A Few Thoughts I Guess: Forbidden Door. Wrestlemania 2000 But With Thigh Slaps?

I know my 4 viewers, I haven't posted anything in over a week and that's because ya boy was under the weather (not Covid related thankfully).  But, the content never stops no matter how many pieces I've posted that include fart jokes straight out of master of disguise.  With that being said, here are a few thoughts, I guess?  Brief Thoughts On The Forbidden Door.  Yea. You read the headline right. Forbidden Door is Wrestlemania 2000 with thigh slaps.  What do I mean by that? Well, the main critique (or nitpick I should say) I have for this show (despite being a very good one), is that they were a LOT of multi-person matches and counting how many singles matches were there by two hands is as hard as pronouncing whatever the hell this word is  (Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch).  Like I said, I really had a good time with Forbidden Door, I just wished there was a little bit more variety in match types.  (Also) Brief Thoughts On Monday Night RAHHHHHH

WWE RAW 20/6/22 | A Coherent Review.

RAW was okay. That's it. That's the intro.  Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley for the red women's belt ain't happening!?  The reason being is that Rhea Ripley isn't medically cleared to compete so a fatal five-way number one contender's match was set up to determine the new number one contender (spoilers, it's Carmella).  A decision I do not mind or flat out hate.  My 1 and a half viewers will know that I've been critical of WWE's series of rematches but considering it was one of the best matches of the year (yes, I'm talking about Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch), why not run it back one more time?  Riddle vs Omos. Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.  Y'all are about to be so surprised when I tell you that Omos won a match again.  Omos wins with the double chokeslam to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match.  Seth Rollins showed up (used the "forehead loser sign" like every uncle in the 90s to Riddle), stated that he'll be the

The 5 News Week: BREAKING NEWS. Vince Russo Has GONE MAD. More At 11.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  BREAKING NEWS. Vince Russo Has GONE MAD. More At 11.  Now, why did I type that headline?  Well, it's because the man with more plot twists in him than an M Night Shamhammer movie said in Sportskeeda's Writing With Russo show (y'all are legit desperate for content, huh) that Vince McMahon should use Stephanie's then brief absence as a storyline (From Sportskeeda ):  “Can you imagine if we talk to Vince or Vince tweets out, ‘Man, I just watched Stephanie’s interview. I never in my wildest dreams thought a McMahon could be that weak,’” Russo said. “Just stuff like that. That’s how you’re gonna grab people’s attention." Why does Russo feel this way? Because he's WILD. Also, if he starts a sentence with "can you

THE Coherent AEW Take: Rampage Was AWFUL!?

WOW! Another AEW recap despite how inconsistent this written series is? This must be an odd kinda week, right?  AEW Dynamite and Rampage were aight as a whole although I did find Rampage to be quite yawn-inducing despite being an hour-long program.  Rampage.  Highlights.  None, unfortunately.  Some Other Things That Happened.  Satnam Singh led his partner (Jay Lethal) to victory as they defeated Dave Vega and Matt Fitchett - Still don't get the hype AEW has for the big guy.  *Unenthusiastic* Yay, Will Ospreay's AEW in-ring debut - Cool. Eddie Kingston defeated Jake Hager - Eddie Kingston aka wrestling's uncle. A decent match is all I'll say.  Red Velvet lost to Kris Statlander then chaos ensued - This ain't an AEW Show without a brawl or two, right?  Dynamite.  Highlights.  Jurassic Express vs The Young Bucks For the AEW World Tag Team Championship In *Dario Cueto's Voice* A LADDER MATCH!  Ladder match? The Young Bucks? A recipe for an enjoyable encounter.

A Few News I Guess: Fred From The Scooby-Doo Movie Made A WWE Star CRY!?

Since I didn't have time to come up with 5 major or minor news of the week in the name of "productivity", I decided to showcase a few news, I guess?  News On The Judgment Day Stable Going SOUTH!? The reason why ( according to their snitch at Fightful Select ) we witnessed a Vince Russo-style twist with Finn Balor being the leader by turning on Edge is that the WWE wanted a "supernatural" direction (oh no, does this mean the stable will last 15 years?).  However, Edge was like, "Nah, I don't like that." The twist was planned hours before this week's Monday Night RAW while a plan for a Finnie Baylord heel turn was coined in days before the Hell In A Cell PPV.  Fred From The Scooby-Doo Movie Made A WWE Star CRY!? No. This isn't kayfabe news like satire. On the June 1st episode of Freddie Prinze Jr's "Wrestling With Freddie" podcast , Ryan Dunne recalled the time he made former Divas champion Michelle McCool cry by writing her t

A Very LATE AEW Coherent Take: AEW Got Too Many TITLES!?

It's Friday. You know what that means. An AEW recap series that comes out as consistent as Vince McMahon's creative vision. You know what's consistent? How enjoyable Rampage and Dynamite are for the most part.  Rampage.  Highlights.  Get Well Soon CM Punk.  Headline spitting facts here. The fact that it's a match elimination series of a battle Royal then a one-on-one match then another one-on-one match at Forbidden Door and not a full-fledged tournament was the right choice considering how common tournaments are in AEW (also, please, let Adam Cole be the interim champion).  The Young Bucks vs The Lucha Bros.  Anything with the Bucks and Lucha Bros will always make me utter the word "Pog" like a typical Twitch chatter that has nothing going for themselves.  Unlike their encounter at last year's All Out PPV, The Young Bucks stood tall against the former tag team champions.  Some Other Things That Happened.  Kiera Hogan lost to Athena - I guess Kiera wasn

WWE RAW 6/6/22 | A Coherent Review

Hell In A Cell was surprisingly a good PPV mainly because it didn't go for two hours after seeing 2 matches.  As far as Monday Night RAW is concerned, it was surprisingly prettay, prettay, pretty good.   Also, some guy named John Felix Anthony is coming to RAW in a few weeks. Don't know why exactly but we'll find out soon.  SETH ROLLINS ATTACKS A WHITE ALLY IN 4K.  Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame. This was an acceptable way to write off Cody Rhodes so I'm hoping for a speedy recovery from the American nightmare.  I will say, the main event scene for the men is looking as empty as the movie theatre after Morbius' re-release.  I'm hoping WWE has somewhat of a decent plan to counteract that but I highly doubt that.  Becky Lynch is sick of the 24/7 championship stuff.  Becky hates that division so badly, that she faced Dana Brooke in a match and lost thanks to Asuka holding one of Becky's legs so that Brooke goes for the quick pinfall victory.  It made sense here so

WWE Smackdown 3/6/22 | A Coherent Review.

Hey, look. Another memorable episode of Smackdown if you're a fan of Madcap Moss.  Drew McIntyre And The New Day vs The Brawling Burtes.  Before the match, McIntyre was legit down bad and horned up to a level so high, it's literally over 9000.  The Butch led his brufs to victory via a bitter end to Xavier Woods. Cool.  Max Dupri is going to reveal his first client for his modelling agency. Okay?  Jinder Mahal vs Humberto.  I know it's been a while but man WWE loves first names. I bet they saw the name "Gus" and said, "Now that's a bada** name".  Shanky's dancing worked for Jinder Mahal as the modern may Maharaja won the match. Will see if his dancing will lead to another WWE title win……… oh wait.  Madcap Moss Gave Baron Corbin A BEATING.  Moss was like, "I AIN'T MID NO MORE, CORBIN".  Shayna Baszler vs Natalya vs Aliyah vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Shotzi vs Xia Li.  Hey, look. Here's a name I've not seen since the industrial revo

AEW Dynamite 1/6/22 | A Coherent Review

Ever since I saw that Monday was the day that AEW Double Or Nothing was happening, I knew I wouldn't be able to review a 4-hour show due to the fact this thing called "productivity" kept me occupied.  While the PPV was good, it's just way too long. Oh, and this episode of Dynamite was also pretty good.  Summer Of Punk Is Back.  The difference is that he's not going to lose to some guy named Paul Levesque.  The new AEW champion teamed up with FTR to face Max Caster and the a** men.  And of course, their a** wasn't enough to win the match as they lost to a finish formerly known as the shatter machine.  A decent but surprisingly short opener considering how that company loves their matches to be Stranger Things episode 9 levels long.  The segment didn't end here as NJPW legend Hiroshi Tanahashi appeared on Dynamite and pointed at the world title belt.  Let's freaking go, boyz.  Fans Went From Saying, "F**K YOU MAX!" To "Not Gonna Lie, My Ma
