Some Other News: How Did WWE Backstage Do In The Ratings?

Given that it's a slow news week, I decided to only talk about two wrestling interesting wrestling stories of the week. Le. go.

WWE Backstage Overall Viewership.

The debut episode of "WWE Backstage" was actually entertaining that has a mix of modern sports talk show with a bit of a fun MTV like live show.

Now, how did it hold up in the ratings? From Showbuzz Daily, the inaugural episode did 597,000 viewers with a .20 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

That program did better than The Daily Show on Comedy Central but I'm sure some of you guys are not shocked by that.

Triple H "Blown Away" By Tyson Fury's In-Ring Training.

Triple H recently talked with the guys over at Bleacher Report and during the interview, the COO of WWE talked about how he was "shocked" at Tyson Fury's in-ring performance.

"I was blown away. I sent Vince (McMahon) a video of him about 45 minutes after the first day he was at the Performance Center, and I said, 'You're not going to believe this, look at what he's already doing.'

"He picks it up so quickly because he's so laser-focused on it. He wants to put on this epic show. He has the desire for it to be great. He's asking for more; he wants more; he's jumping in with both feet. It's almost like having to pull the reins back a little bit to get him to slow down and say, 'maybe we don't want to do that quite yet.' It's amazing to see that level of dedication."

And that’s all. Keep an eye on a versus essay coming out in the next week or so. What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE RAW 16/8/21 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another L for the red brand in terms of overall quality. And they do not need that L considering that it's the final show before this year's SummerSlam event.  Images via WWE.com   Randal Keith Orton And Riddal Are Back Together?  Randy explained his actions last week, stating that he simply doesn't owe anyone an explanation because he's Randy Orton (okay?).  Out came the most obnoxious person in Riddle and he wanted RKBRO to reunite. Styles showed up to hype up his big goof in Omos.  That RKO last week was as confusing as the thought of Jupiter Ascending being a "good movie".    The question is, did the band realigned themselves once again?  The answer was a soft no if you stopped watching the show after the Riddle and AJ Styles match (I don't blame ANYONE that stops watching Monday Night RAW).  However, that became a solid yes after Randy's bout with Omos. Am I the only one that feels kinda mid about this?  It's not terri...

WWE Smackdown Live 3/9/19 | My Coherent Review.

A pretty decent Smackdown Live episode considering that Smackdown Live has been RAW 2018: blue edition in recent weeks so I'm surprised that the episode was not terrible.  Bayley And Sasha Are Tired Of Being Humble. Well, Sasha Banks Is But Not Bayley Yet.  Bayley came out smiling as if nothing happened with some mixed reactions from the crowd. Bayley apparently doesn't get it because she's been humble with her best friend and she basically states that she's not the bad guy and never will be the bad guy (will see about that).  After Bayley talks about how Charlotte is selfish, out came the queen and she says that Charlotte is the queen of selfishness with no hugging but Sasha Banks came out before the queen was going to say about what she's going to do at Clash Of Champions.  Charlotte kicks the Smackdown women's champion and Sasha brawled with Charlotte which led to Bayley hitting Flair with a series of chair shots before Banks got her turn. ...

The 5 News Week: Everything YOU Need To Know About Adam Cole’s Status In WWE.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Some images via wwe.com Everything YOU Need To Know About Adam Cole’s Status In WWE.  By the time this article hits the interwebs, this piece of news will be outdated as f**k because SO many reports have been released left, right and centre regarding Adam Cole's status in world wrestling entertainment (yea, no sh*t, a**hole).  So, Let's summarize this bad boy. Adam Cole's contract expired after the 2021 edition of NXT's Great American Bash show this past July and agreed to extend his contract till Summerslam (from Wrestling Inc ).  Dave Meltzer of "I should think before I say something", has heard that Cole was offered a contract from "the best brand for white guys with wrestling podcasts", AEW while...
