RUMOUR: Asuka's English Is Causing Her Push?

Yes, people, this is an actual speculation. From Mike Johnston on the PWinsider elite audio show, he basically said that WWE doesn't have a storyline for her currently to which good old Dave Meltzer replied (Transcript via Ringside news):

Oh there’s tons for her right now, he just doesn’t want to — she doesn’t speak good English, I mean say what you want but that’s the bottom line. If she spoke good English I think she would be getting more. He wants you to be able to cut promos.”

What do I think of this? Look, when you're a WWE performer or a professional wrestler for that matter, having good or decent promo skills is a must but Asuka is one of those wrestlers who can be great just by her demeanour alone and if Asuka or Andrade "Cien" Almas for example in NXT has taught me is that you don't really need to be fluent in English in order to grab the fan's attention.

What do you guys think about this? Sound off in the comments below and follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

Will Hobbs. Professional Wrestling's Powerhouse

"What's the most powerful house you can think of? Perhaps a bungalow, something that's low, unshakable, that kinda thing? ” Hey Ew, 2022 Think of the greatest big men in the history of the business. Big Van Vader who represents pure unadulterated aggression that seamlessly benefits his ferocious in-ring style ( see his match with Mitsuharu Misawa for more information).  Bam Bam Bigelow who's unpredictability inside the ring like his flying headbutts and moonsaults has made him spectacular to watch.  The Undertaker who have built a sense of aura by masterfully marching down the ring, creating anticipation in the process as well as constructing an expression of a man who hates video games and wants “men to be like men” .  And then there's Powerhouse Will Hobbs. A man who I believe in years to come is the heir apparent to the throne of “greatest big men in wrestling” and for good reason. Mr “I Break Backs Like Bane” possesses a power that belies his exuberance.  Why ...

WWE Summerslam 2022 | A (first PPV review since Wrestlemania) Coherent Review.

I've been so inconsistent with my content this year with me posting way less stuff than in my almost 4 years of inserting fart jokes in every piece (to the point where I haven't reviewed a PP….. Excuse me, PLE since this year's Wrestlemania) and I'm so sorry for that, my bot accounts and a particular head of PR.  With all of the BS out of the way, how was Summerslam? Almost 2 years ago, WWE produced one of the best Summerslams despite the sheer circumstances. Last year's? Not so much.  The *looks at the quarterly earnings* $90 million dollar question is, did this year's show deliver like Summerslam 2020 or was it a stinker like Omos' wrestling ability? It was somewhere in the middle like Dolph Ziggler's career but felt longer than an AEW PPV. But, if I had to give it a thumbs up or down, it's an easy thumbs up.  Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch For The RAW Women's Championship.  Those ladies delivered once again. The KOD on the barricade was *chef...

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...
