A Few News I Guess: WWE 2K22 Has FANTASTIC Gameplay??

Since this week's news is slower than the way Peacock buffers, I decided to deliver my 3 viewers here a few news, guess?  Saliva On WWE’s Unreleased Recordings.  We all can agree that Saliva was THE band for wrestling fans in the 2000s, right? If you said, "well, I like Trapt" then I should probably stay away from you.  However you feel about this topic, is up to the individuals. Sticking to the headline, Saliva's lead singer, Bobby Amaru revealed in a discussion with Reel Talker that they recorded a new version of Batista's "I Walk Alone" along with another track but it wasn't released (from WrestlingInc ):  "They had reached out about us doing something a couple years ago. “I think it had to do about re-recording ‘I Walk Alone’ and doing something else. We ended up re-recording ‘I Walk Alone’. So it’s done, we just haven’t released it.” This is why I hate corporations. A New Trademark For Edge?? Speaking of said corporation, they have filed a...

WWE Smackdown 13/8/21 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown this week was solid. It did its job of making me somewhat look forward to Summerslam.  Images via WWE.com John Cena Exchanged Some Words With Roman Reigns.  This opening segment was pretty much John Cena telling Roman Reigns that he'll slay the tribal chief at SummerSlam  (which I forgot is next Sunday).  The scene sounds generic but it was constructed in such a way that it stands out which in return made the segment all that unique (*cough, cough* CM Punk and Dean Ambrose).  John Cena's confidence and aggression are the ones to thank here which is something that was missing in him going back to the sudden rise of the so-called "cenation".  Roman Reigns aka "I hate boring sex positions"? Well, he's still f***king excellent.  The Street Profits vs Chad Gable And Otis.  A decent match. Some miscommunications between the referee and Alpha Academy is how The Street Profits picked up the victory.   King Shinsuke Nakamura vs Apollo C...

WWE NXT 10/8/21 | A Late Coherent Review.

I've been enjoying NXT for the most part since the show moved its date to Tuesdays.  But, with the mass release that happened this past Saturday, the way Karrion Kross' has been written (can't forget about Dakota Kai losing to Aliyah on Main Event) and how mediocre last week's episode of NXT was, the yellow brand is getting the opposite of the word "momentum".  And this episode kinda proved my point. This is, by far, one of my least favourite episodes of NXT in recent memory. Images via WWE.com   Sarray vs Dakota Kai.  Not a fan of Sarray losing here. Should've had someone else take the pin instead but to be fair, the NXT roster was thanosed. After Kai's win, Raquel Gonzalez showed up and warned the number one contender that she'll tear Dakota apart. Like I said in my previous NXT review, they should've done the "friendly exhibition" route instead of the sudden turn from Dakota.  This rivalry almost feels like I've seen them wrest...

WWE RAW 9/8/21 | A Coherent Review.

I'm back and I'm not better than ever because I watch Monday Night RAW and talk about it every single week.  But, this week's edition wasn't bad, it was just kinda there.  Images via WWE.com   You Hear Voices In Your Head? It's Probably Randy Orton Coming Back (so f**king corny, Omar).  Randy Orton returned to the red brand after a several week absence which I wouldn't blame you if you thought Orton was a bald Pedro Pascal for a second.  Orton wanted to have nothing to do with Riddle (I'm sure everyone is in agreement with that statement) and Riddle wasn't too thrilled about it.  Styles showed up to challenge Randal Keith Orton to a match on this very episode and Orton accepted it which led to a bit of a brawl.  Later in the night, Orton defeated the phenomenal one in a decent encounter. And then, Riddle ate an RKO. I've said this before in my reviews and I'm saying it again. WWE HATES friendships.  As far as where this storyline goes, I legit ha...

The 5 News Week: Everything YOU Need To Know About Adam Cole’s Status In WWE.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Some images via wwe.com Everything YOU Need To Know About Adam Cole’s Status In WWE.  By the time this article hits the interwebs, this piece of news will be outdated as f**k because SO many reports have been released left, right and centre regarding Adam Cole's status in world wrestling entertainment (yea, no sh*t, a**hole).  So, Let's summarize this bad boy. Adam Cole's contract expired after the 2021 edition of NXT's Great American Bash show this past July and agreed to extend his contract till Summerslam (from Wrestling Inc ).  Dave Meltzer of "I should think before I say something", has heard that Cole was offered a contract from "the best brand for white guys with wrestling podcasts", AEW while...

WWE NXT 27/7/21 | A Coherent Review.

NXT this week was a good show. It's just that it isn't as good as the previous ones.  Images via WWE.com Samoa Joe Requested 3 Things From William Regal.  In this segment, Samoa Joe was like, "Regal, sign these 3 contracts. One, I leave NXT management. Two, I join the NXT roster once again and three, I face Karrion Kross for the NXT championship at NXT Takeover: 36".  And the GM replied with a, "fine". I mean, this is an outcome that pretty much everyone saw coming and I'm fine with it.  Joe coming back to the squared circle is probably the most intriguing part about this whole thing.  In other words, Karrion Kross is getting a demotion in officially joining the main roster after Takeover: 36. Tommaso Ciampa And Timothy Thatcher vs Pete Dunne And Oney Lorcan.  A fine match for what it was. The bad guys picked up the clean victory to which the returning Ridge Holland showed up and literally took out both Ciampa and Thatcher with a shoulder tackle like it...

Recapping Jim Johnston's First Work In WWE.

We've all heard of the saying of "music brings joy in us". While it is a cheese pizza saying, the statement is 100% true especially in my case. One of my earliest childhood memories involved my parents playing 90s RnB and Hip Hop music on the car radio. After my wrestling fandom kicked in, I furthered my taste in music by listening to rock/heavy metal as well as some electronic dance music or EDM. Needless to say, I love music and professional wrestling has been incorporating music into their characters and shows for what feels like an eternity.  Now, music wasn't part of the pro wrestling mystic until the 1950s hit where Mildred Burke utilized music in her entrance. The same practice was also executed in the same decade by Gorgeous Geroge.  The 1970s was a period of time where a few pro wrestlers gave their shot as a musician.  "Classy" Freddie Blassie released an album in 1977 called "Blassie, King Of Men". The album utilized his promo mic skills...
