WWE RAW Reunion Show | My Coherent Review.

Image result for ric flair
I really enjoyed this episode of Monday Night RAW but it's also sad that WWE can't deliver a good show without the help of the legends. Not that they haven't delivered a good show with the current roster but take the legends out, the show was pretty much skippable but I understood why it was considering that it's really hard to put current storylines in a reunion themed show.

If you wanna get nostalgic for almost 3 hours then this show is for you but if you want storyline progression then this ain't it.

Opening segment.

The Cenation Leader reminds the WWE Universe of all the Hall of Famers and Legends who will be here tonight.
The show kicked off with John Cena and it feels weirdly nostalgic when his music hits. John said that he's so excited to be here because so many legends of the past are showing up and also joked about how the fans are finally nice to him.

The Usos came out and they wanted the Doctor Of Thugnamocis. They got their wish and Cena did a rap about their arrest. The Usos brought up their father in Rikishi with Grand Master Sexay's theme song and Rikishi told Cena not to leave fast and furious (okay, that was clever).

And D-Von Dudley is with them!
The Revival showed up to spoil the fun and they called up D-Von Dudley. Meanwhile, Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart were talking backstage about the legends showing up on the reunion show. That was an odd way to end the segment but it was decent though.

The Usos vs The Revival.

WWE Photo
This was the weakest of The Usos Revival matches but it wasn't bad to watch not at all. The Usos pinned the tag team champions with the splash Samoan style.

Alicia Fox was talking to Dana Brooke until she saw Torrie Wilson and Santino Marella. Drew McIntyre saw those guys and said with a disgusted look on his face "legends". Okay, since when Alicia Fox is a legend? Was I off the loop or something?

Drew McIntyre vs Cedric Alexander.

WWE Photo
The match didn't happen because of Drew McIntyre and he destroyed Alexander and hits him with the reverse Alabama slam after a couple of offence by Cedric.

R Truth and Carmella were interviewed by Charly Caruso and she asked about their time in San Diego Comic-Con and Drake Maverick's wife showed up and that distracted Truth. That distraction helped Drake Maverick win the 24/7 title. Then, The Godfather showed up and danced with Chary Caruso.

Drake's celebration lasted really short because he lost the title from Pat Patterson after Drake was distracted by The Bogie man aka one of the worst wrestlers I've ever witnessed as a child.

After Mike Kanellis got "damned" by Ron Simmons, Pat Patterson lost the 24/7 title from Gerald Brisco and then immediately lost it to Kelly Kelly. The RAW Reunion has benefited the most with the 24/7 championship and I really, really, really like it.

The Viking Raiders vs Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

WWE Photo
The Viking Raiders won this bout here. I wish they would compete with an actual tag team next time but that's just me.

Samoa Joe vs Roman Reigns.

WWE Photo
Before the match, Samoa Joe cut a promo about how he hates RAW Reunion because of that thing called nostalgia. Roman Reigns came out to the ring and Samoa Joe "wanted to say something" and he said that to get a cheap shot to the big dog and that's exactly what happened.

Roman Reigns retaliated back with the superman punch. Samoa Joe did the "I wanna face you but I really don't" cliche but unlike most heels, he actually changed his mind. The match itself was fine. Roman Reigns won the match with the spear. Samoa Joe taking Ls like it's candy.

Miz TV. Special Guest, Seth Rollins.

WWE Photo
Miz asked Seth about Brock Lesnar and he replied by mocking him, calling Lesnar "a Godzilla looking bastard".

Paul Heyman in the gorilla position said that Brock is Seth's dose of reality. Seth then warned him to stomp him in 5 seconds to which Paul ran like when your father showed up for an ass-kicking. Seth's intensity is probably the best part about this but I'm not on board with a Brock vs Seth match so far.

WWE Photo
Candice Michelle won the 24/7 from Kelly Kelly then Michelle lost the title from Alundra Blayze aka Madusa.

Sami Zayn vs Rey Mysterio.

WWE Photo
The match came about after Zayn was basically disrespecting the legends until Rey Mysterio showed up and said that it isn't cool to do that. They actually had the best match of the night and that's not saying much.

Sami Zayn tried to leave the match entirely to which Rob Van Dam, Sgt. Slaughter, Hurricane and Kurt Angle came out on the stage area. Rey then hits the 619 and won the match. Sami Zayn basically got a taste of what Heath Slater has been through 7 years ago.

Oh, and Ted Dibiase actually won the 24/7 championship by buying the title before the former champion was going to throw the championship in the trash can.

Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles.

WWE Photo
During the match, D Generation X in Triple H and Shawn Michaels came out to even the odds. The match ended in a DQ because of Anderson and Gallows and then, the entire rest of DX along with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash showed up. The OC eventually left and Seth said the famous DX catchphrase and that's "suck it".

Ted Dibiase lost the title from Drake Maverick and he ran from the rest of the roster chasing him but he lost the title again from R Truth and his wife and they left the area with a limo ride.

Also, Bray Wyatt showed up and did the claw to Mick Foley so that was cool.

Moment Of Bliss. Special Guest, Becky Lynch.

WWE Photo
The Moment of Bliss turned into a brawl between Natalya and Becky Lynch. This is a different kind of babyface vs babyface feud and I appreciate that.

Braun Strowman vs Local Jobber.

WWE Photo
We apparently went back in time to mid-2016 when Braun Strowman was squashing jobbers. Awesome.

A Toast To Monday Night RAW.

WWE Photo
All of the legends that appeared on the RAW Reunion were on the stage area and Hulk Hogan thanked the crowd for the memories. Stone Cold Steve Austin rushed to the ring, drank his beers and thanked everybody from the production guys to the fans.

That was a great toast and it's one of the best endings of the year so far. Yes, nostalgia does play a factor but it was nice to see those guys even though the show was skippable storyline wise.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: The 24/7 stuff, the nostalgic factor, Bray Wyatt showing up, Becky Lynch vs Natalya brawl.

Didn't like: Without the legends the show was skippable. Really, a Braun squash match?

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

Will Hobbs. Professional Wrestling's Powerhouse

"What's the most powerful house you can think of? Perhaps a bungalow, something that's low, unshakable, that kinda thing? ” Hey Ew, 2022 Think of the greatest big men in the history of the business. Big Van Vader who represents pure unadulterated aggression that seamlessly benefits his ferocious in-ring style ( see his match with Mitsuharu Misawa for more information).  Bam Bam Bigelow who's unpredictability inside the ring like his flying headbutts and moonsaults has made him spectacular to watch.  The Undertaker who have built a sense of aura by masterfully marching down the ring, creating anticipation in the process as well as constructing an expression of a man who hates video games and wants “men to be like men” .  And then there's Powerhouse Will Hobbs. A man who I believe in years to come is the heir apparent to the throne of “greatest big men in wrestling” and for good reason. Mr “I Break Backs Like Bane” possesses a power that belies his exuberance.  Why ...
