WWE Fastlane 2021 | A Coherent Review.

Fastlane 2021 was…. Good? It had a disappointing start but after 2 and a half hours, I came out of watching this show with a somewhat satisfying feeling.

Oh, and I'm finally glad to see that Retribution is no more.

Sasha Banks And Bianca Belair vs Nia Jax And Shayna Baszler For The Women's Tag Team Championship.

A match that didn't need to happen but alas. The build for the Banks and Belair bout at Wrestlemania is disappointing, to put it nicely.

The women's tag team championship wasn't needed for Banks and Belair to create some miscommunications between two opponents.

As far as the match itself, I thought it was aight.

Thanks to Banks and Belair's lack of communication, Baszler quickly pinned Banks to retain the tag belts (yay for the women's champion getting pinned).

After the match, Sasha Banks slapped Bianca Belair, calling the 2021 women's Royal Rumble match winner a "rookie".

At least the focus of the build is on both women.

Shane O suffered an injury on his knee due to training for his upcoming bout with Braun Strowman.

Shane then spoke with Elias about Elias' idea of a musical performance of some sort. Cool.

Big E vs APOOOOLLLLO For The Intercontinental Championship.

Early on, Big E gave the Nigerian sensation a BEA. TING.

Moments later, Apollo delivered 3 German suplexes that led to a brutal looking stomp on Big E's near neck area.

The match ended with an inside cradle from Crews followed by an underhook pin from Big E and that's how the big man retained.

Apollo Crews viciously attacked Big E, telling the beat-up Intercontinental champion that it ain't over.

This match was disappointing and it's mainly due to the fact that it ended way too soon.

And the finish wasn't worth that disappointment.

I get that they wanted to continue this feud but I wouldn't mind the finish had the match was executed decently.

Braun Strowman vs Elias.

Elias was supposed to have his usual concert but Shane O requested this to instead be a match between Elias and Braun Strowman.

Now, what happened after that? Well, the dude took an L. Fantastic! (Sarcasm of course).

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Seth Rollins.

Also known as THE match of the night. Rollins showed off some unique moves which were some of the highlights of the match.

Rollins picked up the victory with the stomp on Nakamura.

Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus In A No Holds Barred Match.

Their previous matches were better but that doesn't mean the latest one was bad or anything.

It was just a solid 20 minutes worth of action that wouldn't blow your mind Gwen Stephani style.

Randy Orton vs Alexa Bliss.

To all the fans of intergender wrestling, I have some bad news for ya.

This match wasn't physical and it's remembered for one thing.

The return of The Fiend *cue Mark Morrison's Return Of The Mack*

The match also included weird theatrics from Bliss which is to be expected.

The Fiend's new presence looks like if Mesogog from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder burnt himself.

I will say, The Fiend does look menacing.

Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns For THE Universal Championship. Special Guest Enforcer, Edge.

Daniel Bryan showed off his signature submission moves that weaken Roman Reigns for a bit.

Meanwhile, Edge didn't involve himself in the action until he was super kicked by Jey Uso later in the match.

With the ref down, Bryan tried to hit Roman Reigns with a steel chair however, Reigns dodged it and accidentally hit on Edge.

Minutes later, Edge snapped and struck both Reigns and Bryan with a steel chair.

Reigns slowly pinned Bryan and that's how the big dog retained the championship.

*Sniffs* I smell a triple threat match coming for Wrestlemania.

The main event encounter was awesome which isn’t a surprise given that they have incredible chemistry.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura, The Fiend's new burnt look, Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns.

Didn't like: Big E vs Apollo Crews, Sasha Banks taking the pin.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
