The 5 News Week: Master P Buying House Of Glory!?, NXT TV To Air In Different Arenas!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. Sorry for not posting in two days. Just some personal stuff I gotta deal with and my Coherent Wednesdays review was a bit rushed and I want to nail it in a no pun intended, coherent matter if that makes any sense? Hopefully, my reviews will get better in the coming weeks.

Master P Buying House Of Glory!?

A great example of human beings having an unpredictable nature to them (ask Vince McMahon), Master P was interviewed somewhere in Manhattan and he announced that he has brought an independent wrestling promotion based in New York called House Of Glory or HOG which was founded by Brian XL and Impact Alumni Amazing Red in 2014.

PWInsider and Mike Johnson gave an update to this story stating that Master P will deliver the "muscle and production team" going forward and Brian XL will remain the head creative of HOG.

Master P is no stranger to the world that is professional wrestling, the rapper has appeared in WCW back in 1999 even leading a stable called the "No Limits Soldiers".

The reason why I'm familiar with the promotion is that Jason Solomon of the Solomonster Sounds Off podcast mentions HOG whenever he's announcing a big wrestling hangout event so that's cool.

Also, I highly recommend reading an article from MTV's website about the person that wrote the article's experience training with House Of Glory. It's a good read and you can click here to read it.

The Rock Congratulates The Guy's Over At NWA.

The National Wrestling Alliance recently aired their weekly show called "NWA Power" (which is actually very good) and one of if not the busiest person in Hollywood The Rock gave his thoughts on the show that honours the old school.

Later Jim Cornette actually responded to him by thanking him for his time to watch NWA Power.  It's always great to report on positive news.

Where Has Samoa Joe Been!?

Easy answer, he suffered an injury. A broken thumb to be exact according to Mike Johnson and PWInsider. He's currently waiting for his return inside the ring.

The last time he's been on TV was the triple threat King Of The Ring semi-finals match between himself, Ricochet and Baron Corbin several weeks back.

NXT TV To Air In Different Arenas!?

That could be a possibility right? Well, the answer is obviously yes but let's dive into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter' story about this (shout out to WrestlingInc for the quotes).

WWE officials are searching for 5,000 seat arenas similar to the arenas AEW has been airing from and have reached out to some of them that are fit to air on Wednesday nights.

Vinnie Mac (Vince McMahon for you slow mofos) has been speculated that he would see how AEW has performed in their arenas and see how Full Sail looks in comparison (if that isn't the most Vince McMahon thing I've ever read).

The yellow brand to air in different arenas has been in discussion well before the ratings for the first USA network show came out but speculations say that the discussion happened before the move to USA was even made public.

In other words, it was AEW's influence on airing Dynamite on TNT that made WWE's best brand to air on the USA network. NXT has aired episodes in different arenas before but in a much smaller setting. We shall see how the crowd reactions will be different in a good or bad way.

A Former Viceland International Chief Joins WWE's International Business.

WWE has hired a qualified candidate to run WWE's global business and that person is James Rosenstock (Who? Who? Who? Who?).

He has been working as the president for Viceland International overseeing their content in countries like India, Brazil, the Middle East among others. He also oversaw the acquisition for Eurosport in his tenure as executive vice president of Discovery Inc.

Judging by his body of work, it's a good hire for WWE to oversee their international business.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
