Some Other News: How Did WWE Backstage Do In The Ratings?

Image result for wwe backstage
Given that it's a slow news week, I decided to only talk about two wrestling interesting wrestling stories of the week. Le. go.

WWE Backstage Overall Viewership.

The debut episode of "WWE Backstage" was actually entertaining that has a mix of modern sports talk show with a bit of a fun MTV like live show.

Now, how did it hold up in the ratings? From Showbuzz Daily, the inaugural episode did 597,000 viewers with a .20 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

That program did better than The Daily Show on Comedy Central but I'm sure some of you guys are not shocked by that.

Triple H "Blown Away" By Tyson Fury's In-Ring Training.

Triple H recently talked with the guys over at Bleacher Report and during the interview, the COO of WWE talked about how he was "shocked" at Tyson Fury's in-ring performance.

"I was blown away. I sent Vince (McMahon) a video of him about 45 minutes after the first day he was at the Performance Center, and I said, 'You're not going to believe this, look at what he's already doing.'

"He picks it up so quickly because he's so laser-focused on it. He wants to put on this epic show. He has the desire for it to be great. He's asking for more; he wants more; he's jumping in with both feet. It's almost like having to pull the reins back a little bit to get him to slow down and say, 'maybe we don't want to do that quite yet.' It's amazing to see that level of dedication."

And that’s all. Keep an eye on a versus essay coming out in the next week or so. What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

WWE Wrestlemania 36 Night One | A Coherent Review.

When they announced that Wrestlemania was going to take place in two nights, I was hesitant mainly because I prefer a single show with meaningful matches and not the exact opposite spanned between two shows.  So far, the wrestling Gods proved me wrong. Wrestlemania 36 Night número uno was a great show. WWE gave me an escape that is desperately needed especially in this unique circumstance and I'm sure some of you guys feel this way too. As a tradition on this site, I haven’t seen the pre-show match so I can’t talk about it. Now, on with the review.  Before the show, Stephanie McMahon stated the usual thing. You know "in these times, we will entertain you". They then had the compilation of all the singers that sang America the beautiful which is actually pretty cool.  That led to this year's pirate-themed Wrestlemania opening and it was unique obviously but what makes it different is the humour in it which was fine.  The Kabuki Warriors vs Alexa Bliss And Ni...

The 5 News Week: Master P Buying House Of Glory!?, NXT TV To Air In Different Arenas!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week . Sorry for not posting in two days. Just some personal stuff I gotta deal with and my Coherent Wednesdays review was a bit rushed and I want to nail it in a no pun intended, coherent matter if that makes any sense? Hopefully, my reviews will get better in the coming weeks.  Master P Buying House Of Glory!?  A great example of human beings having an unpredictable nature to them (ask Vince McMahon), Master P was interviewed somewhere in Manhattan and he announced that he has brought an independent wrestling promotion based in New York called House Of Glory or HOG which was founded by Brian XL and Impact Alumni Amazing Red in 2014.  PWInsider and Mike Johnson gave an update to this story stating that Master P will deliver the "muscle and production team" goi...
