The 5 News Week: An Update Regarding Kairi Sane Coming Back To Japan, Extreme Rules Quick Predictions.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post wher e I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Update Regarding Kairi Sane Coming Back To Japan.  There were reported stories about Kairi Sane going back to Japan whether it's serving as a WWE ambassador in Japan according to Fightful select (because the company wants to open an NXT performance centre over there).  Or planning to stay with WWE for another year or so until she retires and goes back to Japan and be with her husband essentially according to Alex McCarthy of TalkSport.  Or as Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter believes, Sane wants to leave the company once her contract expires.  And now, a reputable site has a say in this story. Tokyo Sports stated that Kairi Sane is going to return to her home country but the news will be announced around SummerSlam time...

WWE Smackdown 17/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

This show was miles better than last week's episode. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it was fantastic however, it was decent and most importantly, WATCHABLE. The show opened with all the superstars talking about what they're going to do on that episode.  "What does AJ even stand for" ? Matt Riddle asks (Allen Jones. It's Allen Jones, Matt).  Big E vs Cesaro. Winner Chooses Either A Tables Match Or A Steel Cage Match For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  A main roster show kicked off the episode with a MATCH!? That's rare. This bout was good. I would've liked the match to last just a tiny bit longer but again, a good match nevertheless.  Big E at one point locked in in a modified Brock Lock which is a move that I've not seen in many moons now. Due to Shinsuke Nakamura's interference, Cesaro nailed the neutralizer to win the match and the winner chose a tables match.  Because of the sheer talent, this t...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Chris Jericho Got ORANGE JUICED!?, The Most Emotional NXT Opening Segment To Date!?

Both episodes had a strong start but the ending was apples to tomatoes.  I had to think about it long and hard whether I prefer NXT or AEW this week and because of how lame Fight For The Fallen ended, I gotta go with the yellow brand on this one.   NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Keith Lee Walks As A Double Champion.  The crowd chanted "all bash at his glory" with passion and excitement as the always talented Keith Lee, now holds both the gold in NXT.  He then verbally brings up his late trainer, Tim Brooks and thanked him for being a father figure. Lee also thanked the NXT fans for believing in him since day one.  Lee mentioned that the locker room is hungry for an opportunity to face himself so he gave his so-called " frenemy ", Dominic Djakovic an opportunity to face Lee for both the NXT and the North American championship.  I f'ing loved this segment like what a way...

WWE RAW 13/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

I didn't like this show. Thankfully, this episode didn't pull a Smackdown but because of how well last week's show went, I felt really underwhelmed watching that.   MVP Lounge. Special Guest, Dolph Ziggler.  Montel Von Porter welcomed his guest that shares a common hatred for Drew McIntyre and that guest is, of course, Dolph Ziggler.  Ziggler compliments the new United States championship design to which MVP let him know that he'll talk to his people and get a new WWE championship design once the show-off, wins the championship (and honestly, Ziggler's got a point, the WWE Title needs a new design).  Dolph further tells MVP that he's the reason why Drew defeated Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania for the WWE title.  Out came the Scotsmen himself and he basically said that he'll beat the crap out of him and Dolph got a bit of that with a punch. An enjoyable segment.  The thing I kind of appreciate about this feud is that Dolph...

The 5 News Week: A Brand New NXT Championship Is Coming!?, Quick Thoughts On Smackdown Yesterday.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  And yes, It is a bit too early than the usual time that I post but I got things to do so why not, right? Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. A Brand New NXT Championship Is Coming!?  This past week's episode of NXT saw Keith Lee winning the NXT title, ending Adam Cole's 403-day reign as NXT champion in the process.  And now, Lee is a double champ and according to Belt Fan Dan (a reliable piece of news when it comes to wrestling title belts), he pretty much said that the NXT Championship will be bigger but with the same design.  It kinda fits especially for a guy like Keith Lee based on my imagination regarding how the title will eventually look like. Very curious as to how it looks because like anything, I may or may not like it.  A Follow Up Regarding WWE Allowing Fans ...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE RAW 6/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

This episode of RAW actually made me look forward to Extreme Rules and that's something WWE doesn't do all that well in recent years. It was a great effort by the powers that be.  Dolph Ziggler Picks The Stipulation For The WWE Championship At Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.  McIntyre is waiting for Dolph Ziggler to pick the stipulation for their championship match at Extreme Rules.  Drew got his wish as Dolph Ziggler said that Drew has been stabbing people in the back and that includes the person that Ziggler brought up but not verbally, Heath Slater.  In a very emotional promo, Slater told his former 3MB mate that he was there for Drew McIntyre when Drew was fired from WWE in 2014 but the Scotsmen wasn't there for Slater when he was fired this year.  So, the one-man-band challenged him to a match and the WWE champion accepted. How was the match?  It was a squash bout. Drew wins with the claymore to which Ziggler was pickin...
