The 5 News Week: John Cena DOESN'T Want To Work With Another Wrestling Company!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Images via WWE.com John Cena DOESN'T Want To Work With Another Wrestling Company!?  Don't let my clickbaity headline writing skills that'll probably make Fightful writer, Jeremy Lambert jealous (that's a lie, Omar).  John Felix Anthony Cena did say that at a Florida Supercon during a Q/A session (more like, Florida Superspreadder am I riaght? Oh and s hout out to Andrew Thompson of Post Wrestling for the quotes ):  "There’s a whole like ‘never say never’ philosophy and I’m also that way in life because you never know what life will bring you. But, I can with certainty say no." Cena is a WWE company guy through and through.  But, at this point, John is such a big star (so big in fact that his latest line of mer...

WWE Smackdown 17/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

The blue brand executed an okay 2-hour program.  I ain't gonna ask you why and then slap my head multiple times because this isn't that type of review.  Images via WWE.com Paul Heyman Had Some Comments Regarding The Demon.  Those comments were about how Finne Baylor is afraid of Roman Reigns because he had to tap into his inner demons in order to face the Tribal chief.  Big E's music hits and after seeing the new WWE champion making his way to the squared circle, the word "intrigued" came to mind.  Oh, and the Irishman himself also showed up for reasons I do not mind because I too want that demon coming if you know what I mean.  All lame jokes aside, I thought the segment wasn't too special in its structure and format but it did spark a bit of a question on whether this is the end of the second brand split era.  The answer is I highly doubt it. The 6 man tag team match between the Bloodline and The New Day was a path to increase the overall ratings by ...

WWE NXT 2.0 14/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

NXT 2.0 or as I like to call it, NXT "I'M DIFFERENT" edition.  Let's get the positives out of the way. I like the set and the way it compliments NXT's new water multicolour look. In a world with main roster WWE and its giant screen, the presentation definitely stood out.  The entrance stage set also gave me a bit of a Wrestlemania 27 vibes and because of it, I'm always going to remind myself of that dogsh*t of a PPV so that's definitely a negative.  The main question is, Was the inaugural episode of NXT "third times the charm" edition any good?  Yes. The main thing NXT did right is how they showcase some of the newer faces on the brand.  There were a few head-scratching moments but as a whole, I enjoyed the episode.  Images via WWE.com Bron Breakker vs LA Knight.  We all know that Bron Breakker is an awful name (Bronson Rechsteiner was perfectly fine) but my God, that dude has the LOOK!   I mean, if I had to choose to rebrand myself in WWE, I...

WWE RAW 13/9/21 | A Coherent Review.

Ya boy took a week off of talking about wrestling which is something I usually need after watching a single episode of Monday Night RAW but consistency is key, people!  In recent weeks, however, Monday Night RAW doesn't feel like mental torture and the latest episode is no exception.  Images via WWE.com Big E Was Like, "I'm Definitely Cashing In My Contract".  The lovable wholesome gyrating big man name Big E interacted with Randy Orton as well as Bobby Lashley ahead of the WWE title match between Bob and Randal.  The reason is obvious. Big E wants to cash in seeing Becky Lynch's mother again (that's not it?).  All lame jokes aside, the big man did cash in the contract to become the NEW WWE champion later in the episode after a successful title defence from Bobby Lashley against Randy Orton.  Words cannot describe how f**king happy I am seeing one of my favourite performers finally capture the gold which was long overdue if you ask me.  I will go as fa...

Wrestling And The So Called "'Realism".

When was the last time you've heard a wrestling fan say, "wrestling is too unrealistic" or "wrestling is beyond believable"? If the answer is no, I wanna live in whatever dystopia you reside in because I envy your ignorance.  All wittiness aside, it is pretty common to hear pundits and fans say that the medium of their entertainment (pro wrestling, in this case) is too darn unrealistic.  Now, why is that? That depends on when professional wrestling or the specific style of pro wrestling came into their lives.  Some might have grown up in the "realistic sport" presentation that territories like the WWWF presented back in the 60s/70s. Others might have been brought up in the late 90s Attitude era Jerry springer/Vince Russo esque offering (uh, The Undertaker and Kane literally existed by then).  It's a weird discussion to have since I and the 3 people that read this, can put out the gazillion things in wrestling that are deemed "unrealistic...

A Few News I Guess: What's With The Rumour Of "Kevin Owens Leaving WWE After His Deal"!?

This article is short but the news this past week was slow so I had to deliver a few news, I guess?  Quick Thoughts On AEW All Out 2021.  All Out 2021 was one hell of a darn show, my peeping peeps!  Who the F is surprised that The Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers stole the show!? This might just be one of the best tag team matches I've ever seen in my life.  CM Punk held himself so f''ing well with crazy emo kid, Darby Allin. Chris Jericho used the MAG……..I mean the liontamer to win the match against MJF.  Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole showing up at the end, wasn't something I saw coming.  Imagine telling me at the start of the so-called, "Wednesday Night War" that the then NXT champion would jump ship to AEW?  The same can be said for the wholesome white dude, Bryan Danielson.  AEW Got BIG Plans For Cody Rhodes!?  Cody Rhodes aka wrestling's white saviour has big plans lined up by AEW as a result of his encounter with Malaki Black at least if ...

WWE Smackdown 2/9/21 | A Coherent Review

Smackdown this week was nothing too special as per usual in recent weeks.  Images via WWE.com   The Street Profits vs The Usos.  A match that should've been good but it ended so darn abruptly (via a DQ due to Jey Uso beating up Montez Ford even though Jey isn't the legal man in the match) that it gave me nothing but disappointment.  Do you know who's also disappointed? Roman Reigns and he wanted Heyman to bring his cousins.  Speaking of Paulie E Dangerously, the dude got a call from Brick Lacquer (with a ring tone that sounded like it came from a Nokia 2300 and not a Goddamn IPhone) and Heyman fearfully told Reigns that the "real man's man (Steve Regal reference)" is coming to MSG on next week's episode.  The plot is getting intriguing by the minute and I'm glad that they weren't shy about that given that Reigns for a week or so, had a program with Finn Balor.  Becky Lynch Doesn't Want To Face Bianca Belair Immediately.  Why? Because that's...

WWE NXT 31/8/21 | A Coherent Review.

The yellow brand might be the multicolour brand soon. I'm curious, where are the people that don't see colour, think about this change, huh?  All lame jokes aside, this is the weekly coherent NXT review and I thought the episode was just fine.  Images via WWE.com Sarray vs Mandy Rose.  Mandy Rose looked impressive in this bout. Rose "had a broken face" and was escorted to the backstage area while the ref counted to 10.  As a result, Sarray won the match via a count-out. I wouldn't mind a rematch between those two women.  Kyle O'Reilly vs Duke Hudson.  Call me shocked but I never knew before last week or so that Duke is an Aussie. I assumed that he's a Floridian or something (did you just assume that all tanned white dudes are from Florida? That's problematic, Omar!).  Hudson tapped out of the kneebar from Kyle O'Reilly. Cool.  Ilja Dragunov was like, "Hey, I'm a champ now". Nice.  Santos Escobar told Carmelo Hayes to stay out of the N...
