Another decent show that was given to us by WWE and this time it was from the blue brand. With SummerSlam in less than two weeks, WWE performed a decent effort creative wise on building matches and storylines going into the biggest party of the summer.  The show kicked off with Shane McMahon cutting a selfie promo saying that he's not going to be on this episode of Smackdown Live and also said that he will defeat Kevin Owens at SummerSlam. I don't want to know the reason as to why he can't show up because as long as he's not on RAW to Smackdown, I'm satisfied.  Opening segment.  You know who's also glad that he's not on SmackDown Live? There were decisions being made on this show that I would've done it differently if I was on their spot but as a whole, this show was decent and unlike last week's episode, it actually made some progress going into Summerslam.  Drake Maverick and Renee Michelle vs R Truth and Carmella. 24/7 championship. Lumberjack Match.  First off, that intro about the 24/7 title was great. Shout out to the production guys for that. Also, mosh pit? Isn't this a lumberjack match? Anyways, the match ends quickly with a reverse suplex from Truth and then, The rest of the roster (yes, all of them) pinned R Truth to which Mike Kanellis of all people won the match.  He then went inside the WWE officials' room and Maria Kanellis knocked on that door. Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.   WWE Getting A Fresh New Start For The Network.  When the WWE Network launched 5 years ago (holy crap, 5 years?), it was a blessing and it's still is to this day. Fans have already said hello to WWE's little price friend of 9.99 dollars a month (that was surprisingly not corny) and ditched the routine of buying WWE PPVs for 40 to 50 dollars (unless you're a bar owner to which I say, I feel ya).  Now, WWE has announced a fresh interface for the network that has already launched as of writing this. Here's a statement from WWE about this quote:  "WWE Network has been updated this week with a sleeker design, simpler navigation and smarter search tools to help you enjoy all of WWE’s award-winning programming". I really enjoyed this episode of Monday Night RAW but it's also sad that WWE can't deliver a good show without the help of the legends. Not that they haven't delivered a good show with the current roster but take the legends out, the show was pretty much skippable but I understood why it was considering that it's really hard to put current storylines in a reunion themed show.  If you wanna get nostalgic for almost 3 hours then this show is for you but if you want storyline progression then this ain't it.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with John Cena and it feels weirdly nostalgic when his music hits. John said that he's so excited to be here because so many legends of the past are showing up and also joked about how the fans are finally nice to him.  The Usos came out and they wanted the Doctor Of Thugnamocis. I didn't feel anything about this show overall besides one very good match and an impactful debut. Here's why.  Matt Riddle vs Arturo Ruas.  Those two guys have a background in MMA so it was really interesting as to how the match turned out. Started out with some technical wrestling which if you've been a follower of this blog then you'll know how much I LOVE technical submission wrestling.   The match ended with Matt Riddle delivering a series of rights and the ref stopped it which means that Matt won the match. After that, a masked man revealed as Killan Dan was beating the crap out of him and it was so bad that Mauro Ranallo screamed "Mamma Mia" on top of his lungs which is pretty rare. I actually really liked this. It's a different way to debut somebody and insert that person quickly in a feud instead of having that superstar wrestle in so many squash matches which I don't mind if they went in that route.  The Street Profits
