The 5 News Week: WWE Getting A Fresh New Start For The Network, Fans Understandably Frustrated Over The Booking For The Women's Division.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

WWE Getting A Fresh New Start For The Network.

When the WWE Network launched 5 years ago (holy crap, 5 years?), it was a blessing and it's still is to this day. Fans have already said hello to WWE's little price friend of 9.99 dollars a month (that was surprisingly not corny) and ditched the routine of buying WWE PPVs for 40 to 50 dollars (unless you're a bar owner to which I say, I feel ya).

Now, WWE has announced a fresh interface for the network that has already launched as of writing this. Here's a statement from WWE about this quote:

"WWE Network has been updated this week with a sleeker design, simpler navigation and smarter search tools to help you enjoy all of WWE’s award-winning programming".

Gotta say the updated interface looks pretty good. It's easier to navigate and you can tell that they've been listening to the feedback based on how the search results have improved drastically.

On the Q2 earnings on Thursday, WWE or more specifically George Barrios, has made mention that a free tier of the network will be coming first then a premium tier second and hopes that both tiers will be released in the next 12 months.

Barrios did not tell whether the free tier will be running ads or how limited the ads will be? Either way, I will keep an eye on this.

A Possible New Name For WWE's New Tuesday Show On FS1?

We all know that a show about everything WWE will hit our television screens on FS1 this fall. Now, the company has filed a trademark last week called "After The Bell". There's no official wording as to whether it's for this particular show or not but there are speculations out there that it is.

Renee Young is rumoured to host that show which I talked about that back on the June 16th edition of The 5 News Week. I hope that it's not a standard recap show like an Afterburn or Experience and more of a Talking Smack like show (speaking of WWE experience, where the hell did Jack Korpela disappeared?)

Triple H Has Reportedly Met With Dragon Gate.

From The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and Uncle Dave, Triple H has met with executives from Dragon Gate and officials from Stardom and the reason is quite obvious. I'll explain it to all of you slow mofos.

WWE is looking to invest in the Japanese market just like any other business that wants to expand their product or service globally. The question is, will WWE create an "NXT Japan"? Yes? Maybe? No? Let me know in the comments.

Eric Bischoff Reportedly Invested A Lot Of Time With WWE Creative Team.

If you are a fan of mine then you'll know that I didn't post a Smackdown or an NXT review because my internet went down. What I can tell you about the blue brand is that Eric Bischoff was behind the scenes on the recent Smackdown Live show but there wasn't any change being put out there.

From PWInsider and Mike Johnson, Eric has spent a lot of time talking to the creative team and they (the PWInsider team) were told quote:

"All sides are taking their time to transition Bischoff in so that he can familiarize himself with the company and how it operates.''

Fans Understandably Frustrated Over The Booking For The Women's Division.

How did the complains came about? On the recent episode of Monday Night RAW, there was a Moment of Bliss segment that featured a brawl in the end between Becky Lynch and the number one contender in Natalya that lasted for a few minutes.

Fans took it to Twitter to air their frustrations and the hashtag "giveWWEwomenachance" was born. Now, with the help of pro wrestling fandom's information of how long the matches were, I've compared the women's matches all the way back to the last three weeks.

As you can tell, the numbers are really depressing. Will WWE listen this time? Anything is possible but I highly doubt that.

FUTURE ME!!: I accidentally typed in the wrong total RAW and Smackdown match times. The total number for Smackdown is 18:07 while RAW is 31:28. My bad y'all.

Check out Bell To Belles's article on that topic because it's a good read duh?

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

My Coherent Predictions On: Money In The Bank 2018

Money in the bank has THE WORST buildup of 2018 so far (at least on the RAW side). Is it going to be worst than RAW this past few weeks or possibly backlash?  Will find out this Sunday but anyways on with the predictions Sami Zayn vs Bobby Lashley What can I say about this feud? ● No meaning behind it. ● No meaning behind it. ● And why's Bobby Lashley promo last night sounds like bubbles from powerpuff  or something? Nevertheless, It's a shame that both lashley and zayn are given a shitstorm of a storyline considering that their better than this. WINNER : Bobby Lashley. Bludgeon Brothers vs Luke Gallows And Karl Anderson WOW! Another match I don't give two fucks about. However if they want to make the show intriguing and unpredictable then I'll put the belts on....   WINNER: Gallows and Anderson. Big Cass vs Daniel Bryan. WWE made the right call in my opinion on moving big Cass to smackdown because he...

WWE Survivor Series 2019 | My Coherent Review.

The Survivor Series shows as of a few years has gotten better in terms of overall positives and I thought that this year will be no exception. It pains me to say this but the 2019 edition of Survivor Series was just okay. A few highlights but overall, not an offensive 3 ½ hours of wrestling to watch, to say the least. Oh, and I haven't seen the pre-show matches so I can't talk about it.  Team RAW In Kabuki Warriors, Charlotte Flair, Natalya And Sarah Logan vs Team Smackdown In Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans And Sasha Banks vs Team NXT In Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Candice LeRae, Io Shirai And Toni Storm. Women's Survivor Series Match.  Io Shirai and Kairi Sane delivered some quick moves earlier in the match. Brooke delivered an impressive rolling Senton to Shirai. Given that LeRae and Io were hurt, they were both eliminated. Bianca Belair got rid of two women.  One, it was Nikki Cross with a roll-up and the other was Sarah Logan with a 450...

WWE NXT 24/4/19 | My Coherent Review.

This was a meh episode of NXT. If this is the first time that somebody watches NXT with this episode then you'll have a hard time convincing that particular person to watch another episode you know what I mean?  The Forgotten Sons’ Jaxson Ryker vs Humberto Carrillo.  I don't watch 205 live but I'm loving every time Humberto wrestles. The match ended in a double count out because Ryker was beating the crap out of Carrillo until Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan showed up to save the young luchador. Not a fan of the Forgotten Sons but this feud for some reason made me wanna watch those two teams fight and I don't know why exactly.  After that, Adam Cole was asked backstage in a photo shoot about the Roderick Strong vs Johnny Gargano match until Matt Riddle showed up and said that it's his turn which led to Adam Cole leaving the shoot.  Aliyah and Vanessa Bourne vs Candice LeRae and Kacy Catanzaro.  This was okay. The team of Candice LeRae and Kacy Cat...
