WWE RAW 30/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Is Hell In A Cell next week? Yes.  Am I excited about the show? Hell no.  Does my "productivity" increase while getting paid in pennies? Yes, yes and yes.  Is this episode really good? Ah…...No. Expect some "cool" and "this match was aight" because nothing really noteworthy happened which is Smackdown's middle name. "The nothing show" with bad creative.  Bianca Belair vs Asuka.  Now, you may think that RAW started off with a match (you know, like NXT before the skittles phase) but nope. The show actually began with the usual arrogant Becky promo that led to a brawl between her, Belair and Asuka.  This is a Wrestlemania main event worthy match and it kinda sucks that it's happening on a random forgettable episode of RAW. However, at least I enjoyed it for what it was.  Belair's defeat over Asuka was followed by an immediate beatdown from Becky Lynch.  Ezekiel (or as Kevin Owens would say "Ezekiel") Rey And Dominik Mysterio vs

Wrestling With Whiteness | A Documentary Sorely Needed.

Here's the thing. My 2 viewers will know that I've been a wrestling fan for 15 plus years but what they do not know is that I've been a Somali (aka a Black Muslim person) my entire life so talking about this documentary is going to be a little more personal, to say the least.  And look, I know this is the part where I insert my usual wit and fart jokes but you're not gonna see less of that because this is a serious topic (and you know it's serious when I mentioned my ethnicity) about representation and the shared struggle across every single black performer featured in this documentary.  From the press release, Wrestling With Whiteness "focuses on sharing the stories of Black folx and their experience in the wrestling community. Using a combination of interviews with Black wrestlers and Black content creators, Wrestling With Whiteness uncovers the unique experiences of Black people in the industry and the rise of representation for performers and fans around th

Yes, people. Hell In A Cell is next Sunday (or Monday morning in my case) and this has been the least memorable build of a PPV I've ever covered.  The question is, was this episode of Smackdown also the least memorable? I mean, yea.  Shinsuke Nakamura And Riddle Go Against The Usos.  Yea, the two guys that lost their tag partners due to injury are challenging The Usos for the unified tag belts and based on the brawl, it looks like Riddle and Nakamura will be facing The Usos which I don't mind. I mean, I did, unfortunately, see someone f**k a corpse.   Ronda Rousey vs Raquel Rodriguez. The match ended via a DQ due to Shayna Baszler and Natalya's attack on both competitors which led to a tag team match.  Ah. The classic "singles match turned into a tag match". And guess who won? Rousey and Rodriguez. You know what that means?  You're probably going to see the match between Raquel Rodriguez and Rona Rousey again and again and again (sprinkle in a heel turn from

WWE RAW 23/5/22 | A Coherent Review

You know that time has passed by when Doctor Strange has been in cinemas near you for 3 weeks and the Naomi and Sasha walkout situation is a week old.  Meanwhile, my hairline is still receding so time hasn't changed all that much. But, at least this week's Monday Night RAW episode didn't piss me off (that would be a lie, my guy).  Look At Riddle Supporting His Friend, Randall.  Hey now, Riddle will probably do something devious. After all, he is a POS. For real though, it does look like Orton's back issues are real based on a few news articles I've read. Wishing Randall Keith Orton a Reverse-Flash level speedy recovery.  Riddle then teamed up with the Street Profits to face The Usos and Sami Zayn and it was fine. Riddle stood tall in the end as he led his team to victory.  Bobby Lashley said, "Hey, MVP. Me And You In A Match Tonight."  Headline once again doing God's work describing a 10-minute segment however, headline missed one key point. And that i

A Few News I Guess: Roman Reigns Upcoming Challengers REVEALED!?

Since this past week's news was as slow as GTA 5's load time on the Xbox 360 I decided to showcase a few news, I guess?  Solo Sikoa Possibly Joining The Bloodline!?  Apologies for that clickbait headline but I had to do what I had to do, ya know?  Why? You'll see in a bit. In an interview with Corey Graves' After The Bullsh…….. I mean After The Bell, The Usos talked about their brother possibly joining The Bloodline (from Wrestling Inc ): "Always trying to evolve,” “You’re going to get left behind or you’re going to stay in the mix. And when you get here, you either sink or swim. That’s as simple as it can get, it doesn’t matter if you’re running things down there or whatever.  When you get up here, we’re going to find out what you’re really made of.  You’re either going to crack or deliver as we do, and the sucky part about this, little brother, it’s going to be hard. We’re all big timing and then you’ve got little bro and he’s next in line.  It’s going to be hard

Regarding the whole Naomi and Sasha Banks situation, WWE has (on top of saying that Banks and Naomi have disappointed the fans to which I say, "FACK OFF, WILL YA?!") relinquished the women's tag belts and they're going to have a tournament to which I say, "WHAT F**KING TEAMS!?" WWE has more women's tag teams than Arsenal has champions league titles.  As far as how I feel about the show, it was really mediocre, to say the least.   Roman Reigns Hypes Up The Usos In Purse Of The Tag Title Unification Match.  I'm just going to describe the main event match since it was pretty darn short. The Usos did just defeat RKBRO to win the red belts which led to a beatdown from the Bloodline to RKBRO.  While the 6 man match at Backlash was, dare I say, a match of the year candidate, this one was just too uneventful due to the sudden end of an okay match that could've been MUCH better.  Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sami Zayn.  I once remember that they had a match of th

Oh boy. The entire situation of Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out is literally the thing people are talking about the show even though it's not a work.  The thing that we all should take away from this is knowing our value and if anybody doesn't see it then to quote Rick Ross, "F**k EM!"  Oh, and RAW was aight, I guess. The thing that I appreciated about the episode is that it had some sense of direction in certain aspects which WWE has lacked for a minute now.  Omos vs Bobby Lashley In A Steel Cage.  My man Bobby is struggling inside a salad steel cage. And so was Cedric as he fell from the top of the cage. Lashley escaped the cage which means Bob the destroyer is the winner.  The match was surprisingly enjoyable.  Mustafa Ali vs Veer Mahaan With Special Guest Referee, The Miz.  Once again, The Miz screwed Mustafa over and as a result, Veer took it as an advantage to tap Ali out and win the whole thing as a result.  When will Mustafa slap the sh*t of Austin Titan ove

The 5 News Week: Vince McMahon Has Wrestlemania 39 Plans?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Roman Reigns THE PART-TIMER!?  I guess he followed John Cena's promo 5 years ago saying that he may do it part-time better than he does it full time.  At least if you believe what "mark is worse than the n-word", Dave Meltzer said on the Wrestling Observer Radio (no, I don't, Omar).  He's heard from his snitch that when discussing the tribal chief's part-time schedule, the success of the first night of this year's Wrestlemania, convinced Titan Towers that they don't need to feature their top champion on every PPV since the Peacock money is "guaranteed" (the fact that I laughed at the line, "Peacock money" should tell you how immature I am).  Kota Ibushi BREAKS UP With NJPW!? To qu

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w

Yes, Wrestlemania Backlash is tomorrow and I couldn't care less about the show besides two guys battling out on who has the better suit game, Cody or Seth?  And the episode reflected that in my humble opinion.  A Ronda Rousey And Charlotte Flair Brawl.  Headline once again doing God's work right now. I mean, at least Charlotte didn't do the typical heel thing and ran away from a fight, right?  Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks.  In my opinion, a Wrestlemania worthy match had Shayna Baszler been booked better on TV.  After Sasha Banks defeated Shayna Baszler, Baszler and Nattie unsuccessfully attempted a beatdown on Banks and Naomi since the tag champs retaliated quickly with a double eat defeat to Natalya. Coolinos.  Midcap Moss' Sad Attempt At Stand Up Comedy, You Know, Like Dave Chappelle.  BOOM. GOT EM. Gunther vs Drew Gulak.  The "USA" chants aka the only time Drew Gulak actually got over accidentally. Slim fit Gunther wins with a powerbomb.  Sheamus And Rid

How Naomi's Royal Rumble 2020 Return SHOOK Black Twitter.

If you haven't been watching WWE for 10+ years, well first off, why are you here and secondly, can I be like you because I'm jealous?  Let me recap who Naomi is. She is a wrestler, actor, dancer, singer and a former women's champion who's been with WWE for 10 years.  In other words, Naomi is a future EGOT winner and you cannot tell me otherwise.  Thanks to her persona that resonated with the audience whether as a heel or a babyface, she has built up a following that is "ride or die" for the former funkadactyl aka stans which I am a part of.  Why? Because if there's one thing I have in common with Stan Twitter is that we love to call white people "ageing at the speed of crack".  She may be throwing glow sticks like an early 2010s Ellie Goulding music video, but she's a capable talent that can hang with the best of the best.  But, you read the title. This ain't about a career retrospect about Naomi (although I don't mind doing so), but

WWE RAW 2/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Holy crap, it's already MAY!? Better yet, Wrestlemania Backlash is next week!? I'm feeling like Dr Manhattan because time is an illusion at this point. Oh, and RAW was like a breeze if that breeze was 3 hours long.  RKBRO And Drew McIntyre Didn't Acknowledge Roman Reigns.  A brawl ensued after Roman Reigns uttered the sentence "acknowledge me" which has been the only thing Roman Reigns has said in what feels like an eternity.  WWE getting rid of their tag title unification for Backlash is a sign that they're saving it for another show or something which screams WWE booking.  Either way, the writing going into Wrestlemania Backlash is like eating Subway in that it kinda sucks.  The Street Profits And Ezekiel vs Alpha Academy And Kevin Owens.  A mediocre backstage segment led to a decent 6 man tag team match, playas! The babyfaces did lose this one but at least, Chad Gable actually pinned somebody for the win, right?  Veer Mahaan PROVES That He Is Once Again, TH
