WWE Smackdown 13/8/21 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown this week was solid. It did its job of making me somewhat look forward to Summerslam.

John Cena Exchanged Some Words With Roman Reigns.

This opening segment was pretty much John Cena telling Roman Reigns that he'll slay the tribal chief at SummerSlam  (which I forgot is next Sunday).

The scene sounds generic but it was constructed in such a way that it stands out which in return made the segment all that unique (*cough, cough* CM Punk and Dean Ambrose).

John Cena's confidence and aggression are the ones to thank here which is something that was missing in him going back to the sudden rise of the so-called "cenation".

Roman Reigns aka "I hate boring sex positions"? Well, he's still f***king excellent.

The Street Profits vs Chad Gable And Otis.

A decent match. Some miscommunications between the referee and Alpha Academy is how The Street Profits picked up the victory.

King Shinsuke Nakamura vs Apollo Crews For The Intercontinental Championship.

The king has captured the gold and I am not surprised given that the sentence "clean victory" doesn't exist in Apollo Crews' entire reign as champion.

The crowd reaction proved that Crews' outdated and tiresome "foreign heel" character is just that.

Seth Rollins Said That Everyone Including Edge Should Thank Him.

"I'm not an a**hole, I'm just Italian" face

Why? Because, had Rollins didn't stomp the then retired Edge in 2014, the Rated R superstar wouldn't have the comeback tour and at SummerSlam, Rollins will not hesitate to put Edge down.

I loved the edited video of how Rollins is better than Edge in pretty much every possible way like how Edge joined the "brood" while Seth Rollins led the most dominant faction in WWE history in The Shield. It was just way too darn funny and fits Seth Rollins' character.

We all have been eyeing the possibility of this rivalry since Edge came out of retirement last year and we're finally going to witness it. I honestly cannot wait for the match at slamming summer.

Kevin Owens vs Baron Corbin.

Owens will give Corbin a 1000 bucks if Corbin wins this match otherwise he'll stop begging for money.

While I'm not the biggest fan of this storyline (mainly due to how over the top and silly it is for my taste), I do recognize the overall theme of it which is the fact that it pokes fun at rich people paying the consequences of the current economic system that they used to benefit from.

Baron Corbin's current arc isn't laughing at poor people contrary to what some people believe.

Now, I could talk about how suddenly Baron Corbin fell into poverty but this ain't CinemaSins.

On to the match itself and of course, Baron loses. Nothing surprising with that finish.

After the match, the dude stole the Money In The Bank briefcase from Big E because the word "Money" is what made him act like WWE after every earnings report or every dude into cryptocurrency.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode.

A fine match for what it was. No one is immune to the distraction but the Mysterios are the exception apparently as the good guys grabbed the W despite a titantron video of The Usos sarcastically cheering on Dominik.

Sasha Banks Brought In "Witnesses" For The Contract Signing With Bianca Belair.

Like every contracting signing, it started with trash talking and it ended with someone standing tall.

That's exactly how the segment was constructed minus the appearance of Carmella and Zelina Vega which I wouldn't mind a stable of some sorts between Banks, Vega and Carmella.

Other than the Rollins Edge match and the universal championship bout, I'm looking forward to this encounter mainly to witness a sequel of a great first act.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, The Seth Rollins Edge video package.

Didn't like: Nothing really.

Thursday is the return of talking about AEW Dynamite as well as its new series, Rampage called "THE Coherent AEW Take". That's right my 2 viewers (that joke never gets old), the Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays format is returning once again.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The State Of Wrestlemania 37.

I usually save those kinds of pieces for my weekly news series, The 5 News Week due to how modern this subject is and how my essays usually dwell on the past.  Usually, it is too early to talk about an upcoming Wrestlemania in October but not this time especially since we're still in a pandemic.  This is a topic I've been thinking about all month and I had to write my thoughts on it.  Let's answer this question right away whether Wrestlemania 37 will happen in SoFii stadium next year?  from CBS Los Angeles The answer is an obvious no. But, I want to try to dig deeper and see exactly where we stand today.  As of me writing this, Wrestlemania: Hollywood edition is still scheduled to take place in SoFi stadium despite an outlet that shall not be named, claiming otherwise.  This is either sheer blind optimism or downright idiotic from Dubya, Dubya E.  WrestleVotes did mention back in July that while the event is still going to take place in the stadium,...
