The 5 News (Mid) Week: AEW Dynamite Cutting To AN HOUR!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  An Update On Becky Lynch's Injury. Becky gave an update on her shoulder injury in a livestream on Instagram (from WrestlingInc ): "I feel like I've gotten much more mobility in it [her shoulder], When it happened, it was so painful that I was, like, 'Oh no, I'm gonna be out for a long, long time.' But now, it's healing up real quick. I'm feeling strong, I'm feeling good. So, I'm hoping it won't be much time at all."  Here's hoping!  AEW Dynamite Cutting To AN HOUR!?  As a guy currently writing a whole college research paper, creating multiple short clips for the podcast (hit that 5 stars you dumb sons of b*tches) and dealing with work, this has to be the most excellent news I've ...

The 5 News Week: NXT UK In TROUBLE!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Former WWE Writer On Backstage FEARS Coming From VINCE MCMAHON!?  On an episode of Freddie Prinze Jr's "Wrestling With Freddie" Podcast (I know it's a week or so old, sorry), his co-host Jeff Dyke noted regarding the fear Vince McMahon had created backstage and James Vega was like, "yea, that's true" (from WrestlingInc ):  "I can confirm that, I've heard that from a ton of people already." In other news, Italians hate anything garlic related in their food.  Who Does Ciampa Want To Work With On RAW?  The answer is a lot of guys telling Wrestling Inc :  "There's a plethora of guys I want to have programs with — not just matches, like programs: AJ Styles, and Finn Balor, and Kevin Owe...

WWE RAW 1/8/22 | A Coherent Review.

With Triple H making some changes for the overall WWE creative process and the end of the "Jeff Jarrett weekend", I gotta make some changes as well (at least for the site) because this is going to be the last solo RAW review since I'm going to combine both of my thoughts on RAW and Smackdown called "the cohesive WWE perspective".  So yeah, how was RAW? Well, It was one of the best episodes I've seen in a VERY long time. I guess no more, " RAW Is as insane and bad as the current season of Riverdale" jokes, right?  Becky remembered who she was during her encounter with Bianca Belair.  That promo ruled and as a guy that didn't like her heel run all that much since her comeback last year, I gotta say that I'm glad she's going back babyface due to the fact that heel Bex was so vanilla for my liking.  After Bianca showed some respect to the man, the new trio known as Io Sky, Dakota Kai and Bayley attacked Becky's injured shoulder.  They a...

WWE Summerslam 2022 | A (first PPV review since Wrestlemania) Coherent Review.

I've been so inconsistent with my content this year with me posting way less stuff than in my almost 4 years of inserting fart jokes in every piece (to the point where I haven't reviewed a PP….. Excuse me, PLE since this year's Wrestlemania) and I'm so sorry for that, my bot accounts and a particular head of PR.  With all of the BS out of the way, how was Summerslam? Almost 2 years ago, WWE produced one of the best Summerslams despite the sheer circumstances. Last year's? Not so much.  The *looks at the quarterly earnings* $90 million dollar question is, did this year's show deliver like Summerslam 2020 or was it a stinker like Omos' wrestling ability? It was somewhere in the middle like Dolph Ziggler's career but felt longer than an AEW PPV. But, if I had to give it a thumbs up or down, it's an easy thumbs up.  Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch For The RAW Women's Championship.  Those ladies delivered once again. The KOD on the barricade was *chef...

THE Inconsistent Coherent AEW Take: All Red Barbed Wire Everything.

The Coherent AEW recap. The only series where the word "consistency" is the equivalent of saying bloody Mary 3 times. And look guys, both AEW shows weren't all that bad aka a typical Tuesday.  Rampage.  Highlights.  Private Party vs Lucha Bros.  Oh, you know this match had a lot of SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS (in the taking some punches kinda way and not in the sense of drinking alcohol because I'm a halal boy).  The match was a little too short for my liking but it was sweeter than a peach-flavoured iced tea. Lucha Bros took the W here which means more rankings.  Some Other Things That Happened.  House of Black defeated the Dark Order's John Silver and Alex Reynolds - Something tells me that AEW needs a trios championship (no f**king sh*t, Omar).  Statlander and Athena defeated Renegade Twins - At least Athena's WWE main roster run included a several-month undefeated streak on RAW. This entire feud ain't it for her, the TBS championship and Jade Ca...

WWE RAW 11/4/22 | A Coherent Review.

12345, Monday Night RAW still sucks me dry (that was terrible but not as bad as Gudda Gudda infamous "I got her grocery bag" line).  This show had so many tag team matches, I thought for a second that Teddy Long was running the program.  Brock Lesnar Showed up, Spoke To Paul Heyman And Then Destroyed Alpha Academy.  Headline said everything. The line of "the one streak that Brock can't compete" referring to him not ending Roman's 700-day reign at Summerslam was perfect. As A matter of fact, that entire promo from Heyman was, no shocker, pretty good.   Damian Priest Called Rey Mysterio Old And Wanted Eddie's Son To Join The Judgment Day.   Not gonna lie, Finn Balor's promo on Rey being a bad father was the exact opposite of Heyman's promo in the opening segment.  Balor then faced "the bad father" Rey Mysterio, and it was fine.   The man with, unfortunately, the black tights won the match with the coup de grace.  No Shocker, A Becky D...

WWE Smackdown 8/7/22 | A Coherent Negative Review.

1234, Smackdown on Fridays are still a bore (for the most part at least).  Theory Messing With Roman Reigns After Paul Heyman's Promo.  How long do you think that Theory will pull a Baron Corbin circa 2017? As far as the segment itself before the Money In The Bank winner showed up, it was fine. Nothing too noteworthy in my opinion.  The Viking Raiders vs Shanky And Jinder Mahal.  Like the opening segment, the match wasn't memorable (Viking Raiders defeating Shanky and Mahal with a double powerbomb) but their newfound aggression (by laying waste on The New Day) is something they should've had since their main roster debut a few years ago.  I like it because the more I forget about the segments they had with The Street Profits, the better.  Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ludwig Kaiser.  A mostly one-sided match for the former IC champion and because of it, Nakamura defeated Kaiser with the Kinshasa.  After the match, Gunther gave Kaiser some discipline ...
