Some Other News: How Did WWE Backstage Do In The Ratings?

Given that it's a slow news week, I decided to only talk about two wrestling interesting wrestling stories of the week. Le. go.  WWE Backstage Overall Viewership.   The debut episode of "WWE Backstage" was actually entertaining that has a mix of modern sports talk show with a bit of a fun MTV like live show.  Now, how did it hold up in the ratings? From Showbuzz Daily, the inaugural episode did 597,000 viewers with a .20 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.  That program did better than The Daily Show on Comedy Central but I'm sure some of you guys are not shocked by that.  Triple H "Blown Away" By Tyson Fury's In-Ring Training.  Triple H recently talked with the guys over at Bleacher Report and during the interview, the COO of WWE talked about how he was "shocked" at Tyson Fury's in-ring performance.  "I was blown away. I sent Vince (McMahon) a video of him about 45 minutes after the first day he was at the Pe...

WWE Smackdown 18/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

If you like filler episodes, this show is for you. The rest of us? Well, it's skippable, to say the least.  Roman Reigns vs Shinsuke Nakamura.  This match was okay with a generic ending to set up a match. Thanks to Corbin's sceptre, Shinsuke Nakamura retains the intercontinental championship and the bad guys stopped a returning Daniel Bryan from evening the odds for the big dog.  The New Day was disturbed when Otis drank a pancake batter with protein powder in a backstage segment. Kofi might tease a possible heel turn based on his "happy" face but that could completely not mean anything.  Also, something that happened backstage, Kalya Braxton asked Corbin why he has attacked Roman Reigns and Corbin with a smile on his face, walked off.  Chad Gable vs Curtis Axel.  After Gable's win, he was asked by Kayla about his height. Gable says that he has embraced his height and decides to *sigh* shorted his last name to G. Hence, his new na...

My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Djakovic vs Lee Delivers Once Again, Darby Allin Showing Off His Athleticism.

via AEW. I know technically this is the third week of NXT and AEW's Dynamite airing at the same time but it's my second week because I skipped last week's showdown due to personal reasons.  Will see how Dynamite and NXT TV did this week my coherent wrestling Wednesdays.  NXT  Highlights.  Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch vs Imperium.  This was a straight fast-paced action. So many suicide dives from Lorcan later and Lorcan, unfortunately, ate a double team manoeuvre powerbomb position into an uppercut from Imperium and they won the match. A very entertaining match, yes indeed (why does it sound like what The New Day would say?).  An Io Shirai And Rhea Ripley Stare Down. Io won her match with Kayden Carter and then, Rhea Ripley came out and told the genius of the sky that Ripley has no problem shutting Shirai's mouth. That stare down alone was great and Ripley is going to face Bianca Belair on next week's episode so I'm excited abou...

WWE RAW 14/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

The draft aspect of this show like last Friday was underwhelming and the show itself was pretty good. Two fun matches and a very confusing plot twist in the third hour.   Also, I wanna give Impact Wrestling a big shout out because their big PPV in Bound For Glory was sold out.  That promotion has its ups and its downs that it's worth a Netflix like documentary series. And it's nice to see some positive news from them. Now, on with the review.  Becky Lynch Talks About Sasha Banks' Replacement.  The RAW women's champion started off this show by telling the audience that she was disappointed that The Man can't give Sasha Banks a beating tonight like Hell In A Cell.  Charlotte Flair came out not to counter what Lynch said but rather she wanted to be Becky's friend (that's nice). There's a saying that "don't trust a Flair" or at least a version of that saying and Charlotte immediately gave The Man the forearm which led to a ...

The 5 News Week: Master P Buying House Of Glory!?, NXT TV To Air In Different Arenas!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week . Sorry for not posting in two days. Just some personal stuff I gotta deal with and my Coherent Wednesdays review was a bit rushed and I want to nail it in a no pun intended, coherent matter if that makes any sense? Hopefully, my reviews will get better in the coming weeks.  Master P Buying House Of Glory!?  A great example of human beings having an unpredictable nature to them (ask Vince McMahon), Master P was interviewed somewhere in Manhattan and he announced that he has brought an independent wrestling promotion based in New York called House Of Glory or HOG which was founded by Brian XL and Impact Alumni Amazing Red in 2014.  PWInsider and Mike Johnson gave an update to this story stating that Master P will deliver the "muscle and production team" goi...

WWE RAW 7/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

This episode was something I've not felt in weeks on the red brand and the feeling was boredom for the most part. That show was also skippable.  So much so that I thought of not reviewing this episode but there were things I actually liked so I want to talk about that too.  Rusev vs Randy Orton.  The match hasn't started because Randy Orton and Baron Corbin were ganging up on Rusev but a strange (Bobby Lashley) familiar foe to Rusev, was at his house and chilled in Rusev's bed.  Lana joined the fun and Rusev took his frustrations by beating up Orton and Corbin hard. I'm glad that Rusev showed some aggression which I was worried that he wouldn't.  The only thing I could critique about this whole thing is that we don't get to hear Lana's side of the story as to why she cheated on Rusev? Lana was once loyal to her man and now she just turned the other way to end her relationship. Hopefully, they actually address that in the coming w...

WWE Hell In A Cell 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Such a shame that I actually liked this show but that ending made it into an okay show. Also, I made a sick graphic for the 2019 edition of the destructive structure in Hell In Cell and it led to a terrible ending. And the sad thing is, I thought long and hard about whether this ending made sense or not and it turns out it didn't in my opinion. Oh, and I didn't watch the preshow so I can't talk about it. Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks For The RAW A Women's Championship.  That match was unlike Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel in some aspects, an actual highlight reel that is an essay worth article because it's a fantastic opener. Sasha delivered three double knees on a ladder, through a table and on a steel chair with kendo sticks at the bottom of that steel chair.  The match ended with a disarmher and Sasha desperately tried to grab a steel chair but Lynch bent her arms so badly that the boss had no choice but to tap out and unintentionally gave The Man ...
