WWE RAW 21/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

Holy f**king sh*t! This week's episode of Monday Night RAW was pretty enjoyable? In other words, the resident WWE shill is back, baby! Such a shill in fact that I avoid watching NXT UK, 205 Live and WWE Main Event.

Kofi Kingston Challenges Bobby Lashley To A WWE Title Bout At Money In The Bank.

In MVP's VIP Lounge, The New Day showed up and Kofi Kingston challenged Bobby Lashley to a match for the big championship at Money In The Bank.

And with no hesitation, Bobby accepted the challenge. Xavier Woods has a match challenge of his own for Bob Lashley.

Woods wanted the encounter to take place inside Hell In A Cell and Bob was like,"Yea, I accept. Cool."

The thing I love about Lashley's run is his confidence. His confidence in that he can beat up anybody because he's God damn powerful in the ring.

WWE could've easily made him execute a typical heel move and say, "no" to all types of challenges but they didn't.

And that's what I also like about Lashley. He's not fit into the "heel" character standards that most of us are used to.

Human beings are inherently complex species and I want characters in every form of scripted entertainment including professional wrestling to embrace that instead of making characters too "black and white".

Ricochet vs AJ Styles. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

Here's someone we haven't seen in quite some time, Ricochet.

The match was not only a fun one (I mean, it's Ricochet and f'ing AJ Styles) but it also had some stakes in it which is the spot for the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Some shenanigans between The Viking Raiders and Omos happened outside which kinda distracted Styles that led to a cool looking code breaker by Ricochet mid-air to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Eva Marie revealed that her new protégé's name is Doudrop.

Doudrop sounds like someone trying to spell "dewdrop" on Google because they don't know the correct spelling.

Besides the stupid name, the segment kind of acknowledge that *sigh* Doudrop was someone else because she was about to utter the name "Piper Niven'' and that's cool, I guess?

That doesn't change the fact that the commentators last week pulled a Djimon Hounsou from the guardians of the galaxy and said, "WHOOOOOOOOOO!?"  After seeing Piper Niven.

Side note, I can't believe I'm saying this but Eva Marie's dialogue work was good in this.

She was leagues better than the last time I've heard her speak in a live setting like RAW or Smackdown.

Speaking of both women, their miscommunications led to a tag team loss thanks to a roll-up pin from Naomi to Eva Marie. Since it was a Money In The Bank qualifying match, Naomi and Asuka are now in the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Rhea Ripley And Charlotte Flair Discuss A Rematch At Money In The Bank.

Flair made some threats, warning Ripley that a beating for the Australian will be coming at Money In The Bank.

A predictable outcome yet I don't hate it. Here's hoping Flair doesn't lose again and again going into the PPV.

Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke had a verbal exchange with the current women's tag team champions that led to a bit of brawl. Cool.

Randy Orton vs John Morrison. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

A decent match is all I'll say about this.

Yet another shenanigans and distractions from The Miz was followed by the starship pain finish on Orton to win the match and qualify for the ladder match.

Nikki Cross And Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax And Shayna Baszler.

Nikki Cross is now being portrayed as a superhero kinda like Shane Helms aka The Hurricane and if there's one person that can pull that character off, it's Nikki Cross.

Did a distraction finish happen in this match? Yes. Is it getting repetitive? Yes, yes and yes.

Cross rolled Shayna Baszler up to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match.

Riddle vs Drew McIntyre. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

Two contrasting styles were blended into a neat package. In other words, the match was good. Riddle countered an electric drop into a roll-up pin to qualify for the ladder match.

Cedric Alexander, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus and Jinder Mahal stated their reasons to Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville as to why they should be in the ladder match. Meh.

Meanwhile,  Mansoor was pretty disturbed with Jaxson Ryker's racis……… I mean with the way Ryker was preparing for a strap match next week against Elias.

Bobby Lashley vs Xavier Woods In A Hell In A Cell Match.

Apparently, Sean Ross Sapp of ruiningyourwrestlingentertainment.com (I'm joking, by the way) said in the post-RAW review show that a Hell In A Cell match was requested by the USA Network since Fox had one this past Smackdown.

I ain't mad at the choice because this main event encounter was great. Probably one of my favourite TV matches of the year.

Lashley wins at the end with the hurt lock. Oh, and Lashley delivered further beating to Woods as Kofi was watching on and couldn’t do anything about it because the cage door was locked.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Riddle vs Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley vs Xavier Woods In A Hell In A Cell Match, opening segment, Ricochet vs AJ Styles.

Didn't like: Doudrop??

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
