WWE NXT 29/6/21 | A Coherent Review

Does NXT continue to be the best weekly episodic wrestling show out right now?? Yes.

Shotzi Blackheart And Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai And Raquel Gonzalez vs Io Shirai And Zoey Stark. Winner Gets An NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Opportunity.

This multi-person screams the sentence, "quick-paced chaos". This match didn't have a dull moment and that's what differs from the rest of the program that features multi-person tag team matches, ya know what I mean?

Io Shirai's beautiful moonsault on Dakota Kai, led her partner Zoey Stark to victory along with a championship opportunity which should be a fun bout.

Johnny Gargano attacked Karrion Kross from behind. Later in the episode, Kross called out Gargano inside the CWC. The champ was sidelined with an attack once again by The Way's Austin Theory and it was followed by a brawl.

Don't mind the idea of this feud because I know for a fact that they'll pull off a very enjoyable match.

Roderick Strong vs Asher Hale.

Aka Roderick Strong's re-debut of some sort and he didn't miss a tone. It's as if Roderick has been wrestling on a weekly basis for several weeks now even though he hasn't been on TV in a few months.

Strong prevailed with a modified armbar (I'm not an expert on wrestling moves so to the two of you that reads this, don't come on here and shout, "OMG. YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT A SHIN BREAKER IS?)

The NXT breakout tournament is coming back and it begins on July 13th.

It's pretty eye-opening that all of the participants in the first-ever tournament were shown on the promotional ad except for one.

Cameron Grimes vs Ari Sterling.

Speaking of participants in the NXT breakout tournament. The match was fine. Grimes defeated Sterling to which the redneck goofball called out LA Knight for a rematch next week.

The million-dollar champion was in favour of a rematch under the condition that if Cameron Grimes loses then Grimes will be LA Knight's Alfred (butler for you uncultured folks).

Samoa Joe Does His Usual Enforcing.

Joe lets Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly talk while Samoa Joe stands there to make sure both guys do not lay hands on each other.

Of course, Joe's plan didn't go as it was initially thought as both dudes had a bit of a brawl.

Seeing how Joe treated Cole compared to O'Reilly, I'm hoping this tease leads to an eventual match later down the road.

Another set of competitors that had a war of words with each other was Msk, Tommaso Ciampa, and Timothy Thatcher before their title encounter at NXT's Great American Bash PPV.

Sarray asks William Regal if she can face Toni Storm in an exhibition. Sign me up!

Mercedes Martinez And Jake Atlas vs Xia Li And Boa.

Martinez took a nasty kick from Xia Li and Martinez landed awkwardly.

I'm hoping Martinez makes a speedy recovery because it looked scary. Because of that kick, the match ended by stoppage.

Bronson Reed vs Isiah Swerve Scott For The North American Championship.

Isiah Swerve Scott just became and that, unfortunately, is how Bronson Reed's short run as North American champion came to an end.

Based on the shenanigans on the outside by the rest of Hit Row, we may get a rematch of sorts but will see what happens.

It's disappointing that Reed didn't do much with that run but I can't complain that Swerve Scott is finally getting some shine. Good on him.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Isiah Swerve Scott's championship win, the number one contender's 6 women match for the NXT women's tag team championship.

Didn't like: Nothing really.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
