WWE Smackdown Live 25/6/19 | My Coherent Review.

This show was one big meh. A bit of a spoiler if you scroll down at the end of my review but there was nothing I loved or hated it about this episode.

Opening segment.

He also remembers Samoa Joe’s savage assault from the night prior.
We went from an angry Shane McMahon talking about The Undertaker to the New Day showing up which is like your daily routine you know. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to work or school etc.

Kofi said that he took a leap of faith (referring to his dive to the outside at Stomping Grounds) and made mention of Samoa Joe’s brutal attack to him last night.

Just so you thought that the feud between Kofi and Dolph Ziggler is over, out came the Show-Off and he said that Kofi is going to face him in a 2 out of 3 falls match and if Ziggler wins then he's added in the Kofi vs Samoa Joe match. Making it a triple threat match.

“You took the coward’s way out and leaped out the door to save your title,” Dolph says.

Like I said in my RAW review (which you can click here), a superstar beating up another superstar who's a champion just to get a championship opportunity while I don't mind that troupe, is EXTREMELY lazy writing in this case because that's how Dolph got a title match.

It's like when a TV show uses the same plot device over and over again. You can't rely on that troupe whenever you're looking for new challengers because you gotta come up with other ideas to make that medium innovative but what do I know?

The New Day in Xavier Woods and Big E vs Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

WWE Photo
This was a decent match. The ⅔ of The New Day won the match with the midnight hour and then, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were putting a mugging on The New Day until Heavy Machinery showed up and took out Owens and Zayn. You know what that means.... A quick 8 man tag match. The babyface won the match with The Compactor.

The Miz vs Elias.

WWE Photo
This match came about after Miz requested a match against Shane to Elias for some reason outside Shane's office and minutes after Miz left, Shane accepted that but he made that match a 2 out of 3 falls match in the sense that if he beats Elias then he faces Shane McMahon or at least that's what I took from watching that segment?

WWE Photo
Elias won the first fall quickly with the drift away. Miz hits the skull crushing finale but Shane interrupted the pin ending the match in a DQ but Shane restarted the fall and Elias won the match with the elbow drop. After the match, Miz got a coast to coast from McMahon for good measure. Even though Miz is a decent babyface, he would've been a better babyface if he actually won a match.

Kayla Braxton interviewed Finn Balor or she found him in this instance because he hasn't been on TV in weeks. She asked him about who's his new challenger and Shinsuke Nakamura showed up doing his signature pose. Now, you got my attention. Hoping the build is at least decent at best.

Nikki Cross vs Bayley. If Nikki Cross Wins Then Alexa Bliss Gets A Rematch At Extreme Rules.

WWE Photo
This was okay. Nikki Cross actually won the match with a springboard modified roll up.

Jumping into the 24/7 stuff, Carmella found R Truth and then, Drake Maverick came to him saying that R Truth ruined his life. Truth actually gave him the opportunity to take the title away from him but he didn't and left Drake sad and empty-handed. Bad Truth! Bad Truth!

Ember Moon vs Sonya Deville.

WWE Photo
Sonya won the match by pushing Moon to a ring post because Ember was distracted from Mandy Rose on the outside.

After that, Aleister Black cut a promo shouting that he wants to fight anybody to which he heard somebody knocking. You know, Aleister should've followed Samoa Joe and tried to beat up somebody but it is what it is.

Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler. 2 out of 3 falls match.

WWE Photo
Kofi was awarded the first fall with a sunset flip pin. Dolph Ziggler won the second fall with the superkick. Kofi Kingston won the third and final fall with the trouble in paradise. Overall, this encounter was aight.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Nothing.

Didn't like: Other than my rant on how Samoa Joe got his title match on RAW last night, nothing.

If you have been a fan of this site since January, then you'll know that I've completely rebooted my review process and now, I'm doing that again.  Don't worry, the format for my RAW, Smackdown and PPV reviews will still be the same but not on Wednesdays. So, here it is, My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays.  NXT The Highlights. Adam Cole vs Matt Riddle For The NXT Championship.  A match that opened this episode of the yellow brand, the original bro and the leader of The Undisputed Era tore the house down.  Whether it's Cole reversing the fireman's carry from Riddle into a backstabber, Cole hitting a Panama sunrise twice, a floating bro or the crowd chanting "Adam Cole, bro", it was a visual statement by NXT that the yellow brand is THE brand to watch.  Unfortunately,  Riddle felt short and ate the last shot but there was another highlight I wanna talk about….. Finn Balor Returns To N. X. T.  It's not a typo my friends, Finn ...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...
