A Few News I Guess: Fred From The Scooby-Doo Movie Made A WWE Star CRY!?

Since I didn't have time to come up with 5 major or minor news of the week in the name of "productivity", I decided to showcase a few news, I guess?

News On The Judgment Day Stable Going SOUTH!?

The reason why (according to their snitch at Fightful Select) we witnessed a Vince Russo-style twist with Finn Balor being the leader by turning on Edge is that the WWE wanted a "supernatural" direction (oh no, does this mean the stable will last 15 years?).

However, Edge was like, "Nah, I don't like that." The twist was planned hours before this week's Monday Night RAW while a plan for a Finnie Baylord heel turn was coined in days before the Hell In A Cell PPV.

Fred From The Scooby-Doo Movie Made A WWE Star CRY!?

No. This isn't kayfabe news like satire. On the June 1st episode of Freddie Prinze Jr's "Wrestling With Freddie" podcast, Ryan Dunne recalled the time he made former Divas champion Michelle McCool cry by writing her to lose a Divas championship match at the Royal Rumble (2011 I assume) "with dignity" (from WrestlingInc):

“I am a complete rookie, I have no idea the politics of it, Michelle never came to the promo class so I didn’t really know Michelle at all, I start pitching it to her, what it was gonna be, which, it wasn’t right on my part. I explain to her that the suggestion is that she drops the title at the Royal Rumble … and her face just goes pale, all the color just drops right out of her, literally right out of her skin … her eyes well up.”

He then got the point that the title meant so much for McCool especially since she didn't expect to lose the championship and the fact that he was tasked to create a match between Kharma aka Awesome Kong and Beth Phoenix.

WWE Really HIGH On GUNTHER!?

Why is that? Well, Fightful Select has noted that the former UK champion's move to America (burther) and his diet commitments (them packs though) have pretty much impressed WWE.

Considering that he's had an undefeated streak and won the intercontinental championship within a few months of his main roster re-debut, this report made a ton of sense.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE RAW 9/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...
