost.

Heyman called out Jey Uso and Uso brought up the history between Jey's family and Paul Heyman.

The history he was referring to was the fact that Paul Heyman managed The Usos' father, Rikishi back when Rikishi was part of the Head Skrinkers aka The Samoan Swat Team.

King Corbin and Sheamus came out pretty much talking smack (see what just I did there?) about Jey Uso as number one contender.

Uce then challenged the bad guys to a tag team match against himself and the big dog later in the night.

To which Jey layed the Smackdown on the king and the fella.

Jey looked great with the way he took care of the heels all by himself.

This storyline is getting more and more intriguing each week and I love it.

Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles For The Intercontinental Championship.

Zayn was FURIOUS that the Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles match is for the Intercontinental championship even though he doesn't mind if it's a regular singles bout.

Adam Pearce told the guy to leave the building.

Pearce is great as an authority member. Give him his flowers for that portrayal.

The match itself was okay.

The match ended the match with a DQ because of one man, Sami Zayn.

After the beat down at the hand of Zayn, Jeff Hardy suffered from dehydration because of the way he fell down in the stage area.

Is this a slow turn to the good side for the phenomenal one? Will see.

In a backstage segment, The Street Profits showed up in Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura's celebration room of some sort.

The blue champs told the red champs to not mess up the place. What do you think happens next?

This was bad and the reason being is that it made the Smackdown champions look absolutely stupid.

Cesaro And Shinsuke Nakamura vs The Lucha House Party.

WWE Photo

The Lucha House Party won the match thanks to an odd distraction from The Street Profits messing Cesaro and Nakamura's celebration lounge in the titantron.

This booking strategy was yet again, a great example of WWE over complicating their angles.

Why can The Street Profits distract Cesaro and Nakamura on the outside instead of a video in the titantron?

Keep it simple, guys.

Bayley Explains Her Actions.

WWE Photo

Her motivations as to why she heinously attacked Sasha Banks is that Banks was close enough to finally strike on Bayley and how Banks wanted the spotlight that was on the champion.

Loved. Every. Single. Second. Of. It.

Alexa Bliss vs Nikki Cross vs Lacey Evans vs Tamina. Winner Faces Bayley For The Smackdown Women's Championship At Clash Of Champions.

WWE Photo

During Nikki Cross' entrance, Cross was attacked by Bayley with a chair.

Alexa Bliss was all over sudden "controlled by The Fiend" and she delivered an impressive sister Abigail on Nikki Cross.

Then, Bliss simply left the ring.

It is now a triple threat match and Cross somehow won the match, becoming the person to face Bayley for the championship with a roll-up.

A good match is all I'll say.

Look. I liked the series of matches that Bayley had with Nikki Cross.

However, I wish that it was Naomi facing Bayley instead of Nikki given that she pinned the champion weeks back.

That W from Naomi is rendered utterly useless.

We then witness a woman wearing a fur coat but we haven't seen her face.

It's definitely Carmella.

I would be surprised if it was anybody else.

Otis vs John Morrison.

WWE Photo

This was meh. The Miz took the Money In The Bank contract but that didn't stop Otis to win the match with a splash.

Oh, and Miz took the wrong briefcase because he took the wrong box.

Cool.

In the latest edition of the firefly funhouse, Bray Wyatt introduced a new character, a parrot named Pasquale but he died and Evil Vince gave Wyatt a new character.

Wobbly Walrus aka his special advisor.

I thought it was Alexa Bliss.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen tonight but hopefully, it does at some point.

Roman Reigns And Jey Uso vs Sheamus And King Corbin.

WWE Photo

Jey Uso did the heavy lifting in this main event encounter.

However, Roman Reigns came out right at the end of the match and delivered the spear to Sheamus for the victory.

Roman looked bothered at the end.

It is only a matter of time before the big dog gave Jey Uso a harsh beating.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, Bayley promo, the Smackdown women's championship number one contender’s match.

Didn't like: The booking for the Cesaro and Nakamura vs Lucha House Party match, how the Smackdown tag champs were portrayed as idiots, Nikki Cross' victory made Naomi's win week's before utterly useless.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
