WWE RAW 4/10/21 | A Coherent Review.

Since I've taken a few weeks off, Monday Night RAW has actually become more watchable in recent weeks.  It's like watching a decently written redemption arc (I don't want to be "a podcast starring a white dude that rants about WWE" but the show could go back to becoming the Hellmouth of television shows once again).  This was also the 2nd and final night of the WWE draft aka if a domain name generator was a TV segment. And, I'll quickly summarize the final draft:  Becky Lynch to RAW: Makes sense since Charlotte is on the blue brand.  The Usos to Smackdown: Paul Heyman is a happy boy after that pick.  Bob Lashley to RAW: Meh.  Sasha Banks to Smackdown: The reign of "IT'S BOSS TIME!" continues.  Seth Rollins to RAW: We're probably going to get another rematch between Rollins and Edge, right?  King Nakamura with Rick Boogs to Smackdown: Nakamura is skipping RAW once again. Cool.  Damian Priest to RAW: Please don't draft Sheamus to RAW.  She...

The 5 News Week: Keith Lee On His "Bear Cat" Persona.

Before I start this news week, I want to address my 2 viewers that read this site frequently. Massive apologies for the inconsistent content recently.  I wasn't feeling well (not Covid related, thankfully and yes, I did take the 5G super deluxe ultimate vaccine so you should too if you haven't already) and I had to put my life on pause for the recovery process to begin (not the Quantum Break type).  Part of me felt really sh*tty that I didn't provide my usual consistent reviews, news weeks and other forms of content to you guys (what I meant by "you guys" is JJ and probably my alt account reading this). Thankfully, the content grind is back if you're into a wannabe film critic like wrestling takes with bad jokes.  For those unaware, in this article, I write about the 5 major or minor news, rumours and spoilers. However, because I've been off creating content for 2 weeks, some of the topics this week are opinion based.  So, let's get it!  Quick Thoughts...

The 5 News Week: John Cena DOESN'T Want To Work With Another Wrestling Company!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Images via WWE.com John Cena DOESN'T Want To Work With Another Wrestling Company!?  Don't let my clickbaity headline writing skills that'll probably make Fightful writer, Jeremy Lambert jealous (that's a lie, Omar).  John Felix Anthony Cena did say that at a Florida Supercon during a Q/A session (more like, Florida Superspreadder am I riaght? Oh and s hout out to Andrew Thompson of Post Wrestling for the quotes ):  "There’s a whole like ‘never say never’ philosophy and I’m also that way in life because you never know what life will bring you. But, I can with certainty say no." Cena is a WWE company guy through and through.  But, at this point, John is such a big star (so big in fact that his latest line of mer...

WWE Smackdown 17/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

The blue brand executed an okay 2-hour program.  I ain't gonna ask you why and then slap my head multiple times because this isn't that type of review.  Images via WWE.com Paul Heyman Had Some Comments Regarding The Demon.  Those comments were about how Finne Baylor is afraid of Roman Reigns because he had to tap into his inner demons in order to face the Tribal chief.  Big E's music hits and after seeing the new WWE champion making his way to the squared circle, the word "intrigued" came to mind.  Oh, and the Irishman himself also showed up for reasons I do not mind because I too want that demon coming if you know what I mean.  All lame jokes aside, I thought the segment wasn't too special in its structure and format but it did spark a bit of a question on whether this is the end of the second brand split era.  The answer is I highly doubt it. The 6 man tag team match between the Bloodline and The New Day was a path to increase the overall ratings by ...

WWE NXT 2.0 14/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

NXT 2.0 or as I like to call it, NXT "I'M DIFFERENT" edition.  Let's get the positives out of the way. I like the set and the way it compliments NXT's new water multicolour look. In a world with main roster WWE and its giant screen, the presentation definitely stood out.  The entrance stage set also gave me a bit of a Wrestlemania 27 vibes and because of it, I'm always going to remind myself of that dogsh*t of a PPV so that's definitely a negative.  The main question is, Was the inaugural episode of NXT "third times the charm" edition any good?  Yes. The main thing NXT did right is how they showcase some of the newer faces on the brand.  There were a few head-scratching moments but as a whole, I enjoyed the episode.  Images via WWE.com Bron Breakker vs LA Knight.  We all know that Bron Breakker is an awful name (Bronson Rechsteiner was perfectly fine) but my God, that dude has the LOOK!   I mean, if I had to choose to rebrand myself in WWE, I...

WWE RAW 13/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

Ya boy took a week off of talking about wrestling which is something I usually need after watching a single episode of Monday Night RAW but consistency is key, people!  In recent weeks, however, Monday Night RAW doesn't feel like mental torture and the latest episode is no exception.  Images via WWE.com Big E Was Like, "I'm Definitely Cashing In My Contract".  The lovable wholesome gyrating big man name Big E interacted with Randy Orton as well as Bobby Lashley ahead of the WWE title match between Bob and Randal.  The reason is obvious. Big E wants to cash in seeing Becky Lynch's mother again (that's not it?).  All lame jokes aside, the big man did cash in the contract to become the NEW WWE champion later in the episode after a successful title defence from Bobby Lashley against Randy Orton.  Words cannot describe how f**king happy I am seeing one of my favourite performers finally capture the gold which was long overdue if you ask me.  I will go as fa...

Wrestling And The So Called "'Realism".

When was the last time you've heard a wrestling fan say, "wrestling is too unrealistic" or "wrestling is beyond believable"? If the answer is no, I wanna live in whatever dystopia you reside in because I envy your ignorance.  All wittiness aside, it is pretty common to hear pundits and fans say that the medium of their entertainment (pro wrestling, in this case) is too darn unrealistic.  Now, why is that? That depends on when professional wrestling or the specific style of pro wrestling came into their lives.  Some might have grown up in the "realistic sport" presentation that territories like the WWWF presented back in the 60s/70s. Others might have been brought up in the late 90s Attitude era Jerry springer/Vince Russo esque offering (uh, The Undertaker and Kane literally existed by then).  It's a weird discussion to have since I and the 3 people that read this, can put out the gazillion things in wrestling that are deemed "unrealistic...
