WWE Smackdown Live 30/7/19 | My Coherent Review.

Another decent show that was given to us by WWE and this time it was from the blue brand. With SummerSlam in less than two weeks, WWE performed a decent effort creative wise on building matches and storylines going into the biggest party of the summer.

The show kicked off with Shane McMahon cutting a selfie promo saying that he's not going to be on this episode of Smackdown Live and also said that he will defeat Kevin Owens at SummerSlam. I don't want to know the reason as to why he can't show up because as long as he's not on RAW to Smackdown, I'm satisfied.

Opening segment.

KO sarcastically states that we can all band together to get through an edition of SmackDown LIVE that doesn̢۪t include Shane McMahon.
You know who's also glad that he's not on SmackDown Live? Kevin Owens and he told Shane O' Mac that this is the Kevin Owens Show. Out came Drew McIntyre aka the modern-day Joey Abs of The Mean Street and Joey I mean Drew, delivered him with a straight right and that's how the match below came about.

I have no investment in this segment or this feud. Their 2017 feud started off pretty rocky and ended up being one of the best feuds of that year so who says that feud won't be enjoyable, to say the least?

Kevin Owens vs Drew McIntyre.

This was a decent encounter. Kevin Owens delivered a great senton and another senton immediately after the commercial breaks were over and done with. Kevin took out Drew McIntyre with the stunner and his momentum going into Summerslam lives on.

Kayla Braxton interviewed Dolph Ziggler about his actions last week (which I didn't review last week's episode but my quick thoughts on it, it was decent) and he said that the old thing must go and he's gonna teach Finn Balor a lesson.

Aleister Black's Back And Said What?

Aleister Black did his sitting in a dark background cutting a promo thing and he asked himself of him writing the next chapter of his career. Black is not patient this time on finding somebody to quote "catch on what it is he's trying to do for me (talking about himself of course)."

Does this mean that he needs a companion or something? I haven't heard somebody talk so much yet grab on so little on what he is trying to say.

Bayley and Ember Moon vs Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

WWE Photo
In this match, Alexa Bliss pinned the NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE SMACKDOWN LIVE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP!! Alexa doesn't need that win I'll tell you that much.

Also, if they want to protect Bliss then why Moon couldn't pin Nikki Cross instead? It's these things that really bother me, man.

Sarah Schreiber asked Sami Zayn about what brings him on SmackDown Live? Sami Zayn said that he's looking for competition and he proposed a match between himself and Aleister Black at SummerSlam. So, Aleister should be happy I guess?

Kayla Braxton interviewed Daniel Bryan about his career alternating announcement and Bryan said nothing. Don't know what they're going with this considering that this is his second time that he didn't tell what that announcement is.

The King's Court. Special Guest, Trish Stratus.

The WWE Universe chants “one more match,” and Trish doesn’t think there will ever be a time where she doesn’t have that itch, but she knows she has her mom duties.

Jerry Lawler asked his guest in Trish Stratus about if she wants to wrestle her last match? She answered by saying that she's a busy mom.

Out came Charlotte Flair and she challenged Trish to a match at SummerSlam. Trish stayed silent and Charlotte Flair told her to go back and change diapers. Trish finally said something by calling Flair a "bitch" and accepted Charlotte Flair. Should be a good one. I think this is an opponent for Charlotte Flair that doesn't involve a championship match so that's nice.

Finn Balor vs Dolph Ziggler.

Finn Balor caught the "babyface gets distracted flu"  by "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Dolph Ziggler superkicks him to win this match. Bray Wyatt still looks awesome on every appearance on every single week.

Ali vs Shinsuke Nakamura.

Ali actually pinned the champion so it looks like we're getting a rematch at SummerSlam. Even though this match was okay, the rematch SummerSlam will be better or at least I hope so.

Randy Orton had his "inside the mind of the viper" segment and it pretty much summarizes the feud between the WWE champion and his challenger. This is the best storyline going into Summerslam and probably one of the best wrestling stories of the year so Kofi is 2 with great storylines this year.

Kofi Kingston vs AJ Styles.

WWE Photo
I really like this match and I hope this is not the last time they face each other. By the end of the match, Kofi took out the rest of the O.C and minutes later, delivered the trouble in paradise to AJ Styles countering the phenomenal forearm which looked amazing.

After the match, Roman Reigns was supposed to tell us who's he going to face at SummerSlam and he miraculously survived a falling steel barrier that went on him.

Besides Kayla's poor acting performance in this segment, I was thinking as to who actually did it and right now, my money as to who did it is on either Elias or Drew considering that he helped Owens deliver a stunner to Shane McMahon.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Kofi Kingston vs AJ Styles, Inside the mind of viper segment, Shane McMahon not being on this show enhanced the show.

Didn't Like: Ember Moon eating a pinfall.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
