The 5 News Week: What’s With Dave Meltzer’s Report On Low PPV Buys For Stomping Ground?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. Yes, I haven't reviewed or watched Fyter Fest because I had an EXTREMELY busy day. Might watch it at some point.  Jinder Recently Underwent Knee Surgery.  Jinder Mahal has been greatly utilized in the 24/7 championship scene even capturing the title on 2 different occasions. The modern-day Mahalrrrrrrrrraja took to Instagram and said that quote "surgery went well". View this post on Instagram On the mend. Ruptured my Patella Tendon in Denver Colorado June 15 in a match against @aliwwe . Happy to say surgery went well, and my knee was better than expected. This comeback is going to be legendary. A post shared by Raj Dhesi / The Maharaja (@jindermahal) on Jun 28, 2019 at 8:57am PDT He ended

WWE NXT 26/6/19 | My Coherent Review.

This was a decent episode with a shocking ending. Find out about my thoughts on the ending by scrolling down at the end.  Joaquin Wilde aka DJZ vs Angel Garza aka Humberto Garza.  This episode of NXT kicked off with the first round of the NXT Breakout tournament if you can't tell from reading the heading above. I'm familiar with DJZ because of his days in TNA when I used to watch Impact. Nigel made mention that Angel Garza is actually cousins with Humberto Carrillo. During the match, Garza took off in what I thought was his wrestling tights and showed off his wrestling trunks instead which was funny. The match ended with Angel Garza delivering a butterfly stunner minutes after he hit a Spanish fly from the top rope and won the match. Didn't expect this win but this match was a banger. A good kind of banger (okay. That just sounded weird).  Then, Damian Priest was interviewed outside the arena about his impressive debut match and Priest simply said tha

This show was one big meh. A bit of a spoiler if you scroll down at the end of my review but there was nothing I loved or hated it about this episode.  Opening segment.  We went from an angry Shane McMahon talking about The Undertaker to the New Day showing up which is like your daily routine you know. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to work or school etc.  Kofi said that he took a leap of faith (referring to his dive to the outside at Stomping Grounds) and made mention of Samoa Joe’s brutal attack to him last night.  Just so you thought that the feud between Kofi and Dolph Ziggler is over, out came the Show-Off and he said that Kofi is going to face him in a 2 out of 3 falls match and if Ziggler wins then he's added in the Kofi vs Samoa Joe match. Making it a triple threat match. Like I said in my RAW review (which you can click here ), a superstar beating up another superstar who's a champion just to get a championship opportunity while I don't mind th

WWE RAW 24/6/19 | My Coherent Review.

First two hours? Not bad. That third hour other than the main event? Pretty bad. This was a meh show overall that had a hopeful start. By The way, It's odd that a firefly funhouse segment didn't air.  Opening segment. The show kicked off with Seth Rollins after he ruffled some feathers with his tweets about the overall WWE product. He talked about his title victory and then, his real-life girlfriend in Becky Lynch came out to support him.  Seth Rollins sarcastically told her that she interrupted him and also said that he has the best backup plan referring to Lynch.  Baron Corbin's music hits and Lacey Evans from behind, sought attacked Lynch while Corbin showed up to beat up Rollins which failed and Baron Corbin proposed a mixed tag team match between the heel team and the babyface team at Extreme Rules for both the RAW women's championship and the Universal Championship.  However, Becky proposed a stipulation that if they lose then no more cham

I was one of those rare creatures that actually was looking forward to this PPV and had higher expectations. This show kinda exceeded expectations for me because this show was very good if not great. I know this is a trend in this blog but I haven't seen the preshow match unfortunately which was a cruiserweight championship match so I can't talk about it.  Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans for the RAW Women's championship. Tacoma, Washington doesn't like Lacey Evans at all in this matchup (no shit, Omar). Didn't expect this match to open the show, to be frank with you.  The match itself was solid. Lacey Evans pretty much dominated this match but Becky managed to get in some offence like an armbar to Lacey or a disarmher if you're Michael Cole. The match ended with an actual disarmher from Becky and she retained the RAW women's championship.  After the Match. An Ali video package was played about him showing the light to people. This was aight

This episode was okay. Nothing really happened besides some announcements for next week's show and beyond.  The Rest Of Undisputed Era Celebrates Adam Cole's Big NXT Takeover Victory.  Adam Cole now being the 16th NXT champion, said that he told us so and he has fulfilled his prophecy. Cole also said that he's going to remake the NXT universe into an Undisputed image. Did he unveil that image to the world? Well, it's not an image really but rather he shows us the NXT opening intro featuring the Undisputed Era only which was badass I must say.  Adam Cole gave a warning to the North American champion and the NXT Tag Team Champions that they should shine those belts real nice. Speaking of The North American, out came the Velveteen Dream. The Dream said that the NXT Championship would look nice with his North American championship.  After Roderick Strong gave a lame response with "Dream on", Matt Riddle showed up and said that he's a s

Another win for WWE main roster TV. This was a very good show and it's because of those shows, I'm actually excited for Stomping Ground. Click here if you wanna read my review for Monday Night RAW last night.  Opening segment.  This show kicked with The New Day while I really like The New Day, them opening Smackdown feels repetitive at this point but it is what it is. Xavier Woods started to promote Kofi's match with Dolph this coming Sunday.  When Big E was about to reveal what he's going to do on the final hour, Dolph Ziggler showed up and said that Kofi doesn't deserve to be champion and how he relies on The New Day for his success. Kofi Kingston said "hold up, hold up" and mentions that he's been in a cage but in a different cage aka the Elimination Chamber and promises Ziggler that he's going to defeat the show-off.  Dolph Ziggler replied by saying that he's gonna beat Kofi and that title should be his. The way Zi
