RUMOUR: Asuka's English Is Causing Her Push?

Yes, people, this is an actual speculation. From Mike Johnston on the PWinsider elite audio show, he basically said that WWE doesn't have a storyline for her currently to which good old Dave Meltzer replied (Transcript via Ringside news):

 “Oh there’s tons for her right now, he just doesn’t want to — she doesn’t speak good English, I mean say what you want but that’s the bottom line. If she spoke good English I think she would be getting more. He wants you to be able to cut promos.”

What do I think of this? Look, when you're a WWE performer or a professional wrestler for that matter, having good or decent promo skills is a must but Asuka is one of those wrestlers who can be great just by her demeanour alone and if Asuka or Andrade "Cien" Almas for example in NXT has taught me is that you don't really need to be fluent in English in order to grab the fan's attention.

Another disappointing episode of Friday night Smackdown but it was a bit better this week. Still, a meh episode.  Miz TV. Special Guest, Team Hulk Hogan And Team Ric Flair.  Both team Hulk Hogan and team Flair were guests on the latest edition of Miz TV or at least most of it due to a brand split. Hulk Hogan mentioned in his promo that he's put out the greatest team Hulkamania of all time (are the mega powers and Brutus Beefcake a joke to you brother?)  Ric Flair replied by basically saying that his team will beat Hogan's team at Crown Jewel. Few News I Guess: Brief Thoughts On Survivor Series 2021.

Since last week's news were as slow as……………. That's actually a lie considering the unfortunate mass release and the fact that my mental health has been through the roof for the past couple of days (thanks random anxiety attacks, appreciate it).  One Image via WWE.com Some NXT Superstars Getting NAME Changes!?  Trademarking their names only to let them go mere months later. Top 7 Best TV Wrestling Matches Of 2020.

2020 was to quote the 5 News Week Look Back article , "eventful, awful, wild and surprisingly quick."  That doesn't mean there weren't some good wrestling to watch on television so here it is.  My and I repeat MY top 5 best TV matches of 2020. some images via WWE.com #7 Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin. AEW TNT Championship Semi-Finals Bout.  This list includes two matches that starred two people with fantastic chemistry. One of them is this gem of an encounter between Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. All elite wrestling has introduced a brand new championship for the mid-card and was contested via a good old fashioned tournament.  The matches were fine but one of them stood out amongst the rest.  That, of course, being the Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin bout at the tournament's semi-finals.  Allin actually pulled off a crossrhodes that looked so good that I don't mind him adding it to his arsenal.   The finish was executed a bit poorly which is why it is lower...
