WWE Smackdown Live 30/10/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live yesterday was a skippable show other than the opening segment and match in my opinion. Now usually on my RAW/Smackdown Live review, I break down what's good, what's ok and what's bad. For the first time, I'm only gonna tell you what's ok given that this show was again a skippable show and here we go.  WHAT'S OK The opening segment  This is the probably one of if not most noteworthy moment this week mainly because as you might know, there were reports going around that John Cena and Daniel Bryan were out of Crown Jewel and the reports are indeed true and it makes sense, especially for John Cena considering that he's an actor now and he needs to maintain his PR status. The segment itself was decent. Loved both guys' intensity and that segment leads to a WWE championship match and speaking of which............. Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles  Decent match. Expected a better from these two but again, decent nevertheless but...

WWE RAW 29/10/18 | My Coherent Review.

I haven't reviewed RAW in 2 weeks so was this show worth me reviewing it in the sense that it is any good? No, it's boring as usual with RAW. Why you ask? Well, I'm gonna tell you what's good, what's ok and what's bad.   WHAT'S GOOD   Seth Rollins Calls Out Dean Ambrose   This is the best Seth Rollin promo I've ever heard. It's even better than his heel promos back in late 2014/ early to late 2015. He spoke with such intensity and passion that it just made it so much better and Dean being silent was just plain awesome. Me saying how good this is doesn't do it justice so click here if you haven't seen it.  Bobby Lashley Is Finally Not Cringe-Inducing Look, I don't give a crap about the match itself because it's literally a repeat of last week's match but I'm liking this new, serious Bobby Lashley and it's something that he should've gotten when he came back to the company several months ago and t...

WWE Evolution | My Coherent Review.

Evolution had a piss poor build up going in and those types of build-ups will usually end up with a solid show but was this an exception? I would somewhat say yes considering that I liked certain things about this show as well as the things that I didn't like and here's why.  Trish Stratus and Lita vs Alicia Fox and Mickie James  A decent opener in my opinion. There was a point in the match where Trish hit a beautiful sit out spinebuster to a near fall. The match ended with Trish delivered the stratusfaction to Mickie James but Alicia broke the count. Immediately after that, Lita hit the Twist fate followed by a moonsault on both Mickie James and Alicia Fox and the team of Trish and Lita won the match.    20 Women Battle Royal number one contender match for a title opportunity.     That was a pretty good battle royal in my opinion but the finish was rather odd. I don't hate that Nia won the match because Ronda Rousey had a good mat...

The 5 News Week: Samoa Joe Is Injured According to Reports, A Wyatt Family Reunion?, Alicia Fox Replacing Bliss At Evolution.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Samoa Joe Is Injured According to Reports Unfortunately, Samoa Joe is reportedly injured according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter with an unspecified injury. It could be a minor injury but given how he has been injured at the right time of his big break before, it could also be a major injury. This is a developing story as of right now and I wish him nothing but a speedy recovery.  A Wyatt Family Reunion?   Wow, another story reported by the Wrestling Observer. Who knew? Anyways according  to  them , WWE creative pitched an idea for Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper to reunite on TV. They haven't specified on which brand they're going to reunite on but it is interesting.  Alicia Fox To Replace Alexa Bliss At Evolution Tomorrow  ...

Roman Reigns Relinquishes The Universal Title Because He Has Leukemia.

I have a sad and unfortunate news to break. Two hours ago on RAW, Roman cut a great promo pretty much stating that he's been living with leukemia for over 11 years and the disease's return forced him to give up the universal championship. The segment ended with both shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins gave a group hug to Roman and did the triple shield fist pump. Ever since that, fellow WWE superstars reacted to the news on Twitter and here are the tweets so far. An amazing human being, an incredible performer & a man I’m proud to be friends with. My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. Get well soon, champ! #ThankYouRoman https://t.co/jL1Q5dVvzs — #WOKEN, yet #BROKEN, Matt Hardy (@MATTHARDYBRAND) October 23, 2018 My heart right now .... Prayers for @WWERomanReigns 😞🙏🏻 https://t.co/9sqk0KfFnP — Lexi Kaufman (@AlexaBliss_WWE) October 23, 2018 He’s our locker room leader. He IS the business. He’ll be back. You go...

People Over at FOX Are Not Too Happy With WWE's Entertainment Aspect.

Now if you have been living under a huge rock, you know that WWE has indeed signed a 5 year 1 billion dollar deal from FOX and a wrestling show is not the only thing that FOX wants. From Dave Meltzer's recent observer newsletter , FOX wants WWE to give more of a serious/sports like feel into their programming considering that FOX are planning to have a "sports block" throughout the weekend from Thursday until Sunday.  FOX are also planning to air the NFL on that "sports block" on Thursday, to air Smackdown Live on Friday and wants to promote Smackdown Live during their sport shows but in order for that to happen they [WWE] need to change their way of storytelling.  What do I think of this? FOX like any networks has their perspective on which number considers a lower rating and which number considers a higher rating if that makes sense and I say this because several months ago, FOX cancelled a show called Lucifer which gets anywhere between 3 to 4...

WWE Smackdown 1000 | My Coherent Review.

Now, I haven't reviewed Smackdown Live last week (I didn't even review RAW last night because It was so bad and boring that I wasn't even in the mood to review it) but wasn't worth the week off? No, this show was disappointing in the sense that it felt like another episode of Smackdown Live and not a 1000 episode celebration in my opinion. Why you ask? Well, I'm gonna tell you what's good, what's ok and what's bad. Here we go.  WHAT'S GOOD Truth TV  Before this, they played a video package to celebrate 1000 episodes of Smackdown which was great. Even though Stephanie McMahon was on that segment and the fact that Vinny Mac actually danced in the ring, this was surprisingly a good segment and a good way to start the show in my opinion.  The Evolution Returns  I’m not saying this because I and everybody else love evolution but this was great. Dave Batista cutting that promo was great. The thing I loved about that was the passion he...

Kevin Owens Could Be Out For A Significant Amount Of Time.

If you watched Monday Night RAW this week you know that by the end of Kevin Owens' match with Bobby Lashley, Lashley hit Owens on both of his legs. That was a way to write Owens off TV.  At least that was what John over at POST wrestling.com  said in his news update two days ago. Well, I got an update for that. According to good old Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer News Letter , Owens could be out anywhere from four to eight months depending on how severe the injury is.  What do I think of this? I'm going to sound generic but I wish Owens nothing but a speeding recovery.  What do you think about this? Sound off in the comments below and follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

RUMOUR: Asuka's English Is Causing Her Push?

Yes, people, this is an actual speculation. From Mike Johnston on the PWinsider elite audio show , he basically said that WWE doesn't have a storyline for her currently to which good old Dave Meltzer replied (Transcript via Ringside news ): “ Oh there’s tons for her right now, he just doesn’t want to — she doesn’t speak good English, I mean say what you want but that’s the bottom line. If she spoke good English I think she would be getting more. He wants you to be able to cut promos .” What do I think of this? Look, when you're a WWE performer or a professional wrestler for that matter, having good or decent promo skills is a must but Asuka is one of those wrestlers who can be great just by her demeanour alone and if Asuka or Andrade "Cien" Almas for example in NXT has taught me is that you don't really need to be fluent in English in order to grab the fan's attention.  What do you guys think about this? Sound off in the comments below and follow t...

WWE Super Show Down | My Coherent Review.

Hello my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to my coherent review for WWE Super Showdown and overall, WWE Super Showdown was an entertaining four hours of pro wrestling and here's why.  The New Day (c) vs The Bar for the SmackDown Live tag team championship  I do like the fact that this match opened the show but was it any good? Not really and the way it ended was weird? The match ends with Woods hitting the backstabber followed by a chest double stomp by Kofi to Cesaro and just like that, the new day wins. Decent match but not as great as the other matches they had on SmackDown Live.  Becky Lynch (c) vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Live women's championship  Big "Let's go Becky Lynch" chants. If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what will. Anyways, the match was pretty good. Becky Lynch retains via a DQ by Becky Lynch. I'm going to assume that the rubber match will be a no DQ stipulation match of some sort at ev...
