Today was a weird day for me. I saw the movie X Men: The Dark Phoenix and Super showdown hours later. Both the movie and the PPV were surprisingly okay with some problematic moments. Life goes in mysterious ways sometimes.
Rollins rocking the Avengers: Endgame time travel gear pretty well I must say. The crowd in Jeddah were into the match even though the match was fine. During the match, Corbin did a spinning slam of some sort to Seth but the champ kicked out.
The match ended with Baron arguing with the ref which made the ref pissed off. That led to Seth pinning Corbin with the roll up and won the match. A finished we've seen before but rarely do we see it in modern day WWE and it was alright. After the match, Brock was gonna cash in the championship but Seth countered it with a low blow, series of chair shots on Brock's back and a stomp on the briefcase.
Brock, you should've cashed in on RAW this past week. In other words, this made Brock Lesnar look like an idiot if you ask me. Is Brock gonna cash in on Kofi? Maybe!?
Zelina Vega was not by Andrade's side? Hmmm, I wonder why? Anyways, this was a disappointing match considering that those two guys are capable of so much more. Don't get it twisted, this was okay but again should've been better.
Andrade got his head spiked as Michael Cole would like to put it, by a 1916 signature move from The Demon. Finn Balor retained the Intercontinental Championship with the coup de grace.
This would've been better if this was a squash and it wasn't. I'm not saying this because the build was lacklustre but like Randy Jackson usually says on American Idol "yeah, it's no for me dawg". The crowd at one point, started to chant "CM Punk, CM Punk, CM Punk".
Shane McMahon won the match luckily not clean by Drew McIntyre hitting a claymore kick to Roman without the ref's knowledge. That shot in the end where Drew carried on top of Shane McMahon while the fireworks were playing is a great shot.
Byron Saxton interviewed Kofi Kingston backstage and he asked about how Kofi hasn't been intense. Kofi Kingston replied by saying that he's focused on beating Dolph Ziggler. The real question is, When was the last time Huron interviewed somebody backstage? Feels like forever ago.
Lars Sullivan's main roster debut match which I don't why it took WWE 2 months to do it but they did. Also, the match ended in a DQ because Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik were hitting him with their finishers.
Lars was so pissed off that he put a mugging on The Lucha House Party. The best about this was when Lars was beating up those guys, a dude from the crowd shouted at Lars saying with his accent "YOU KILL HIM!". Lars should've won this match but if they're extending the feud then I'm fine with it.
This gave me Wrestlemania 25 vibes and the crowd did not help at all. Scratch that, this is much worse than their Wrestlemania match.
This match really dragged and the crowd went crazy on the slowest of moments which was weird to me but wrestling is subjective so I'm not gonna crap on their enjoyment. Randy Orton won the match with the second RKO.
Better than the previous match before this but not by much. Braun Strowman won the match with the running power slam.
Decent match. Kofi Kingston delivered a beautiful looking SOS to Ziggler. Kofi won the match with the trouble in paradise after Xavier Woods hits Ziggler with a kick which I don't mind considering that Ziggler hits Xavier Woods during the match.
After that, Ziggler was interviewed by Saxton and Ziggler demanded a rematch because of the ending, but in a STEEL CAGE *Vince McMahon voice*. We shall see what happens from there. Also, shocked that Brock hasn't come out to cash in the briefcase.
I ain't gonna tell you everything that happened in this match because that could take forever. However, this was okay. Titus O'Neil eliminated the entire team of the Viking Raiders and then got eliminated by Shelton Benjamin of all people.
I like Shelton but that elimination from Titus to The Viking Raiders was pretty embarrassing and a great example of the old man not caring about tag team wrestling. Speaking of the tag team division, the duo in AOP are back so why are they not on TV already?
Another highlight if you hate Shinsuke Nakamura, the king of strong style got eliminated by Sin Cara of all people. Samoa Joe got eliminated by Ali and Ricochet and they were looking at him for seconds which led to their Elimination by Cesaro. A great example of dumb babyface syndrome.
The ending was great and in it, the hometown hero in Mansoor eliminated Elias and got the BIGGEST ovation ever. He then cut a great promo when he was interviewed by Byron Saxton.
The dream match. The main event. People say that this match answers the question as to who's the better man. I say, this match answers the question as to who's the better wrestler in their 50s currently. Goldberg was busted open because Goldberg hits himself again with the front door I believe.
This wasn't a train wreck as I expected to be going into the "Sands Of Time" *Sean Ross Sapp voice* but Goldberg didn't look good at all. The Undertaker won the match with a botched chokeslam because Goldberg headbutted himself. I know some of y'all don't like the PPV and that's fine but at the least, it's over.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:
Like: Mansoor winning the 50 Man Battle Royal and the promo he cut after that, good camera shots (I know it's like that on all their shows but this one was especially good).
Didn't like: Triple H vs Randy Orton, The Battle Royal match itself, Shane vs Roman.
The real question is, what you guys think about Super showdown 2019? Put any of your thoughts in the comments below. Follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley.

50 Man Battle Royal (Oh Crap, Buddy Murphy Is There).
I ain't gonna tell you everything that happened in this match because that could take forever. However, this was okay. Titus O'Neil eliminated the entire team of the Viking Raiders and then got eliminated by Shelton Benjamin of all people.
