WWE NXT 17/7/19 | My Coherent Review.

I didn't feel anything about this show overall besides one very good match and an impactful debut. Here's why.

Matt Riddle vs Arturo Ruas.

Those two guys have a background in MMA so it was really interesting as to how the match turned out. Started out with some technical wrestling which if you've been a follower of this blog then you'll know how much I LOVE technical submission wrestling.

The match ended with Matt Riddle delivering a series of rights and the ref stopped it which means that Matt won the match. After that, a masked man revealed as Killan Dan was beating the crap out of him and it was so bad that Mauro Ranallo screamed "Mamma Mia" on top of his lungs which is pretty rare.

I actually really liked this. It's a different way to debut somebody and insert that person quickly in a feud instead of having that superstar wrestle in so many squash matches which I don't mind if they went in that route.

The Street Profits had their Street Talk about what happened at the end of last week's episode and they basically said that they're gonna keep those titles and not even Undisputed Era are going to take the tag team championship.

Dexter Lumis vs Bronson Reed.

WWE Photo
Lumis is rocking the "Stranger Things" inspired theme music which surprisingly fits. The match overall was slow at first but did pick up once Lumis showed some athleticism in this match. That match has ended with a splash from Reed and won the match.

Tyler Breeze had some verbal interaction with the Forgotten Sons. It was funny that Breeze called Jaxson Ryker as "Buddy Murphy" you know, because Murphy and Wesley Blake were a tag team at one point.

Kushida vs Apollo Crews.

It's great to see Apollo Crews back in NXT and he, by the way, got a standing ovation from the full sail crowd. The match itself was very good and a great example of why Crews is so good in the ring.

Kushida threw Apollo from the top rope into an armbar which looked great. The match ended with Kushida putting Apollo into a kimura lock.

Keith Lee is going to face Damian Priest which I'm not gonna lie, I wish it wasn't Keith Lee that's taking an L but it is what it is.

Adam Cole Calls Out One Of Johnny Gargano's Buddies.

WWE Photo
Cole called out Twan Tucker (who's the mentor for Johnny Gargano at a wrestling school in Cleveland) and gave him an opportunity to fight with the NXT champion without his Undisputed Era members. Tucker said that unlike Adam, he's not alone and Johnny Gargano rushed to Adam Cole and just like Matt Riddle earlier, Adam was a victim of a vicious attack even not letting go of the Gargano escape.

I thought that we're going to get an actual match but I was surprised. This was a decent replacement and that's all I gotta say about that.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Kushida vs Apollo Crews, Killian Dain showing up.

Didn't like: Nothing.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

NXT Takeover: 30 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...
