WWE Fastlane 2021 | A Coherent Review.

Fastlane 2021 was…. Good? It had a disappointing start but after 2 and a half hours, I came out of watching this show with a somewhat satisfying feeling.  Oh, and I'm finally glad to see that Retribution is no more.  Images via WWE.com   Sasha Banks And Bianca Belair vs Nia Jax And Shayna Baszler For The Women's Tag Team Championship.  A match that didn't need to happen but alas. The build for the Banks and Belair bout at Wrestlemania is disappointing, to put it nicely.  The women's tag team championship wasn't needed for Banks and Belair to create some miscommunications between two opponents.  As far as the match itself, I thought it was aight.  Thanks to Banks and Belair's lack of communication, Baszler quickly pinned Banks to retain the tag belts (yay for the women's champion getting pinned).  After the match, Sasha Banks slapped Bianca Belair, calling the 2021 women's Royal Rumble match winner a "rookie".  At least the focus of the build ...

The 5 News Week: Yet Another Update Regarding NXT Moving To Tuesdays.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.   Some Images via wwe.com Leyla Hirsh Signed With AEW All The Way Back In October? Leyla Hirsh is an extraordinary talent that I assumed was signed recently based on the official announcement from the man with a great Bernie Sanders impression, Tony Khan.  However, in a virtual signing for High Spots Wrestling Network , Hirsh revealed that she was signed with the elite brand all the way back in October (shout out to Andrew Thompson of Post Wrestling for the quotes): "I don’t even know if I’m allowed to say any of this but, my first week on Wednesday night, I faced [Hikaru] Shida [on AEW Dark] and that was great and then there was an incident with — there was a match that was supposed to happen with the girls and it didn’t because there was an injury and then th...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Thunder Rosa vs Britt Baker AKA The BEST TV Match In Years!?

How good was that AEW Dynamite main event this week, am I right?  That match alone is why I prefer AEW Dynamite over NXT this week.  NXT did pull off a good show so overall, it was a fun 4 hours of pro wrestling.  Images via WWE.com   NXT   Highlights.  Austin Theory vs Dexter Lumis.  Look, if you guys have been reading my stuff for quite some time then y'all know how I feel about Austin Theory. I gotta admit though, this bout was actually really fun to watch. Austin's modified neckbreaker was f'ing cool.  The big odd guy wins here which is not a surprise.  Kyle O'Reilly Threatens Adam Cole. Why? Well, Cole actually tried to end his career and Cole told William Regal who was in the stage area that he's going to find O'Reilly himself because O'Reilly isn't in the CWC.  Moments later, both guys are arrested by cops and Regal has an announcement regarding Cole and O'Reilly's animosity.  It sounds like we're getting a street fight ...

WWE RAW 15/3/21 | A Coherent Review.

Another mediocre episode of Monday Night RAW that provided nothing that would at least intrigue me going into Wrestlemania.  Images via WWE.com Drew McIntyre Has Some Words For The Almighty.  Before Drew McIntyre squares off with The Miz, McIntyre congratulates Bobby Lashley for the WWE title victory and is sympathetic with Bobby Lashley's journey to get to the top.  However, the Scotsmen warned Lashley that he'll take that championship come Wrestlemania.  Lashley then attacked McIntyre to which The Miz attacked McIntyre.  It wasn't noteworthy or anything but this segment was aight.  Now. You thought that Drew is actually going to lose to The Miz? WWE will never have their challenger lose (if you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic).  Drew won with the Full Nelson submission which is obviously sending a message to Bob Lashley.  Braun Strowman Challenged Shane McMahon To A Match Later In The Episode.  Strowman told Shane O that he's been bullied b...

The 5 News Week: WWE Hitting The Road Once Again!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.   Some Images via WWE.com Johnny Ace Back On Being The Talent Relations For WWE.  John Laurinaitis returning as the talent relations for world wrestling entertainment aka big f**king yikes.  From F4WOnline and Dave Meltzer , Johnny is *sigh* back on the talent relations side of WWE and will be reporting to WWE's executive vice president of operations, Brad Blum.  The article did go on to mention that the talent relations side division has been split into "talent management and talent branding".  Fightful select has some additional information on this story about the backstage reaction of the news and pretty much, some of the talents weren't too happy with the news.  Keep in mind that WWE hasn't officially confirmed this news.  I don't ne...

WWE Smackdown 12/3/21 | A Coherent Review

Like Monday Night RAW this past week, Smackdown was a skippable show for the most part that didn't do much for me regarding Fastlane.  Unfortunately, It was really underwhelming.  Images via WWE.com Edge Reflects On Both Daniel Bryan And Roman Reigns.  The headline above is pretty much the gist of the promo but Edge did bring up some of the quality of pro wrestlers he's faced throughout his tenure.  Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring and he respects Edge but his focus wasn't on the ultimate opportunist.  Edge, while also sharing mutual respect, doesn't like how Bryan came up to the universal title scene and that's how the opening segment ends.  Nothing to write home about. I will say, Daniel's promo was pretty good mainly due to his sheer passion.  Overall, this was decent.  The Street Profits, Rey And Dominik Mysterio vs Otis, Chad Gable, Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode.  It's odd to see Dolph Ziggler and Otis teaming together given that t...
