My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Djakovic vs Lee Delivers Once Again, Darby Allin Showing Off His Athleticism.

via AEW.
I know technically this is the third week of NXT and AEW's Dynamite airing at the same time but it's my second week because I skipped last week's showdown due to personal reasons.

Will see how Dynamite and NXT TV did this week my coherent wrestling Wednesdays.

NXT

Highlights.

Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch vs Imperium.

WWE Photo
This was a straight fast-paced action. So many suicide dives from Lorcan later and Lorcan, unfortunately, ate a double team manoeuvre powerbomb position into an uppercut from Imperium and they won the match. A very entertaining match, yes indeed (why does it sound like what The New Day would say?).

An Io Shirai And Rhea Ripley Stare Down.

WWE Photo
Io won her match with Kayden Carter and then, Rhea Ripley came out and told the genius of the sky that Ripley has no problem shutting Shirai's mouth. That stare down alone was great and Ripley is going to face Bianca Belair on next week's episode so I'm excited about that as well.

Keith Lee vs Dominic Djakovic Number One Contenders Match For The North American Championship.

WWE Photo
Aka the John Wick of the now Keith Lee vs Dominic Djakovic trilogy of matches, they have nailed the rubber match. Keith Lee delivered a fantastic sitout powerbomb to Djakovic (a great sell from Djakovic).

Dominic Djakovic just got countered from an electric chair into a poisonrana however, minutes later, Roderick Strong made a dumb decision by attacking Djakovic leading to a North American Championship triple threat match next week on the USA network due to a DQ finish.

Who doesn't want to see that match unfold am I right?

A Message From Finn Balor.

Balor has cut his best promo in years by simply saying that his future will be his past next week. It was short in length but sweet in consumption.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Tommaso Ciampa vs Angel Garza - a decent match basically a showcase of Ciampa as a performer. After Ciampa won his match with a DDT via the ropes, The Undisputed Era came out and just stared at him.

Tegan Nox vs Taynara - Tegan gave Taynara the shiniest wizard. Unfortunately, Shayna and the gang interrupted her shin by telling her that Nox hasn't earned an NXT women's championship opportunity given that Tegan asked for a title shot in her interview with Cathy Kelly after her match.

A lot of women have called her out for a title shot. Does it mean that we're getting the first-ever women's war games match? We shall see.

Matt Riddle vs Bronson Reed - Matt Riddle showed his strength in this match including a package driver to win this match.

Killian Dain vs Boa - Boa gave Dain a series of strikes but Dain slowed his momentum with a series of senton's. Dain won his match with a camel clutch.

Pete Dunne vs Damian Priest - Pete Dunne has put the Archer Of Infamy over with a low blow followed by a. Decent stuff from both men.

AEW

Highlights.

Cody Rhodes' Feels Empty Despite Being The Face Of AEW.

This promo package about Cody Rhodes needing to win the AEW championship to complete his face of AEW persona is great. Shout out to the production guys for that.

Britt Baker D.M.D vs Riho For The AEW Women's Championship.

I really liked this exchange even though their women's division is lacking. Riho won her match with a roll-up to Britt Baker. It looks like we might get a rematch but that cut be scrapped.

The Jurassic Express In Jungle Boy And Marko Stunt vs The Lucha Brothers. AEW Tag Team Championship Quarter Finals.

Something that AEW is not lacking is their tag team division and so is this match. Marko Stunt started off this match with a suicide dive to Pentagon jr.

His brother Fenix delivered a dive of his own this time a spinning dive on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy then countered that moments later with a reverse snap slam to Fenix.

Speaking of snapping, Pentagon Jr snapped Stunt's arm leading to a package piledriver tag team manoeuvre from the Lucha Bros followed by a win from the siblings. The tournament is now heating up.

Kenny Omega And Hangman Adam Page vs Jon Moxley And Pac.

A fun main event to watch if you ask me because you kinda did just by reading this review. To quote in the style of being the elite, "Kenny's V triggers party" (yea, that doesn’t have a ring to it).

Thanks to Jon Moxley hitting the DDT to Pac, Adam Page hits the modified package driver to win this match.

Chris Jericho vs Darby Allin For The AEW Championship.

This is a Philadelphia street fight which means no counts and unlike one match, this encounter has no disqualifications. Chris Jericho retains his title with the help of Jake Hager by pushing Allin without the ref's knowledge.

While I thought that the match was decent, Darby Allin was the highlight of this match so that counts.

Some Other Things That Happened.

SCU vs Best Friends. AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter-Finals - One half of SCU in Christopher Daniels, unfortunately, was out of the equation due to an attack from the Lucha Brothers.

Scorpio Sky instead volunteered to wrestle on behalf of his Buddy Daniels along with a beat-up Frankie Kazarian.

Despite the beat down earlier, SCU advances in the tournament with a double team manoeuvre to Trent Barreta. Decent stuff.

Santana And Ortiz vs Alex Reynolds And John Sliver - The duo from New York, NY won the match with a double team manoeuvre powerbomb position followed by a neckbreaker.

Chris Jericho then cut a promo in the titantron basically putting over the winner of that match and himself obviously.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
